Affordable, authentic, and delicious Vietnamese food and Boba on Mission Blvd in Pomona! I came to Boba Tea Zone/ Pho Saigon from a recommendation from a friend and I am so grateful! They may just become our favorite lunch spot yet. I wanted to try all of my favorites, and as a fellow foodie, I had to order lots of items to try, duh, but don't worry I shared with friends! I got their Shrimp Spring Roll $4.95, Popcorn Chicken $9.50, Special Combination Pho $14.95, Banh Mi Xa Xiu Pork Belly $9.95, Rose Green Tea $5.40 w/ Lychee Jelly, and a Rose Green Tea w/ Boba $5.40. All of the items were amazing and all what I expected - fresh ingredients/herbs, all with the flavors from sweet to spicy to rich and all of them exist in harmony! First, 2x spring rolls for $4.95? No way! But yes, I confirmed. Their rolls are also one of the best spring rolls I have enjoyed and gobbled up in a long time (don't tell my Vietnamese auntie). Their peanut sauce is also a great pairing and slightly on the sweeter side, which I loved. If you're coming with a group party, definitely share their popcorn chicken. It was a crowd pleaser and everyone got to take a bite. They gave us a whole plate, stacked to make a tower, with fresh fried basil leaves too. Thats how you do it! Their pho, just how I wanted it, served piping hot with lots of herbs. I loved it from my first sip! They gave me such a big portion I had to take most of it home, but that means I got to enjoy it a second time so I'm very happy. My friend and I both enjoyed their rose teas, and the rose flavor was definitely a kicker; I really got to taste it and smell it too. I can tell their kitchen is busy and everything is made to order, since they brought out all our dishes one by one - and all with a smile! Their service is warm and everyone who took our order to whom brought out our food were so friendly and sweet. This place is definitely random spot on the street and you will absolutely miss it when driving by! The parking lot is right to the side of the boba place. Upon coming in, there wasn't anyone inside except the cashier. The young gal in front took our order; I had ordered a milk tea with boba and eggrolls. My friend ordered their Mayo slushy and popcorn chicken. While we waited, there was kpop music playing in the background, near the area where they normally have karaoke. It took us about 20-25 minutes to get our food! The milk tea was not good. The boba was interesting, but wasn't as good as I'd like it to be. The slushy was sweet enough. As for the eggrolls and popcorn chicken, it was okay, as well. If I didn't have any other Asian food or boba options, I would come here. But for the price and the knowledge of other locations, I don't think I'd come back again. read more

Just moved across the street , nice spot inside , we got the popcorn chicken like how you can adjust the spice , they also have a good special two bobas get one free me and my two kids took advantage of that ! This place is the closest boba place near me, I've been coming here for years and it's changed a lot over the years, maybe new management?? But either way the boba is amazing, and super cheap unlike other places I've been to. I've never tried the food here, but the inside is super cute and cozy looking. Such a cute spot to get boba, the inside was nice and spacious with a pleasantly mellow vibe! The barista let me know beforehand what ingredients were out and I got my boba right away once I ordered. Love this place! It's close to my work so I'm here almost every other week for the popcorn chicken and mango smoothie w/boba. The chicken is DELISH, I get mild with the sweet chili sauce or ranch and and it's always good. At first I thought the price was a bit high ($9.50 at time of review) but you do get a good amount. The mango smoothie is always good as well, the boba is the perfect texture. However, I noticed that this place is now operating under a new name (Pho Saigon) when I came in today, 7/24/2023. They added a lot of food items to the menu, mainly pho. I'll have to come back for lunch when it's not so hot outside so I can try the food. I want to start off by saying the food smelled good and I did not try it. My review is only for the tea/boba. This was the first time I went into this boba shop and I did not like the milk tea nor Thai tea that I had ordered. The boba was also hard. When I spoke to the owner about not likingthe taste of the teas she kept asking what I didn't like about it. To which I reiterated that I didn't like the taste of the tea or the boba. She states she was a business and I couldn't get my money back or return it. She did end up giving me HALF my money back and I left the drinks there, but she was rude and did not want to give me a full refund stating "that's not what big companies do either", which is not true. I told her I understood it was a small business and that's why I went into asking what could be done. I think she was just offended I didn't like the taste and honestly the Thai tea tasted like cigarettes and the milk tea like something went bad. read more

Ordered food and waited almost an hour to get it. Someone who ordered after me got their order first? Only Jimmy was up front. I was going to refund my order but he offered me a free drink which helped the situation. He was super helpful, apologized for how long it was taking, and tried explaining what was going on. When the manager came out, they only tried to get me to try something else for next time and didn't even apologize for the wait. Will not be coming back. The food here is phenomenal! I also enjoy the variety of boba drinks here. However, I wish the service was better. I came here a few months ago wanting to have a good time with my friends but there were a few incidents that ruined our experience. The food took a really long time to be served, which I don't mind but when I've been waiting nearly an hour, it's a problem. It was almost as if they had forgotten about my meal entirely. Bad boba. I got baited by their buy one, get one free happy hour deal, but it only applies to their milk tea. I could already tell that their drinks weren't going to be that great, so I went a safer route and chose a slush. It's pretty hard to go wrong with slushies, but they somehow still managed to mess it up. I ordered a strawberry slush, but it was very watered down and the boba was overcooked. On the account of multiple people, the flavor tasted like unsweet watermelon, instead of strawberry. Ive been here a couple of times and the service is slow because there's only one worker or one cook. The workers were not wearing masks, but they have a plastic screen up on the register. Right now its take out only. They dont have the full menu up on the walls. So check online to see whats available. The special of the day was not honored, and communication was hard with masks on and loudness. But yes the drinks are okay, a bit too sweet for me, and the food ive tried was okay as well.
