One of the best Boba places. Thai tea is one of my favorites and the customer service is always so friendly.

I dont know when or why you stopped sweetening your teas, but maybe try putting some sugar back in them so they dont taste like crap.

Great boba, great slushes, great teas, friendly employees! But the last month or so when the 2nd shift crew is working, there's rap music with profanity!! We have addressed this with the second shift person behind the counter & he said it's an automatic song player that cannot be controlled? My wife addressed this with the owner only to find it's completely false! The owner said she'd address this with her 2nd shift, however I was there the other day and more profanity & sexual innuendos still, It's your right to listen to what you would like to but in a public place where I bring my five-year-old son and other children as well, this is beyond inappropriate. I will go to boba loca franchise and see what should be done about this. Unacceptable. read more

Product: The drinks are good, although they are definitely over-priced for it's value. Service: I had a great associate who helped us out the first time, who was super friendly and helpful. The second time, some Asian guy was very curtail and blamed us for giving us the wrong order. Maybe try paying attention to what customers ask for? or even verifying for repeating the order in a friendly manner? read more

Bobaloca is my go too boba but I was very disappointed this time . I ordered a Large Thai Tea boba with lychee jelly and of course boba . I waited around 20min just for a boba ! There were about 4 people waiting for their boba and I could tell they've been waiting quiet a while too . The guy taking my order looked and acted new . As he was making the boba he asked 3 costumers including me if their order was correct. I got my boba tired it and oh my was it sweet and they put a lot of Thai tea . I was already half way home when I tried my boba so there was no going back I just stuck with it . So I'm used to the boba places in Riverside, where everybody who works there is Asian, and everybody who frequents it is also Asian. Therefore, it was odd to walk in here and see a bunch of fellow Hispanic people both as workers and customers. I guess I'm only the fifth person to review this place, which is really sad because more people need to check it out. I got the Oreo shake, my brother got the white chocolate frappe, and my sister got the strawberry/banana smoothie. I tried my sister's smoothie and it was pretty good. Not sure if they use natural ingredients, since they prepare it in the back, but it tasted natural enough. My shake was really good and I wished I'd gotten the larger size. Overall I had three complaints: One was that I wish the shake were creamier, since it is... well, a shake. Also, they put a LOT of boba in all the drinks. With every sip you get more tapioca than anything else. Lastly, the workers could have been a bit friendlier. They seemed all strictly business -type thing. In my mind, at these places (coffeehouse, tea house, etc) you're selling the drink as much as you're selling the service. Otherwise, you might as well just put up a boba dispenser machine and do away with workers. read more

My brother brought me some random smoothie with boba from this place. I think it was some sort of strawberry kiwi smoothie. It was super sweet and a bit hard to drink. I ended up just throwing half of the cup away. He told me that it was about $4-$5 for a regular size and i thought that was a bit too much, now that i think about it, i feel bad for throwing it away. I really like this place! My Thai tea always taste the same! It's not overly sweet, just perfect! The customer service leaves something to be desired, though. When a customer walks up to the counter they should be acknowledged by the employee especially after making eye contact with them. Then a second employee walks out and stands in front of the register and begins having a conversation with the initial rude employee, also, not acknowledging the customer. I was honestly about to walk out and go to the boba place down the street. On top of that, I am very disappointed when I get a craving, close to closing time and get there about 10 minutes before closing and the employees have already closed up shop for the night! Best boba in town! Look for the Asian girl with the colored tips, she's the absolute best! She can answer any questions and is always patient with everyone. I think she's been working here for a while too. I usually dont write reviews but this shop deserves one! Definitely will be back! Try the taro slush or oreo shake. The thai tea is great here too! I stopped by today and had a milk boba tea that a friend recommended. Have to say it was different than expected. The milk tea was good, but a bit too sweet for my taste. The tapioca balls were too chewy. Seemed a bit pricey for what you get. The place was clean and the girl behind the counter was very nice. Something I have been obsessed with since I was a child is BOBA. My favorite is Milk Taro not too sure what it is but it's freaking delicious. It's one of the few boba options in d-town, so for that alone, it gets four stars. There was a boba place in Stonewood for a while but that place was terrible. The price is a bit higher than other boba places, but since they do have a monopoly in Downey, there is no reason not to charge a bit higher. I would recommend if they offered specials once in a while since it seems that it has taken a hit with the yogurt place a few doors down. Love their Caramel Frapp! read more

this place is located in a small congested lot and in the corner. The place is clean, but does not have enough seating like other bobba places that facilitate drinking bobba and hanging out. Also, I do not know if this place has corresponding bobba snacks. Their menu includes variety of choices. From horchata slush to coconut milk tea. Their tapioca pearls are very chewy and well cooked. The milk tea is standard, and solid in taste. But nothing to rave about. I know this place makes their drinks from powders. I prefer real brewed tea with milk, like Tea Station. But I wouldn't coming here, they do have solid bobba drinks! read more

Definitely a place I would come back to. I am giving it four stars because the wait was long. They have one person doing everything. Poor girl seemed overwhelmed, however she was very nice and polite. The Boba itself tasted good, not too chewy yet not too hard and the drink was also very delicious.
