I love boba and sometimes when I have to go into the office for work, I need to find a place to be able to grab a quick snack while I wait for traffic to die down before my trek home. One such adventure brought me to Bobalicious off Mira Mesa Blvd. A smaller shop located in a busy shopping center right next to several eateries and a target, but still had plenty of variety for anyone stopping by. There was ample seating through the store front, and all our drinks were served fairly quickly from ordering. I debated between the sugar cane drinks or my go to milk tea. Unfortunately I should have gone with the sugar cane option since they were out of matcha the day I went. The Thai tea I ordered was still delicious none the less. read more

This place was a real disappointment. I was craving milk tea and this place was close by my home. I was surprised to see a promo for Milk Tea Mondays (free upgrade on milk tea drinks) and ordered the Oolong milk tea at 50% sweet w/ boba. Drink cost around $6.25. When the drink was given to me, it looked extremely diluted. It was pale, which you can pretty much assume there is more milk than tea in the drink. The boba was ok, it wasn't hard, but wasn't extremely soft and chewy either, and seemed like it was soaked in brown sugar so it had some flavor to it. But the drink was not bobalicious at all. When I got home, it felt like I was drinking water, with milk, and pumps of sugar. Zero tea flavor. And lots of ice in the cup to further dilute the already tasteless drink. I won't be back and don't recommend this place. Got the same drink without boba for my sis, and she agrees it just tastes like sugar. How sad. read more

Non-dairy friendly, indoor seating + open parking, and open late...Bobalicious indeed. There are tables inside to work from or watch tv. I've visited a few times if in the area, and it's one of the few places in sd that I enjoy a non-dairy Thai tea from. I'd suggest going for their Milk Tea Mondays, where drinks are automatically upgraded to large (2 large drinks for $11). read more

First time here! The sugar cane juice sign outside caught my eye, and the worker inside offered me a sample--it was delicious! Then I noticed the well-organized fruit rack inside and found out it's all used for their drinks. I ended up getting a sugar cane juice and mango smoothie, and Nathan upgraded both for free since it was my first visit. Great service and super fresh drinks. I'll definitely be back! read more

Not a bad boba shop, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Luckily I didn't have to, because they are within walking distance from my house. For my visit, I ordered the jasmine green milk tea with boba. The bobas were soft and the drink was decent. It was a bit weak in terms of tea flavor, and a stronger tea taste would've been nice. It was a bit noisy for a boba shop, and resembled a bar. The music was loud and the TVs were on, so there was competing noise. The customer service and the drink were average, so I gave them an average rating of 3 stars. read more

Ever since Bobalicious launched their summer specials, (Thai Tea, Milk Tea, Strawberry Slush/Smoothie, Mango Slush/Smoothie), I've been visiting this shop nearly everyday! Are you kidding me??!! First time trying the Ube Vietnamese Coffee and damn! The best way I can describe it is if you've ever had the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate at Ghirardelli's in California Adventure IYKYK. It is just as thick, rich, and perfectly sweet that I can't wait to have another one. I had it iced today but will definitely try hot when the weather is right. Excellent job Bobalicious. The popcorn chicken was yummy! It had the right flavor, I would have made it a bit spicer. Got the Vietnamese coffee, it was okay. But saw someone get Thai tea and that looked legit! When in Mira mesa SD, I'll try other drinks. The customer service was great, had a sport conversation. The place is cute. read more

The young guys running this place in the morning were great! Cashier and the cook both had great customer service. The popcorn chicken were big, fried well, and the basil leaves were in whole pieces! Delicious boba spot tucked away in a strip mall next to Target and behind Canes and Menya. The staff is so friendly, offered us samples because we were undecided but we just went with it. I ordered the pineapple colada with no toppings. It tasted just like a pina colada, a delicious coconut flavor and so good. My niece ordered the mango drink with boba. There it was beautifully made, bright and had flecks of red and fresh coconut on top. The flavor was powerful, fresh and bright. read more

One of the best taro smoothie boba I've ever had! Ordering was simple, you could order through the ipad in front or with an employee but in this case I think she was by herself because she was in the back making the drinks but she checked in to ask if we were okay to order through the ipad. We ordered three drinks and she got them all out pretty quick. My taro smoothie was perfect, blended well, didn't have the usual powdery taste with some taro, boba was cooked perfectly. This is our second time here ordering the same drink we got the first time, Honeydew Milk tea with baby pearls and cream cheese foam. The first time, it was one of the best drinks we had. It was definitely one for the books. Recently we went back for the same thing. But I guess all good things come to an end. This order, the baby pearls were fused together ans the drink was okay. We will probably be back to try once more or move on to a different drink. The parking is pretty spacious. This storefron is in a shopping center. It is to the left next to the Mexican food store front and Hobby Lobby. The staff was kind. Store was not crowded at all, we went on Wednesday night. read more

The boba is always fresh and tastes so flavorful. Skylar recommended I mix strawberry and mango into a black tea and it was the perfect mix and paired perfectly with their curly fries. The curly fries are a must here! The music and atmosphere here is also great to hang out in. read more

I'm updating my review not because anyone told me to or was contacted but because I gave them a try again after my terrible experience and ever since coming back, I haven't seen the rude girl or ever had a bad experience with their customer service. If anything, it has been the complete opposite and my visits were welcoming and great! Multiple times I've come back and the different guys who helped me were very nice and helpful. I can't speak on their drinks besides the viet coffee (which is delicious with the salt cream on top) but I always see fresh fruit or sugarcane for use in their drinks. Seems like the owner cares about their recipe and quality of ingredients. I genuinely think the owner took everyone's feedback and actually did something because it shows. I read someone mentioning they don't ever had popcorn chicken but the times I've went, I've smelled them cooking it so they def seem to have it. read more

Tucked away in the corner of a busy plaza, Bobalicious is a solid boba spot. They offer a variety of drinks, from your classic Thai tea to Chamango! My personal favorite is the chrysanthemum iced tea. I frequent many boba shops and very few offer chrysanthemum iced tea, so I was delighted the first time I came here and it was on the menu. Since then, I've returned several times for the chrysanthemum iced tea. I've tried other drinks and be aware that they do make it on the sweeter side, so I recommend that you order with less sugar if you don't like sweet drinks. And most importantly, the boba is good! Safe to say I'll be back again many times for the chrysanthemum iced tea! read more

The almond milk tea was overly sweet and tasted super artificial. I don't even think you could call it milk tea because there was absolutely no tea. The milk didn't even taste like milk. It was more like watered down milk with almond flavoring. I asked for 25% sweet and the drink was still very sugary. The boba was chewy and tasted okay, but there was a tiny hardened piece that nearly chipped my tooth. Definitely would not recommend this place. I tossed most of the drink because it was not worth the calories and just tasted bad. I feel like I wasted $5. Five bucks won't buy you much these days but that doesn't mean I want to throw $5 down the drain. read more

The taro and cookies n cream with boba is my favorite from this spot! I love that Bobalicious has mini bobas as an option as well because not a lot of places I go to have mini bobas. Every time I come here, everyone is really nice and the service is fairly quick. If you're not a taro fan like I guess I am, their menu is pretty extensive and they even serve ice cream. Lastly, this place does have a good seating area with tables and even a sofa area, so it's a nice place to come and enjoy your boba with friends/family or solo. read more

I have been going to this complex for years and never really noticed this hidden gem. Overall, they have great boba and service. My preference are smoothies and slushes on the thicker side. This spot is the OG and I'm glad they're back as bobalicious! Plenty of parking and a great place to go before or after walking your partner inside Target. Window shopping and fighting over financials can be exhausting during Target trips. For the first time ever, I don't even have a recommendation because they've never let me down. Try whatever you want because they got you. If you really need help, just get a Hokkaido or a Jasmine Milk Tea with boba. If you want something refreshing, I'd go for the avocado smoothie. If you want snacks, get the popcorn chicken. Again, try whatever because everything is made pretty well with good consistency. Ambience or VIBE is Mira Mesa. You'll walk in to either some throwbacks or a mix of kpop/throwbacks. The TV always plays something car related which I love and it's basically community. Bobalicious is just a humble shop. *Warning* If you ask for no ice, they'll charge you $1 extra :( No heads up or warning before paying unfortunately, so committed to see how the drinks were so I could give it a chance and potentially leave a valid review. Drinks (okinawa milk tea, on the block) were fine, boba chewy/flavor ok. Mainly leaving a review because I was surprised and disappointed that I was charged for no ice without being told since that's never happened before. Great Boba but kind of expensive. Their are a lot of places to get Boba but these shops that specialize in it seem like they over price a lot of there drinks. First of all, the regular milk/fruit teas are $6 for a regular size and an extra $0.75 for boba, which is already pretty expensive considering the size of it. And secondly, although the drink tasted okay, I found a hair inside of it after I was almost finished, absolutely unsanitary. Do not recommend. read more

One of my favorite boba places where I used to live. Love the Watermelon Slush and Mango Slush. Doesn't taste artificial for me. Sweetness is okay. The only problem sometimes is the cashiers go inside so some customers just stand and wait on the counter. Love this Boba Place. read more
