I made the mistake of going here hungover and the greasy crunchy cheesiness was nauseating asf so definitely not the place to go after a night of heavy drinking. not pictured i also got the Ube Late with boba and it was just alright, had a lukewarm watery flavor but i still drank all of it lol. I enjoy the texture of mochi donuts in general. However I don't find Mochinut's flavors to be very strong or tasty. It's also $18.50 for a half dozen or $33 for a dozen. Because of that, this is a spot I generally only go to when friends want to. I haven't tried their corn dogs or bubble tea or ice cream. The store interior is bright, but you can tell customers and their kids really wreck this place throughout the day. It could use a deep clean and more frequent sweeping and wipe down. read more

Went here after walking up and down Hawthorne all day shopping for a quick treat. Ambiance and environment: Cozy with trendy neon lights, prints and aesthetic colors. It was a hot day outside but inside the shop was cool which provided a great break. Couple of window seats also which provided good option for instagram photos. Food selection: There were plenty of drink options from boba to lemonade, can't speak to these because I haven't tried them but looks tasty. Service: Was kind of busy and the person behind the counter was overwhelmed but nothing too crazy, got our orders in about 5-10 minutes. The lady behind the counter was super nice, we waited for about 10 minutes and gave us donuts for free because we were waiting so long. I didn't think we were but got them anyway (still offered to pay for one of them cause we felt bad). I got 2 mochi donuts: Mocha/chocolate churro and a blackberry drizzle with powdered sugar. The flavors were not bad but the donuts were a lot more chewy than expected. The donuts are cooked then put out instead of made to order which explains why. Not only is there literally no parking bc of their location, I got notified on my way there the order was canceled bc they ran out of the items I ordered. I haven't had much experience with Korean hot dogs, but they are some of the most interesting and fun way to enjoy eating a hot dog. We went with two different ones, both half and half, which is mozzarella and hot dog. My daughter got a ramen crust and I got the potato crust. When one thinks about Korean hot dogs usually the one with potatoes is the visual. They had ones with hot Cheeto dust as well. There were options for dipping sauce as well. My daughter got a garlic mayo and that was hands down great. I asked for Sriracha mayo but somehow ended up with a curry mayo. As I said at the beginning, soft opening. The ramekin was mislabeled. There were about 10 people in front of me today when I went for the grand opening today around 5pm and I was in and out of the store within 15 mins! Super fast service and the workers were wonderful. Super easy to order and they moved us along the line quickly! Honestly I was so impressed compared to the grand opening experience I had at the beaverton location awhile back. This Hawthorne location and their employees have the system down! This location is also so much cuter with their interior decorations and it was super bright and fun with a lot more seating than the other location in beaverton! I ordered the dozen mochi donut and got 3 free mochi donuts during their grand opening special, the vanilla/strawberry lemonade swirl soft serve with a black sesame donut and also got a super cute pudding cup for free after spending $38. This weeks flavor were black sesame, tangerine churro, Belgium chocolate Kit Kat, peachy keen, white chocolate funnel cake, and blueberry. Black sesame was my favorite! We Came for the grand opening week and received 3 extra mochinuts with the purchase of a dozen. The interior is bright and cute, a perfect place to bring kids. They had about 6 mochinuts available the morning we came in (they opened at 11 and we were there before 11:30). We tried the mango, watermelon, churro with black sesame, funnel cake with black raspberry, coffee, and Nutella almond. We all liked the mango, verryyy mango forward whereas the others were a little more subtle. But the texture is great and they are perfect for sharing.
