I was pleasantly surprised when we went to breakfast one Sunday morning after church. We got a table right away even though the parking lot was full of cars. I ordered oatmeal. It was not freshly made. Our waitress was marginal. They were not busy however It took a VERY long time for our food to be served. The waitress did not address the long wait in anyway. I was very close to leaving before our food came. Ambiance? It's Bob Evens; no one goes there for the atmosphere. I'd probably give izero stars. Staff is friendly and food always comes out quickly with never any problems. Breakfast is good and served all day which is an added bonus. Lunch is very good too. Restaurant is always clean no issues there either. Definitely recommend coming here if you have the chance. read more

Ordered takeout breakfast yesterday morning: 3 meat omelette w/ loaded hash browns and banana nut bread. Arrived home and dug in. Absolutely amazing! Shredded hash browns were perfectly cooked with a great crisp loaded with cheese onion and sour cream. Omelette was still hot and melted in my mouth. It's Bob Evans, so I wasn't expecting much... and I was still disappointed. The table they sat us at (during Covid) was dirty. The iced tea was old and cloudy. Both my food and my dining companion's food was cold. When we asked to have it fixed they remade it, and microwaved it!! If I wanted to eat microwaved an eggs, I would have asked the for the cold food to be heated up instead of remade! The manager then came to the table and made no apologies for the cold food, or the microwaved food!! I can see why the reviews for this place are so terrible. *edit The manager did end up comping the whole check, which was not what I wanted. I would have happily paid for my drink. I also think managers think comping a meal makes everything better... I walked in to eat here because I was hungry during a cross country road trip. I left still hungry. read more

I went on a date with my s/o on a week day and it was around 7:30 pm when we got there. The place was pretty empty when we got there. We were greeted by the host and then seated like normal. The waiter on the other hand, was our big problem of the evening. We waited several minutes for him to take our drink order. And again, countless minutes went by before he took our order. He did say he was sorry for the delay. When we finally got our meal, I had order the Knife and Fork Country Fried Steak sandwich. I thought it was good and came out as I ordered. He only refilled our drinks once, after we had to ask. We had a extremely long delay with getting the dessert and the receipt afterward. It was ridiculous. We don't have a Bob Evan's near our home so we were excited to have one just across from our hotel this weekend. Our carry-out order included two containers of gravy. When we got it back to the hotel I realized there was only one container. I called right away to explain and to notify that I would be back to pick up the other container shortly (because I paid for two). The waitress and manager on the phone insisted we were wrong. Normally, I have no complaints with this Bob Evans, but tonight I do. I pre-ordered my Christmas meal a month ago to pick up around 6pm. I worked today and attended Mass so I knew I would pick up my order later. The woman behind the counter told me next time make sure my order is picked up earlier. Like I said, I knew it was going to be later. Normally it is that way with no mouth from the staff, but not tonight. WORST BREAKFAST: Over medium eggs were over easy and room temperature. Sausage was chard black on one side. Hash browns were soggy and tasted like the vegetable oil that oozed from underneath. Only the coffee and toast were eatable. But hey, I got all this for only $11. The food is good and normally get good service. But today we got Debbie with an attitude towards non regulars. She was very clear she did not want to serve us. We asked for water and she brought them out in the small juice cup. When we asked for a bigger glass she was not happy to comply. My wife just sat down and Debby wanted her order. We told we needed time and she stormed off. We will continue to come. But we will avoid Debby. My husband and I stopped going because our order was never done right and the server we seemed to always get never seemed to get better. However today my daughter and son n law took me for breakfast and I have to say what a 360! Kat (katrina) was an amazing server. Very attentive. And our breakfast was damn near flawless. I stopped in here while traveling, awaiting my next appointment. Devan was a knowledgeable,outstanding server. I'm not a Bob Evans patron: as my diet hardly consists of heart attack on plate. I chose the tomato soup, which Devan recommended. Meticulous in nature himself, he went through every bread, cheese, other toppings before I selected my half sandwich. Stopped in on our way home from a friends house. Food was as to be expected from Bob Evans, but the service was horrible! The waitress brought one round of drinks, and did everything she could to avoid our table afterwards. I had to stop her and ask for refills. She obliged, but it took 10 minutes. The restaurant wasn't even that busy. There were four of us at the table, and not a one of us had weird or complicated orders. I ordered breakfast using the website and chose the curbside service. I sat there for 10 minutes after my order was to be ready. Finally decided to go inside. The lady at the counter tried to charge me again after I paid online. Once we got that cleared up, she went to get my food. I watched the kitchen staff drop my toast then pick it up with bare hands and put it in a container. I have worked in food service in quite a few places even at a Bob Evans and we were always required to wear gloves when handling food. I will never eat at Bob Evans again. read more
