They have the best tacos! The homemade tortillas are the best I've ever had. And not too spendy for the quality. 10/10

Church of Smoke BBQ - Smoked Brisket Philly says hi

Church of Smoke BBQ

Stopped here with some friends to get some food while out on the Cascade Nursery Trail - we needed…read moresome sustenance to continue visiting the local nurseries & gardens. Two of us chose this place - and we weren't disappointed! I ordered the BBQ Crunch Wrap with brisket, cole slaw, crispy onions and something else I can't remember right now. It was super tasty and was just the right amount to fill me up. The smoky bang bang dipping sauce was wonderful and I wish I'd asked for more (next time I will!) because it was the perfect compliment to the brisket. My friend ordered the same thing but with the pulled pork; she said it was very good, too. Church of Smoke BBQ is located in the Canby Beer Library, one of 7 food trucks. Ordering was easy and the cashier was friendly and helpful. Street parking is available along with inside and outside eating areas (the outside area is covered and has overhead heaters for those chilly days). I'm looking forward to the next time I can try something else from their menu... as long as it has that smoky bang bang sauce!

We visited the Canby Beer Library the other night, so I decided to give Church of Smoke a try, and…read morewas very pleased with what I ordered -- and it came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I was tempted by a lot of different menu options, but ended up with the Smoked Brisket Philly. It came on a nicely toasted sourdough baguette; and was loaded with smoky & tender chunks of brisket, provolone cheese *and* cheese sauce, and jalapenos (menu says "banana peppers). Despite being on the messy side, the bun held together really well, and it was quite delicious -- definitely take the fork that they offer you when you pick up your food, LOL. The sandwich went great with the stout beer I ordered from the beer library. This is the best cart that I've tried at the CBL, and I would definitely order from them again!

Poundtown Smashburgers - My Dad's burger

Review: Legit Smashburgers and a Gem of an Atmosphere!…read moreRating: We had a fantastic Saturday night at Poundtown Smashburger! The cart is perfectly situated at the end of the pod near a cozy outdoor heater, which was exactly what we needed for a chilly January evening. As the wife of a "social media burger celebrity," I can confirm these are legit smashburgers. For those who don't know, a proper smashburger isn't just a flat patty; it's a ball of fresh beef smashed once onto a screaming-hot griddle to trigger the Maillard reaction. This creates those signature "lacey" crispy edges and a deep caramelized crust while locking all the juices in the center. Our order was spot on: Double Smash with Bacon and Jalapeño: Perfectly seasoned with that aggressive sear we look for. OG Burgers: At $4.00, these are an absolute steal in 2026. No customizations needed--they are perfect as-is. The Bun: A major standout! It was a soft, locally sourced brioche that held up beautifully to the juicy patties without getting soggy. Beyond the food, the atmosphere at The Beer Library is incredible. The renovation of the old library is stunning--it's modern and cozy with a fantastic selection of brews. It truly feels like a neighborhood gem. All in all, a great experience and great service --we will definitely be back!

It was a little messy to eat so we had to use a fork but thats OK because the flavor was outstanding. The real star of the show were the wild fries. They remained crispy despite an abundance of cheese sauce, sweet grilled onions, and Riz sauce. They were f-ing delicious!! Great spot and even better name!!

Great, friendly service and BBQ! Saw them here in the neighborhood at South Waterfront. Not a huge…read moremenu, but enough not to be overwhelmed with. I enjoyed the brisket sandwich and mac. Flavors were good and I couldn't complain. A little overpriced for the mac at $7, all sides are, but I don't own a food truck. I enjoyed the meal. Great improvement. Hope they give us some new items at some point to scarf down as well.

We hired Don the owner of Good News BBQ for a wedding on October 4th. I hate writing negative…read morereviews, but after another comment by someone that attended over the weekend, decided it was a must for future clients. My day of coordinator had tried to get in touch with Don the entire week leading up to the wedding, with no luck, until the night before the wedding. We actually had to come up with a backup plan in case we didn't hear from him by Friday evening. He said his phone was broke. He did make it to our event, although shorthanded by two people he said called out sick. We had to lend him one of the day of coordinators helpers to assist to serve the food. Throughout the entire event, he made comments to our guests/family as to why they were getting another plate already, why they wanted more food on their plate, and someone in front of me (I was the mother of the groom who paid for the entire venue) who wanted another slice of the meat was told "I still need to serve other people". The bride/groom asked for another plate and was questioned by our coordinator by Don why they needed more. Completely tacky. My sister came up to get my mom a plate who just had knee surgery and couldn't walk and was also questioned why she had two plates! Out of all the vendors including the venue itself (The Black Pearl on the Columbia, which I recommend highly) he was the most expensive. No one should have been asked why they were getting more food, especially after the first round thru! He offended one of the guests so badly by a very inappropriate comment she was in tears, her boyfriend asked that he come out and apologize, he never did and even mentioned it to the bride/groom which should have never been bothered with such nonsense on their wedding day. And...at the end of the night didn't remove his garbage as listed in the contract and stated it was an oversight (we had to do it ourselves) but another reviewer mentioned the same complaint. He will come back with an excuse for everything I stated above, which he did when I mentioned it to him as well, and I won't go back and forth with him anymore. Any vendor at your wedding event should be kind, professional and someone everyone talks abut at the end of the event, just not in way our guests did. Hire at your own risk.

We got their chicken t'sami and their lingcod fish n' chips, which went well with their sweet tea that we ordered. My boyfriend got the huckleberry sweet tea which had a sour and sweetness to it, and I got a regular sweet tea which had this really floral fragrance to it and the sweetness was just right. The fish n' chips were really good, the batter around the fish was golden and crispy, the fish was flaky and soft. So good that my boyfriend ate it while it was piping hot! The fries were perfect and crispy. The owner was so nice and brought out an aioli that tasted so good with the fries (reminded me of the animal sauce from In N' Out). The chicken t'sami was also really good, the chicken was juicy and crispy, and paired well with the pickles and slaw. The ciabatta bread was soft and everything felt so fresh. I would totally get the t'sami again. My boyfriend decided to order their clam chowder as well since that's what everyone else was raving about as well. The clam chowder did not disappoint. It was homey and perfect! We were so full and happy with our visit! They have come a long way, and we will definitely visit again
