    Raspberry rosemary donut

Well, their mission statement reads they "wish for all our cares to melt away." What actually melted away was this greasy donut when placed in my carry-on bag. Thank goodness I noticed the grease soaked paper bag before slipping it in. I happened to have a small ziploc with me, which saved the contents of my bag. When I brought the donut out in mid-flight, the paper bag had completely soaked through, creating a puddle of oil in the bottom of the ziploc. I kid you not. Completely inedible. I'm attaching a photo of my partner's donut, also grease soaked. Notice the corona of oil deep into the cake. The mouth feel of that donut was indescribable and just to be clear, not in a good way. Though the lowly grocery store donuts do not have the interesting flavor combinations offered at Blue Star, they have one important advantage. They're edible.

Overrated. $5 per donut isn't worth it when it's no different from what you get at a Krispy Kreme or Dunkin. We tried two - the maple and OG. I think I tasted the horchata flavor in just one bite, and even that was overpowered by the sweetness. Meh.

    Greasy and nasty.

Ordered the buttermilk old fashioned. Worst donut I have ever had in my life. It was a total grease bomb! Rather than being soft and cake like, this thing had a crunch of fried bread the first 1/2 inch on each side. It was dripping in grease. Not sure what happened- but it was absolutely disgusting.

A Portland staple, I'm so glad they had a location at the airport! There wasn't much of a line Sunday morning when we went and everyone working was nice. I also loved the bright, neon colored sign! I decided to try the toasted s'mores old fashioned doughnut. It was great, everything I wanted and needed from a doughnut! Definitely check out Blue Star doughnuts while visiting Portland!

Blue Star Donuts was on my list of places to visit while in Portland. I was happy I didn't have to go far since it was located in the airport after I got off of my plane. It also happened to be donut happy hour so we got a discount! Staff was super friendly in recommended me two different flavors! I liked the blueberry basil one better but my hubby liked the chocolate. Both had unique flavor profiles!

In the Delta (D section) of the Portland airport sits this fantastic donut stand. Having some wait time and spying no customers in line, I determined it was a sign from above that I ought to get donuts and coffee. The smiling young woman at the counter took my order for two donuts (Cherry Berry Cheesecake and Buttermilk Old Fashioned) and an iced mocha. The donuts were quickly boxed and she finished my mocha in a couple minutes. The mocha was strong, chocolately and gave me borderline jitters. The Cherry Berry Cheesecake donut had a cherry and raspberry cream cheese filling and a cherry brandy glaze. It also had some fruit crispies and white chocolate pearls on top, neither of which added flavor but made it visually appealing. The filling was okay...kind of weird actually...I think I liked it? The donut itself was quite good. The Buttermilk Old Fashioned was fantastic. I could eat one every day. It was made with horchata, cinnamon, and vanilla with a buttermilk cake. It had a vivid horchata flavor. Superb! Some reviews mention their donuts were oily but mine definitely were not. Both of my donuts were fresh and satisfying. Excellent treats to enjoy before my flight.

    Matcha and matcha crunch donut

Came here during an unexpected layover in Portland. Can I just say that with the renovations the Portland airport looks amazing? Following the renovations, it seems like the donuts are made on site -- which adds much freshness to the donuts. Was recommended to get the old fashioned donuts from here by friends/family who passed through this area frequently. They were out of the regular ones, but I got the raspberry and chocolate to bring home (to the family member who made the initial recommendation). I got a matcha crunch donut for myself as well as a matcha. The donut was wonderfully flavored: the matcha frosting on top packs the matcha flavor in without being overwhelming, the almonds add a nice crunch, and the underlying donut is the perfect cake donut texture. The matcha I got without any sweetener, and I thought it was pretty decent! Not the best matcha I've had, but certainly better than I would expect from a donut shop! Service was very nice and friendly! Definitely stopping by again if I ever pass through the Portland airport or Portland area

The new airport mesmerized me so much that I had to get some donuts to calm myself down . I picked a classic Boston cream and it didn't disappoint. Sugary soft goodness-just what Bluestar is known for. Good service and exorbitant price...ahh good times !

Looks enticing after TSA but too sweet and oily. Split a raspberry rosemary donut with my partner but it was soooo sweet. The dough was overcooked and it definitely retained a lot of oil. Lavender latte had a good lavender taste but it was also soo sweet. Definitely drank a lot of water before our flight boarded.

Blueberry bourbon and a chocolate bergamot old fashioned

French tasting donuts! I like the unique flavors. We tried a blueberry bourbon basil, which tasted more like a blueberry lemon flavor. We also had a chocolate bergamot old fashioned; the bergamot was not very prevalent but it tasted like a tamed down chocolate flavor.

Yummy, yummy, yummy! What a great treat for the airport passer byers. Donuts for Adults Fast and friendly service.

Perfect spot to grab some donuts as souvenirs before you head out, or as gifts to your dog sitter while you were away! Some of the more popular flavors were sold out by the time we went, but it was still tastier than some of the more nationally known donut spots.

Located in the PDX and on our way to Gate 6! Lucky us. Picked up 5 to go. Original glazed Buttermilk Old Fashioned , Gingerbread Old Fashioned, Chocolate Peppermint Old Fashioned, Blueberry Bourbon Basil, and the Party OG. We tried the Buttermilk Old Fashioned. It was fresh and delicious. Much, much better than the old kiosk that sold previously frozen Blue Star donut holes! Service was fast and friendly here. Ambiance: clean and a roped line, which is standard for airport vendors. Food: 4/5 stars Service: 5/5 stars Ambiance: 3/5 stars

The space itself is smaller and intimate, so bringing a larger group than about 4-5 people might not be ideal. The ambiance definitely gave Italy vibes, for sure. The chicken liver mousse was a good consistency, paired with the figs gave a nice balance between sweet and savory. The steak frites was a classic, steak was a good portion and cooked medium rare, but I'm sure if you wanted it more cooked through, you could make that request. The fries were definitely a standout, great texture and the garlic flavor gave a good contrast to the steak. My favorite dish was the dessert, the flaky crust gave a nice texture to the cream insides. I'm a huge passionfruit fan, so once I saw it was on the menu, I knew I had to try it. The salmon benedict, although highly recommended by the waitress, was extremely fishy, even though the "hollandaise sauce" (which had no depth of flavor, and was just thick) covered the entirety of the egg, salmon, and english muffin. It came with cheesy hash browns which again had no depth of flavor. Cheese makes anything tasty but it was just too much. The service, while friendly, was not attentive. We were unsure who our server was and I had to flag down the server for the bill and then to take my card 10 minutes later.
