    Salad Roll Pork & Shrimp
    Ciarra L.

Food: Pork & Shrimp Salad Roll with peanut sauce. As far as taste goes/ these are somewhat bland, the main thing that has flavor was the peanut sauce. The ingredients seemed fresh. I ordered Pad Thai- I give it a 3 out 5. The bean sprouts were cold- I've had them where they're mixed and they're warm at previous places- so I wasn't a fan of the cold ones. The noodles are somewhat on the thicker side. Sauce was ok. Not as much green onion as I would prefer. Drinks are canned soda- I had orange Fanta. Service: the gal working was friendly, kinda on the quiet side. They will pack your items for you if you get to go things. Ambiance- it's darkly lit so be aware of that. If I was asked to return, it would be a no. I just wasn't a fan of the food... if I was comparing to other Pho places I've been.

Very delicious! Very fresh! Excellent service ! The service was very kind and quick ! We got salad rolls as well but ate them too quickly to photograph but highly recommend!

A-maz-ing. As always. So much flavor. Tried the lemongrass bun, tofu for me and chicken for the hubs, and we both loved it. The sauce was soo good I wanted to lick my plate. We usually get the pho, massaman curry and salad rolls. Glad we tried this!

We love Pho Thi. One of our favorites. Recently, the pho broth is off. Too much 5 spice, less umami. We are hoping the chef is out sick and they thay havent changed the recipe. The wings are awesome, but bring back the old broth!

We shared the cream cheese wontons, coconut curry with chicken spice level 2(which comes with rice), and the luc lac. Everything was deliciousss! The chicken in the curry broke apart so easily and the curry itself was very flavorful. Spice level 2 was perfect for a little kick, but not too much. The meat on the luc lac has a nice char on it and a sauce that is almost sweet. Service is quick and the vibe inside is very trendy with colorful decor and lights. Great for a night out. Previous visits have sometimes left us confused as if we ordered something different than a usual so i would say it is not too consistent but great if you catch it on a good day.

They took our drinks order and handed the drinks while we were in the line. Once we got to the register, we put in our food order and paid. The restaurant was semi self served. We got to our table few minutes after ordering. Guests also had the option to order to go and dine in the tent tables outside. The interior of the place was so stunning. There were dragon on walls, umbrellas in the ceiling, a huge full service bar. Our dishes came out within few minutes. We got the chicken skewers, chicken pho, chicken luc lac and steak rolls. We liked the small plate dishes, but the entree ones were disappointing. The chickens were chunky and dry, bland flavor. As much as we loved the vibe of the place, we didn't enjoy the food as much. The staff members were very joyful and friendly. They were explaining the process to every guest and keeping everyone informed on waiting time. During dining, they were also available to help.

Was greeted immediately. Menu had so much choices and I wanted to eat everything but instead I choose a few. First rare steak and rib pho first off best broth soooo good and meat was extremely tender. Was so good I didnt want to put any sauce in it keep it plain just a touch of hot sauce. I usually use tons of fish sauce and hot sauce but this time it was comforting and delicious. The noodles they used was quality no flour taste. I also ordered short rib and shrimp rice plate. Rib was tender and delicious, spring rolls and hot and iced Vietnamese coffee. My fav. Everything was so good I left happy and warm.

Oh man when I say this has to be in my top 5 BBH restaurants of all time, I mean it!…read more We recently went on our anniversary trip to the PNW and I was looking for an authentic BBH place in Portland. You cannot take the Asian out of me, even if we visit the PNW, haha. I have to have my Vietnamese food fix. This restaurant caught my eye. The no-frills interior and the fact that I saw a ton of banana blossoms in other Yelpers' reviews was a dead giveaway that this place would be good. And boy was I right. It was a sweltering day when we went (apparently we visited during a heat wave), but that didn't stop us from eating there. The restaurant is located in a pretty ghetto part of Portland, but I didn't feel unsafe eating there. The swamp cooler was blasting and there was a Vietnamese soap opera playing. We were already set on ordering what they were known for, so we quickly placed our order. The owner was super nice and service was so attentive. He brought out iced teas for us as well. It didn't take very long for our hot bowls of BBH to arrive. First to our table were the freshest herbs and banana blossoms. I have never seen so many banana blossoms when ordering BBH in my life, it made me super happy to see them! Small side dishes of fish sauce with chilies were also served with our BBH, and I eagerly dug in. Everything was so good! The meats were tender and the pork knuckles were so fatty. The cha was also nice with a good spicy kick from the peppercorns. We ordered our BBH spicy and it was indeed spicy, as it should be. The pork blood was also salted and actually pretty flavorful! I ate my husband's pork blood cubes bc he didn't want them. I added the chili fish sauce to my broth and it definitely enhanced the flavor. I didn't bother to ask about adding shrimp paste as I generally do because I enjoyed the clean flavor of the broth itself. I did, however, ask for more limes, since I enjoy having extra limes with my BBH. The noodles were a tad overcooked but not mushy, so that was fine. We briefly chatted with the owner when we were done, and he asked where we were from. When I told him I've had plenty of BBH in SJ but especially loved his version, he said he knew where that was and wholeheartedly thanked us for visiting his restaurant! I'm so happy I was able to find a hidden gem for my BBH fix during our time in Portland, and will definitely make a special trip to return every time we visit the PNW!

I had the bún (rice noodles) with grilled chicken and charred prawns. The first bite was good: prawns were excellent, lightly cooked, moist with a smoky sweet char. The second bite included nicely herbed noodles with fresh, good quality lettuce, mint and cilantro. The third bite, and majority of the dish unfortunately, contained overcooked, chewy chicken. The fish sauce mixture lacked birds eye chili, acid and seasoning. Dry chicken dominated, but ironically components that require more delicate treatment were prepared well. The fried spring rolls (cha gio) were greasy, missing that blistered, bubbly skin.. My companion ordered a strawberry matcha and the vegetarian bún: nice and herby and green, but lacking that good flavor (chili, acid) in the Nước Chấm fish sauce. It shouldn't be solely up to sriracha to get a dish to the right flavors. In all, a nice spot aesthetically and friendly staff but while dishes had super fresh veg and some solid proteins, other proteins were overcooked and our dishes were missed some of the flavors we love to see in Vietnamese food.
