Been to a couple other La Michoacana and this is the biggest one with the largest variety of treats/desserts offered. It's a nice place to hang out too. Love the fresh fruit/veggie drinks, paletas, and various water and dairy based tropical fruit (ie. Guayaba, maracuya) and nut flavored ice creams (Ie. Nuez). HOWEVER, i think they would get a lot more customers if they could have a menu explaining what goes into an Esquite, Papas, Raspados, Mangoneado, Esquimales, etc. I would definitely try some of them if knew what toppings I could ask for/omit! The food was okay, we ordered ice cream. We ordered 3 smalls which are 7.50 each. We got one that was the cajeta, another pitaya and fresa, last one was watermelon and guava. We also got a lime palleta. Service was okay we got an older lady that seemed another when we asked for samples and not the friendliest. I used to come here months ago for the guava raspado and LOVED them because you can taste it was made from REAL fruit. I can in today, all the way from Hollywood and ordered one. It was brown in color so I was a bit confused and when I tasted it ... it tasted nothing like guava, it had more of a jellylike tamarind taste to it. They assured me it was guava and offered for me to get something else. So I opted to get the passion fruit one and the pored GLOBS of this jelly like substance that resembled passion fruit. I went yesterday with my mom and boyfriend to La Michoacana for drinks and ice cream. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't great. The employee who helped us, Patricia, had a very negative attitude and didn't seem interested in being there. As a manager, I would expect much better customer service. Her demeanor made us feel unwelcome, and it really affected our visit. She consistently gives attitude, comes off annoyed when you order, and makes you feel rushed--almost like she's brushing you away. She is also extremely stingy with the condiments, barely giving any at all, which just adds to the poor service. Overall, the inconsistency in customer service really affects the experience. I told them what I wanted and they complained that that they had already cleaned the machine basically telling me to get something else. I apologized for essentially making her work which is what she's there for but told her that that's what my friend was craving and she's pregnant so that's what I wanted. This is a heaven on earth!!! It's so refreshing to walk into this place, not only because everything is freshly made but because you can smell the cleanliness! Staff is kind and helpful. The only dilemma I have here that drives me crazy is that I never know what to get, I want everything! I go for the smallest sizes in what I order that way I can order more than one thing lol. Came here to get my mangoneada fix. At first I was skeptical, I usually am of these big chains but decided to try it out anyways. Came in and it looked so clean and nice there was a line but the employees were getting through customers so quickly and efficiently. I ordered a Mangoneada, the lady that was helping said what flavor..... This blew my mind....she showed me the flavors the ice cream come in from traditional mango with chamoy, to Limon with chamoy, tamarindo, cucumber and chamoy, and even pineapple I was very impressed, I tried mango with chamoy, it was delicious, I finished it and wanted more. Let's all scream for ice cream! This place is amazing and it's like an ice cream shop on steroids. They not only sell ice cream, but they have smoothies, juices, bionicos, and salty snacks. I ordered a double scoop order of cucumber chili lime and mazapan ice cream. The clerk who took my order was very nice and told me that I could sample the ice cream. They have a lot of flavors not seen in other stores like rum, tequila, Ferrero Rocher, tamarind, and others. You can make your own sundae with many flavors and toppings. I'm happy the clerk was patient with me because with so many flavors it's hard to choose from. The store is clean and there's tables with chairs to enjoy your treats. The inside of the shop is big and there's restrooms available. On the left side corner is where you can order the drinks and on the corner is all the paletas.
