Service: waited at the door for awhile to be seated. When seated was sat at dirty table, with mashed potatoes, crowns, straws all on floor under table, seat also had something smeared on them. I grew up in Ohio and actually went to band camps at Rio Grande College, the home of Bob Evans. So I am a Bob Evans foodie from the get go. It's been going down hill for a while but I'm an Ohio native and will support them over and again. We usually do the carry out family meals so our orders are always $60-$90 if not more because we also have ordered the Thanksgiving cold meal as well. The last several orders have been just awful. There's always something missing, there's always something burnt, there's always something wrong every single time. It's hard to check the order before you leave because they have the bag stapled up like it's plastic surgery. I call and the manager is usually sympathetic although never saying sorry but offering up a $5 off oops card. Of course it can't be used for online carry out (which is all I've done since Covid) so I'm sure he's rolling his eyes and snickering when I leave. I now have 5 oops cards so that should tell you something. This last breakfast family meal was the last. I won't be calling, I won't complain, I'm just never going to return. It was a Memorial Day breakfast for our local veterans organization so the order was $90. I had 3 bags of food when I picked up all stapled shut with the standard 30 staples. I even asked is everything in there? The lady says yep. I had already asked for plates, silverware, salt, pepper, all the condiments necessary for the veterans to enjoy their meal. She brings me a bag full of what I thought was all the extras. I get to the veterans hall and start unpacking for the fellas and I was devastated. I almost cried. Even now it brings tears to my eyes because I failed these guys. I knew, I just knew I should have checked the order before I left but they were waiting on me, I didn't want to get them their breakfast late. You can see the attached picture of the burnt sausage patties. I order 8 over medium eggs, I got 7 fried hard eggs. They were fried so hard they were rubbery. I didn't get the gravy, I did have 12 biscuits, I ordered shredded hash browns but got cubed potatoes, the bacon was ok. I ordered 4 pieces of ham and I got 4 half pieces of ham. Who checked this order?? There wasn't any salt, no pepper, no plates, no silverware, no ketchup, no butter, no napkins, but by god I got 75 jellies. WTH? ‍ I won't be calling. I'm done...this was the last straw. I apologized to my veterans many times and being nice fellas they hugged me and said it was ok. But THIS WAS NOT OK. Shame on you Bob Evans....shame on you. So I stopped at this location at 7:30 and they close at 9 o'clock. There we're only a few people in the diner in the parking lot was basically empty. I've eaten at this location many times over the last 30 years, but it's only good about one out of four times... Seriously. Tonight I ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a small side salad with rolls. The soup came out uneditable it was so old and tired. They brought out another bowl from the same batch, even though I asked for a fresh batch if they had one. The salad was comprised of a few pieces of lettuce and almost all croutons which were rather stale. The rolls run edible. I should say that I've owned many companies over the years and have dealt with employees, managers, and have had the responsibility of always giving good customer service. Bob Evans needs a 100% overhaul at most all of its locations. There are a few locations that are rather dependable, but for the most Part... Not good. I'm embarrassed to say that I probably spend $2000 bucks a year at Bob Evans because I do pick food up for FIELD construction crews and down the east coast. Bob Evans... The service was good; staff was friendly and competent. The restaurant was clean and in decent repair. However, the food was greatly lacking. Sausage gravy was very thin and watery (this is the 3rd time ordered in the last year and it was watery every time). The Wildfire Chicken Salad contains less and less each time we've ordered it. There was probably 2-3 oz of chicken, about 1/8 cup of corn, a decent amount of cheese and fried onions and that was all. This used to be a nice salad. It just keeps getting worse! This is the 3rd I have gotten large orders to go through the website. It won't happen again! I was there right at the time they said to be in the email. The food was all cold and we didn't receive any napkins or plastic silverware.....none at all! I understand why they are losing business and getting ready to file bankruptcy. I wish they would bring back the old Bob Evans! The one you received value and great customer service, not small portions and service that doesn't care! We ordered the Farmhouse Feast. All the Grandkids were sick. Mom and Dad were sick. Grandpa ordered and heated it up per instructions which were included. Absolutely delicious!!!!!! We eat at Bob Evans while traveling a lot. We are camping nearby and decided to eat out since it was raining. We arrived about 6:45 and were greeted within a reasonable time. My husband asked for a table instead of a booth and was told "no, you will have to go to a booth". At the booth I again mentioned to the person that I won't be able to get out of the booth. She just looked at me and proceeded to place the menus on table and said to enjoy your meals. I am obviously handicapped. I use a cane and don't walk well. My double knee replacement isn't obvious however we were 4 good size adults. We knew the booths are so crammed together the 4 of us tall adults would not fit in the booths. There were plenty of tables with chairs within steps of where we were seated. We were so uncomfortable. The table was right on me and my brother in law on the opposite side of the table. My husband sat partially out in the isle because there was no room for me, my cane and purse plus him. And to top it off, before we even received our food a single person was seated at one of the many clean tables at the end of our row and had the exact same waitress. When it was time to leave my husband had to pull me out of the bench. There was no place to put my hands to push myself out. I was so embarrassed. It was so painful. The food however was absolutely delicious. Some of the best prepared Bob Evan's food we have had in a long time. We have been to 3 different ones in the last 2 weeks. The waitress was also very attentive and friendly. The restaurant was clean and everything we ordered was in stock. Sadly I will never return to this location. I always ask for a table and have never been turned down in a restaurant if there are empty tables. I feel if this location can't accommodate handicap individuals with a simple request they don't deserve my business. read more

We ordered curbside and on the way home noticed the smell of something burnt. We opened our fried chicken dinner to find it charred, actually black in spots, the carrots burned and dried, and the coleslaw was more like slaw soup. Called and spoke to the manager on duty and while polite, was told she was unable to refund our money and could only provide a future credit since the charge went through to which we stated did not want a future experience at BOBS. I don't know how anyone puts what we were given into containers for someone to eat. We disposed of both meals literally concerned about the safety of everything we were given. Check anything you get as take out here, I wish we had not assumed we were "friends being treated as family" unless the family serves their loved ones sub quality meals. My family (4 of us) walked in at 10am on Saturday. The girl seating us seemed clueless about what she was doing. She sat us at a 4 top table along the wall. 2 minutes after we were seated, a couple came in and they were seated behind us. We sat here for EXACTLY 11 minutes trying to make eye contact with staff to alert them that we were here. Finally, a server came over and acted like she was never told we were here, even though I made eye contact with her 3 different times. Our silverware was dirty so we had to ask for different ones. When our food came, the hot cakes were barely warm and no whipped cream as advertised. The sunshine skillet was half as large as it usually is. This was a disappointing visit to say the least. We usually eat at the Bob Evans on Leffels Lane, but quality there has disappeared over the past couple years. Also, I called before we left and there was a 30 minute wait on leffels lane compared to 10 minutes at Tuttle. The manager was extremely friendly to everyone, and was working his tail off to get everyone seated quickly. It worked. From arrival to drink order, it was 13 minutes. I thought this was awesome considering it was a busy Mother's Day brunch hour. Food was excellent, our server was competent and friendly, and we all had a great experience. So, we walk in and it is slow service. Our rude waitress takes our order and didn't even pay attention to anything we said. My grandson asked for no butter on his potato. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT???!!!! After about an hour, our waitress brings the food and it is cold and gross, and the potato had BUTTER ON IT. The GRILLED chicken was a greasy, bland MESS. So, the potato goes uneaten and the butter melts to reveal a disgusting black bug or piece of something INSIDE THE POTATO. WHY DID YOU SERVE US THAT???!!!!! DID YOU NOT SEE THAT THING???!!!!! So, we try to get the rude waitress and she gets a manager after waiting another 30 minutes to get her attention.
