I've had Roxy's on my to try list and decided to check it out since we were in the area. -Customer service 5 The gentleman who took my order was very friendly, welcoming and ensured we had napkins, sauce, utensils etc. He let us know a general wait time as well. - Food 3 I ordered the Kalbi Ribs plate with a side of rice and an extra scoop of Mac for my daughter. The serving size was decent but where it fell short was the lack of flavor in the Mac and most of the ribs were so fatty with very little edible meat on them. Over half of my ribs ended up being tossed due to the fatty portions. Unfortunately I had much higher hopes for flavor and quality. read more

Walking in feels good, a little thrown together, but the music and atmosphere are relaxed and fun. The staff were wonderful, chill, and helpful with any questions. The menu outside on the window had some stuff, the menus inside had some more, so that was a little confusing. You stand in line, order, and then find your seat. I liked this order of operations as it helps speed up what aim going to order. The food was good. I think I did myself a disservice by ordering a meal that I've made myself, and had plenty of other times, therefore I had really high expectations. This did impact my rating. My son had the Kalbi Chicken, and while he enjoyed it, it was a bit dryer than hoped. The flavor was good. The mouth feel of dryer meat, with rice, and minimal sauce made it a little more difficult. More sauce may have made it better. The flavor was good. I had the Loco Moco. First I think the gravy was tasty. I removed the rice, and was offered veggies, but that would have been too much food. For me the dish really is in the gravy, meat, and egg. The egg was perfect. The patty was preformed, which gave a frozen vibe, instead of a fresh patty. The taste of the patty was pretty good. The combination of gravy, egg (and. Yolk), and gravy were good. I think it could have been a bit better (hand formed patty would have made it even feel a bit more authentic, and less like fast food). I do want to share that I enjoyed the Mac salad, I've had this at a couple other places and this one I enjoyed more than the others. I will be going back, and trying some other dishes where I have less bias, and will update my review based on those experiences. read more

Roxy's is an insane 100/10. On every level possible, Roxy's exceeds expectations. I've eaten here all the time, but today want to specifically review their catering. I placed a catering order for a dozen people for an employee appreciation event and it solidified my love for Roxy's for all occasions. A dozen construction dudes kept raving about the food between bites. The portions were generous and they all left super full. For the price, this was an extremely reasonable way to feed our employees, and for the quality and taste it was a bargain. I emailed to bump up my pick up date a few days prior and Danny & Shayna (owners) responded back immediately, accommodating my ask. The staff here is always so friendly & the vibes are great. My son & I came here for something better than fast food, and it sure was. I ordered the teriyaki chicken plate. It was tasty & moist. Oddly enough I was more impressed by the mac salad. There was just something special about it that's hard to define. My son liked his orange chicken, saying it was much better than Panda Express. The service was great. The gal at the counter was super sweet. The pictures do not come close to doing the food justice. The restaurant is smaller and a little underwhelming for atmosphere, but it seemed most people order to go. They were pretty busy with Grub Hub orders. read more

I eat at the Tualatin and or Sherwood Roxy's at least weekly. This place was not on par with what I'm used to experiencing. Super dirty. I'm not sure if all of the Roxy's are connected but this one needs some lovin. I do not recommend coming to this place. Food was served cold and the chicken was very chewy. Overcooked? Went in a week ago during normal lunch hours. Place was empty not a good sign but a few doordashers/Uber drivers arrived. place served standard Hawaiian fare, of which I am quite familiar. Ordered the sweet garlic chicken, which came with Mac salad and rice (normal). first off, I'm a Mac salad aficionado, and theirs was quite good, on par with what you'd typically find on the islands. while the sweet garlic chicken was really good the first few bites, I don't know why but as soon as it cooled down, it was like chewing bubblegum. Think it got overlooked which is too bad. Staff was friendly and even apologetic that the food wasn't "fast" -that's a-ok with me, place seemed fairly clean, we had to ask for things like soy sauce, and they didn't have salt(!??!) just a salt pepper mix. Wife hates pepper and loves salt, so half star deduction for that. would I come back? Perhaps, I do like a mean Loco Moco, in hindsight should've tried that one. so, not great, not terrible. Wow what a horrible experience. One person waiting for take out then just us. The restaurant was filthy not a single clean table to sit at. After asking to clean one they waited until after we got our food. On to the food ordered a smaller plate and it came with a scoop of rice and Mac salad. The hot meat was put on top of everything making my Mac salad hot. The next customer got their meal on nice plates while mine was stuffed in a small to go container. We haven't been for a while and probably not going back. Guess they are happy with making money off the high school kids that don't care about cleanliness. On the plus side, they try to get authentic food. A real place will have loco moco and one or more spam dishes, they have both. On the other side, the prices seem high and while the disposable containers are also authentic Hawaiian, it's not nesc the best thing to continue for an Oregon clientele. The teriyaki sauce was thin and had a bit of an odd flavor. I tried the orange chicken, teriyaki chicken and chicken katsu (on three separate visits) - I like the option to switch out lettuce and dressing ("salad") for the mac salad and white rice. These dishes were ok, but not my favorite. They looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for pickled ginger to go with the teriyaki chicken - which might be more of a japanese taste than hawaiian, but it really goes well. The wife had a hamburger with pineapple - while she thought it tasted ok, it was weird in that the outside of the burger was actually crispy. The fries are pretty good, even though they (nor anything else) comes with the burger. If you include rice and mac salad for other entrees at roughly the same price point, why not include fries with the burger? The daughter had a veggie sandwich - and wasn't sure if the veggies came out of a bag of frozen or not, either way, they did not taste very fresh. It's a hit or miss, I've had delicious warm meals and cold burnt meals. When it's good it's really good, and the service is always friendly so it's worth a try. The shop is tiny and cafeteria style seating it's best to grab-n-go. Definitely get the macaroni salad! read more

Honestly the best testing and best value Hawaiian BBQ place I've been to. Here in my home state of California, you either get great value and mediocre Hawaiian BBQ or good BBQ for insane prices. The Shoyu Chicken my girl ordered wasn't to my liking but the Kalbi Ribs I got were mouthwateringly delicious. For being 12.50 alone this place deserves 5 stars for something that would cost 16.50 back in Cali. Servings are huge and satisfying, you really do get your value here. Been to numerous so called Island food joints in the metro area. This place, Roxy's, is on point. Atmosphere: casual - like North Shore casual. Menu: good selection and flexible. Food: way, way above average. Staff: friendly, helpful, engaging, quick. Daughter lives in Hawaii, North Shore. Takes us to all the local plate lunch joints and shrimp trucks that dot the whole North Shore. Papa Ole's is legendary with locals for plate lunch and traditional fare. The food and vibe are phenomenal there. While Roxy's is not yet on that level, they do a great job of getting the flavors on point and tasty - like your at Papa Ole's on a lazy Saturday morning just before your paddle board ride. The menu offers the typical (and AWESOME) selection of Hawaiian BBQ-style meats along with the staple rice and mac salad. They have a few other dishes I'll have to try as well, like a seafood-based soup, and some others. The restaurant is clean and new, and the service is extremely friendly. I have only tried the shoyu chicken with mac and rice so far, and it was excellent- a heaping portion of shoyu chicken, 2 scoops of rice, and a scoop of mac- delicious! I'll try a few more dishes- can't wait to go back, and I encourage you to give it a try if you're passing through Canby.
