Their menu was just what we needed - a mix of salads, sandwiches and pizza alongside baked goods and coffee. We opted for the Greek Salad, Margherita pizza and a chicken pesto sandwich along with some coffee drinks. Oh, and I caved and picked up a Scotcheroo for nostalgia's sake ;) I really loved how nutritious the salad was - feta, quinoa, carrots, hummus, etc. All were great and it was a positive experience. We sat inside but they also have a great wrap around porch with lots of shade.

Easy parking, plenty of comfy seating inside and out. Superb service, kid-centric and friendly. Lots of options. Sweetie got a potato, K got mac and cheese, I got a pick two with bbq chicken sandwich and southwest chicken salad. K liked the mac. Sweetie liked the potato. I liked mine. Big fresh salad, lots of different flavors and textures. Tiny sandwich, but pretty good: good bread, good meat, good sauce. Oh, and great music (80s-90s hard alt rock, not something I expected at a healthyish place.) Definitely will check out McAlister's again in future.

It's divey and the boys can get a little rowdy, but no sooner than it heats up, it's handled in a cool way and things are back to normal. While in town for a project, I was out late and looking for something OPEN, for one, and I also wanted a place with GOOD FOOD. I read a review and decided on this place, but to be honest- there aren't many options on M/T. I walked in, and the Colts were playing on one TV above the bar. A friendly stranger made room for me to sit at the bar. I ordered something that they had just ran out of, but the bartender quickly offered me a similar suggestion. When my burger came out, I was pleasantly surprised- it was GOOD. I washed it down with 3/5 Metazoa beers they had on tap. What a cool beer selection. I definitely didn't feel like an out-of-towner here because everyone was so nice. P.s. come play pool, listen to LIVE MUSIC on the weekends, and/or sing karaoke sometimes too! the only reason not 5 stars is bc of the smoking- sooo much smoke

There were five waitstaff serving four occupied tables, in a good size room; that was my first clue…read morethat this may not be a great dining experience. Our waitress was cheerful as she extolled the history and reputation of this "authentic" Italian eatery. Menu was standard Italian fare, moderately priced, with lunch specials. After ordering, I waited for bread or breadsticks to appear; they never did. Lunch arrived, but no one offered fresh, or even old, Parmesan cheese. Again no bread. Servings were huge, the only positive thing I could say about the meal. Alfredo sauce on the pasta was totally tasteless, like wallpaper paste. Stromboli shell was not crispy, as it should be, and there was no sauce inside (not unusual), but there was excessive moisture from the vegetable filling, which made the crust soggy. Other than the staff, there was nothing appealing or memorable about this restaurant, and based upon my extensive experience and knowledge of Italian cuisine, there is little authentic about it.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. You would think sitting outside on Labor Day…read moreweekend would make for a nice lunch. Absolutely not. The fly and bee infested patio without any shade proved to be miserable. We brought our two daughter, who requires a highchair and were given a disgusting rag to clean the dirt, food and spiderwebs off the highchair ourselves. The waitress warned us it would be dirty but we were appalled that she expected us to clean it ourselves, with no offer to do anything about it. "I told you it was dirty" were her remarks. Got a gluten free bun for my burger and it crumbled just picking up the burger. All in all on what could be a huge money making weekend for restaurants, this was a HUGE disappointment and we will not be back. If you do go, drink a lot so you don't notice and please do not subject children to sitting in bug infested dirt.

If this was meant as a teaching moment, the approach needs work. -- Had a very similar experience as another recent reviewer. Our evening turned out like this. It was 5:30pm we entered the restaurant and stood patiently in the family dining area . No one came. We sent a scout to the bar upstairs. He came down and told us that we could bring the 8 year old up if we sat in the hallway but it seated 4. Our scout carried a chair upstairs for our 5th party. We waited another 8 min. No one came . After 10 min. We prepared to leave . A server said, " are you leaving?". Yes! And we left. This was a Friday night experience. The server was there by herself. She was intending to cook-serve and bar tend. I wish this place the best. It's adorable. Since I can't judge the food or really the service, my suggestion is to call ahead and see if they are staffed and ready.
