Every time I see the blue star donut logo when visiting Portland, my heart jumps for joy. As a donut queen herself, I am easily giving blue star donuts a perfect 5 out of 5 rating. Why? Because of its perfectly baked donut texture, crunchy but not too crunchy on the outside. Soft on the inside. The flavors might sound crazy...but in all honesty they taste crazy GOOD. I got the blueberry donut and apple fritter for the hubby. My donut didn't make it out of the door. It was gone in seconds. My friend ordered the lemon poppy donut...I'm drooling just thinking about it lol. So freakin good. This location has a nice space as there's plenty of seating inside, a drink menu and more. There's street parking and residential parking as well. Shoutout to the kind staff here. I will 100% be back.

We got the Toasted S'mores Old Fashioned and Cherry Old Fashioned Brûlée and they were great. They tasted fresh. The Cherry Old Fashioned Brûlée had bourbon and Cointreau in it.

These are good donuts. Not knocking anyone's socks off. But they are tasty. I got the blueberry bourbon basil raised donut and the matcha cake donut. Consistency of the donuts are both good. The cake donut was extremely oily... Extremely delicious because of it but it was a bit much. I couldn't taste the basil at all in the glaze for the blueberry bourbon basil donut.

I've had Blue Star donuts before but this time I decided to get some delivered to make up for a donut event I missing that weekend. I like that you can get a little price break when ordering a dozen, half, etc. Although not all flavors were an option most were. I figured I might miss out on one flavor but it's not like a different one isn't also going to be delicious. Chose not just different flavors but style too - cake, raised, filled. Of course they were all moist and amazing. Yes, these are expensive. You do get really high quality and of course the variety of flavors you don't get just anywhere. If you just want cheap donuts go to the grocery store, this is where you come to splurge.

I was craving a donut and Blue Star came up on my nearby suggestion list. Nice and clean shop however, it's located on Division making it hard to find parking during certain parts of the day. The service was good, they were friendly. There was not a large variety to choose from but the flavors they did have were tasted good. I really liked the lemon poppy seed old fashioned and the chocolate bergamot old fashioned. I also ordered an earl gray tea latte and it was ok. C

I had a very positive experience in this Blue Star Donut shop. There was not a big crowd or line and I got to the front of the counter really quickly. I was not there for coffee, only donuts. I had a great conversation with the server behind the counter, which led me to an even tougher time deciding what to get. I REALLY debated over the OG and the blueberry bourbon for a ridiculous amount of time, in the middle of which, I sampled the the raspberry, which I liked, but not enough to get me out from between the OG rock and the hard place BB. Eventually, I went with the OG, which was a raised donut with a horchata glaze. It was pretty great and I loved every minute of it, but I did leave with some buyers remorse that I hadn't selected the blueberry bourbon. Honestly, I should have just bought both!

I still think about these donuts Blue Star Donuts are bomb . The Chocolate Bergamot donut was the first one I tried. Its rich chocolate flavor balanced by the citrusy notes of bergamot was unique and it was a nice surprise. The Orange Olive Oil donut was refreshingly bright and tangy, with the olive oil adding a subtle richness. Finally, the Buttermilk Old Fashioned was a classic done to perfection--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with a tangy sweetness of a glazed donut.

Love Blue Star! Some of my favorite donuts in Portland! Ordered a Too Good to Go bag and received four donuts for $5.99 - awesome deal!

The Matcha Crumble Donut and the Blueberry Bourbon Donut. Both extremely delicious and addicting!

It's been quite a while where I have heard of Blue Star Donuts but didn't get an actual opportunity to go to one of their locations until recently and now I wish I went there so much sooner because what we had was just amazing! Described as donuts for adults this is referring to the slant of donuts being an enormous sugar bomb with each bite you take. But that isn't the case here as while the donuts are sweet it isn't overpowering and it let's the dough and frosting to play around with the complexity offered. Kids may not like the flavors for example I don't know a whole lot of kids that like matcha but more adults that are into it. Which leads me into the Matcha Crumble donut that I had. Man, this became my favorite donut out of the two I had. The bitterness of the matcha was certainly there but the crumbles and the dough provide an excellent balance to the flavor. This donut was a cake donut. Another very good donut I had was a raised Blueberry Bourbon Donut which was enjoyable also and the Blueberry or Bourbon wasn't too dominating. It was a pleasant experience for sure. Steve got a pear fritter that was very good also! I am so looking forward to a return trip to Blue Star so I can explore their other donut options. Hopefully in the near future that return visit will be!

Everyone talks about blue star and Portland so we had to give it a shot. We visited another located on the northwest and they were sold out by 12pm, so we drove to this location the following day. Staffs were so friendly and nice, keep in mind that there is no parking even on a Monday morning at 8am, because we didn't want to get sold out again. Blueberry bourbon: 4/5 Crème brûlée: 4/5 The donuts were good! Just not something I'd go out of my way for. It's definitely different and unique.

They got me!! I'm hooked!! SUPER good donuts. Flavorful, fresh, fluffy, unique. Everything I need to cure my donut craving. These bad boys are famous for a reason ;) Please try the olive oil orange donut (the one with powder sugar) it changed my life.

The space itself is smaller and intimate, so bringing a larger group than about 4-5 people might not be ideal. The ambiance definitely gave Italy vibes, for sure. The chicken liver mousse was a good consistency, paired with the figs gave a nice balance between sweet and savory. The steak frites was a classic, steak was a good portion and cooked medium rare, but I'm sure if you wanted it more cooked through, you could make that request. The fries were definitely a standout, great texture and the garlic flavor gave a good contrast to the steak. My favorite dish was the dessert, the flaky crust gave a nice texture to the cream insides. I'm a huge passionfruit fan, so once I saw it was on the menu, I knew I had to try it. It didn't disappoint and I would definitely come back just for this dish alone. Overall a solid experience and would recommend people to try Canard out at least once!

The salmon benedict, although highly recommended by the waitress, was extremely fishy, even though the "hollandaise sauce" (which had no depth of flavor, and was just thick) covered the entirety of the egg, salmon, and english muffin. It came with cheesy hash browns which again had no depth of flavor. Cheese makes anything tasty but it was just too much. The service, while friendly, was not attentive.
