Roxy's is an insane 100/10. On every level possible, Roxy's exceeds expectations. I've eaten here all the time, but today want to specifically review their catering. I placed a catering order for a dozen people for an employee appreciation event and it solidified my love for Roxy's for all occasions. A dozen construction dudes kept raving about the food between bites. The portions were generous and they all left super full. For the price, this was an extremely reasonable way to feed our employees, and for the quality and taste it was a bargain. I emailed to bump up my pick up date a few days prior and Danny & Shayna (owners) responded back immediately, accommodating my ask. The staff here is always so friendly & the vibes are great. Thank you SO much for catering our event.

So I've been to several Roxies actually all of them I think and this one is up there with some of the best. The Mac salad was good. The ribs were meaty. The chicken was crispy.

    No Mac :(

No Mac :( very sad but also not driving back. Going to wait to tip next time until receiving order. Extra sad because it's the second time it's happened to me and I really like Roxy's for their Mac.

Kalbi Beef for me and Moco Loco for my husband. So good - even the macaroni salad was delicious. For the record they're open Sundays obviously since we just got back even though Yelp shows closed. The service was great. The gal at the counter was super sweet. The pictures do not come close to doing the food justice. The restaurant is smaller and a little underwhelming for atmosphere, but it seemed most people order to go. They were pretty busy with Grub Hub orders.

On the plus side, they try to get authentic food. A real place will have loco moco and one or more spam dishes, they have both. On the other side, the prices seem high and while the disposable containers are also authentic Hawaiian, it's not nesc the best thing to continue for an Oregon clientele. The teriyaki sauce was thin and had a bit of an odd flavor. I tried the orange chicken, teriyaki chicken and chicken katsu (on three separate visits) - I like the option to switch out lettuce and dressing ("salad") for the mac salad and white rice. These dishes were ok, but not my favorite. They looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for pickled ginger to go with the teriyaki chicken - which might be more of a japanese taste than hawaiian, but it really goes well. The wife had a hamburger with pineapple - while she thought it tasted ok, it was weird in that the outside of the burger was actually crispy. The fries are pretty good, even though they (nor anything else) comes with the burger. If you include rice and mac salad for other entrees at roughly the same price point, why not include fries with the burger? The daughter had a veggie sandwich - and wasn't sure if the veggies came out of a bag of frozen or not, either way, they did not taste very fresh. I hoped by the third visit things would have picked up, but I'm still not impressed.

Food was great... until I found a hair in the middle disappointed especially after paying $30 for only two meals.

Best Hawaiian chicken in the area. Moist not dried out, tastes like you just grabbed it off the BBQ.

My partner and I got the grilled bbq chicken and the bbq short ribs + marinated beef. Unfortunately, the deep fried chicken was sold out for the day (we came in about 45 minutes until closing so perhaps our fault). I think because of the time we came in- we got kitchen scraps. The short ribs were 90% fat and 10% actual meat. The macaroni salad was incredibly plain, it needed more seasoning - pepper something because it straight up looked it was pasta with slabbed mayo. I will however give a shot out to their poke because I don't eat seafood nor like it and I did give this a try for the fun of it and it was delicious. Again I think because we came in 40-45 minutes before closing closing the service was not great either. I saw the self service bottles of sauce and when I came back I asked the lady for one and she said she had run out when it was pretty clear she was just cleaning up. Fair- you want to get out of there on time. So I asked the lady for hot sauce and she said it was extra and charged me $1.00 per 2.5oz container which is just diabolical in my opinion- I still paid none the less so it's my dusky for contribution to the fiasco. Overall it was mid, I'm used to much more flavorful food in Los Angeles. Ill give it another go whenever I'm in the area at a different time. Perhaps it was a one off day for them.

The BBQ chicken was flavorful and well cooked. The Kalua pork was tender and really good. The musubi had a lot more flavor than I've had at other places. Now the Kogi fries were amazing and puts this spot in the front lines with others. The bulgogi was super tender, the sauce had a mild spiciness to it, the kimchi tasted fresh and the waffle fries were prefect! The macaroni salad and rice were both pretty standard. Price is a little high but when it came out I felt ok with it. I like the Mac salad. Not too cute, just good simple Mac salad. The garlic chicken had a really good texture. Crispy and juicy. The only thing I would change is the sauce was kind of wimpy. It was a little sweet and a little garlicky but I wanted a lot more of both. The spicy pork was not my favorite. Spicy pork bulgogi is one of my favorites. The problem I had was it was too dry. So it made the spice a little too forward in the wrong way. I could be talked into coming back.

But today, I had the time to swing by and fortunately he was open, but SOLD OUT. Fortunately, he had a few things left over. So I said yes to a mix plate. Nolan's Hawaii accent is still thick it made me feel like I was back home on the west side for a second (!!!!thank you!!!!) I met some people outside the food stand, a business man from Hawaii and some California people I mistaken were from Hawaii as well, lol. It was an awesome interaction, from the moment I got there I got greeted by strangers waiting for food, to going up to the window and asking "so what? No more nuttin left?" Nolan's response was "Nah I only get mochicko chicken and kalua, you likem?" Haha that was a definite yes! Won't miss out on home food esp if word of mouth was already out there. So I waited a few minutes for my food, and the box was heavy. Haha it felt like when you would eat at your aunty and uncles house and they pack you the party left overs. I opened my plate lunch and I was greeted by a huge portion of chicken, pork rice and Mac salad. And let me tell you, the Mac salad didn't have so much frills like what you would see in a Portland Hawaii food joint. It was sauced, and seasoned. PERFECT! No need for all the extra add ons. As I started eating, let me say that kalua pork was no joke so moist and easy to eat not even close to dried out. The chicken tasted nice and crispy with just enough marinate and fluff. I haven't found this anywhere in Oregon..until here. Yeah sure there's a poke and katsu bar in the shopping center next door... but I take the random food cart in the parking lot any day over something franchised
