Portland was in the middle of a heat wave during our August anniversary trip, but that wasn't stopping us from hitting up the various food carts that the city is known for.
We hit up Park the Carts for food and drinks after a morning spent at the waterfalls and fish hatchery.
Bobablastic caught my eye as I can never go too long without my boba fix.
I wasn't feeling like any of the fancier drinks and went with a classic lavender milk tea with boba.
It was a great choice after all! The price was reasonable, and my drink was made quickly. I was the only one in line, and the girl operating the cart was friendly.
The lavender syrup definitely shone through the tea, which was perfect as I love when the syrup flavor is strong. The tea itself was just fine. The boba unfortunately was overcooked and squishy.
Overall, the drink was refreshing, and the perfect size for a hot August afternoon.
There were only a few people at Park the Carts that day as well, so we pretty much had a nice quiet spot to ourselves. read more
