Above average food for the area, for sure. Clearly a lot of thought went into the menu. Loved the salad/sandwich combo and the homemade soup was great. Nice selection of beers on tap. Great atmosphere in the bar. Friendly staff. We went for dinner and karaoke two weeks in a row while I was in the area on vacation and I have to say it was the most stylish and fun karaoke I've ever been to. Tim May, who runs the karaoke on Thursday nights, sings lots of standards and classic rock tunes and made us feel very welcome to come up and do songs.

Stopped here on a whim on our way to Chicago from central Ohio. We try to make healthier choices and my wife is gluten free, so it isn't easy. This place was a complete surprise. The owner not only understood, but also uses locally sourced produce and wild caught salmon. He was great to talk with and our lunch was delicious. We would definitely come back if we were in this area.

I can sum this place up easily... Freaking Awesome! A small town surprise. Very quaint and delicious food. You need to try the enchiladas.

New ownership (and the allure of weekend brunch!) has encouraged me and my family to finally try…read morethe Ole Hitchin' Post. We first came in to see live music on a Friday night and tried the hand breaded fish and tenderloin. Both of these Hoosier staples are deep fried options and definitely hit the mark! After learning that they cure their own bacon and make their own sausage we knew we had to try the brunch. You may not expect much for brunch in the middle of Larwill, I can't say that I did, but I am so glad that didn't stop us from trying it. It's easily some of the best sausage gravy, if not the best, that I have ever had. This small, family business takes care and pride in the food they prepare and serve, and it shows. Absolutely thrilled to have them a part of the community. **they now accept debit cards**

We sat outside on a nice evening. Our server was so friendly and attentive. The menu had some items you don't find just anywhere. We had the Grinch Salad and BBQ Bacon Burger. Both were good and done to our requests. The owner/chef came out to talk with the guests. I asked about when the next live entertainment would be and she said this Saturday, a acoustic guitar player that plays 60's 70's and 80's music. This is a gem of a place.
