Stopped into the Tualatin Vitality Bowls on a Saturday evening and ordered a large Superfood Bowl…read morewith pea protein blended in. It came loaded: sliced banana fanned around the edge, then blueberries, goji berries, cacao nibs, granola, and a drizzle of honey, all over an açaí, pitaya, and graviola base. It was generous and fresh, and the fruit looked like it had been cut that evening. What sets this place apart is what's missing. The menu says no ice or frozen yogurt fillers, and you can taste it. The bowl is dense and fruit-forward, not a sugary slush. It kept me full for hours. The space is better than it needs to be for a bowl shop. There's an open ceiling, warm pendant lights, a fireplace with a lounge corner, a kids' play area, and high chairs. It's clean and calm, a spot where you could actually sit and eat. I also liked the local touches: posters for the Tualatin cheer squad and Tigard Tigers soccer, both teams they sponsor. You can tell this is a neighborhood business. Daniela took my order and was friendly and quick. Five stars, and I'll be back to try the Dragon Bowl.

The serving size was decent but where it fell short was the lack of flavor in the Mac and most of the ribs were so fatty with very little edible meat on them. Over half of my ribs ended up being tossed due to the fatty portions. Unfortunately I had much higher hopes for flavor and quality.

Fries are decent but will sog-out very quickly in the paper bag they serve them to you in. Also perhaps I was a bit oblivious but the fries are all fried in PEANUT OIL.
