After my last complaint I have reached out to Bob Evans Corp. Headquarters as requested, they have sent me a $15 gift card with a card "have dinner on us". Well, yesterday we decided to give them one more try, Sunday, March 8 around 5:30. Same location, unfortunately the same bad service, and even the food was bad this time, just a different waitress. My receipt has a number on the bottom, in case someone from Corp. reads these reviews: 348495166253. I do not go into detail this time, it was just unacceptable. Just one thing: when I order sweet iced tea, and she brings me unsweetened, and I get a "oh I thought...", then I usually say, no, you bring me sweet iced tea, I did not even say that, because it is a waste of time. They never make up for their mistakes, the cashier asked, like last time "how was it", we said like last time "not good", and the answer was like last time "oh, that's too bad". Not a word asking what was wrong. Just for reference: don't order the fish fry platter, menu says "flaky cod", I could not even cut the breading with my knife, that's how hard it was, and the fish inside was so small, I would guess the size of my thumb is larger. We were in town visiting family and decided to meet our granddaughter here for breakfast. We were greeted and seated immediately. It was clean in appearance, and seating was separated from the waiting area. As biscuits and gravy are a staple, my husband ordered the breakfast. It was ok. My granddaughter had the egg breakfast and it was good. I ordered the mini cinnamon biscuits. They were not even the slightest bit good. Service was spotty as there was a shift change. The food was fairly inexpensive, but that's about it. My table was dirty, and so was my silverware. The service was very fast- almost too fast- I felt rushed. They did not have yogurt or English Muffins available- must haves for a breakfast place, I think. The food was not prepared very well, either. Hashbrowns were burned, and the entire meal tasted as if it had not been salted or something- even the bacon was bland. Another patron said the same thing. Usually, Bob Evans in North Olmsted is very good, so let's hope this gets corrected before Bob Evans goes the way of Red Lobster. read more

Another good visit to BE! We sat at the bar so no wait. Chayce was our server. He was great, funny and generous. Farmhouse burger w/ side salad was a fine deal at 8$. Added coleslaw for just 1$. Bit liquidy for my taste. All else was good. Grilled cheese & salad was had by wife. Only single slice of cheese was disappointing. 90/10 ratio of bread to cheese. I took my daughters to Bob Evans . The quality of the food there has declined a lot over the years. I ordered an omelet and I'm not sure what they made it out of to be honest. It tasted and looked like it was made out of imitation ingredients especially the egg part of it. It didn't even taste like an omelet. And the pancakes and French toast my daughters ordered were 4 or maybe 5 out of a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being the worst. It was not with the money. Only the service with the waitress was good other than that everything else except the toast and biscuits did not pass the tests. They need to start serving quality and fresher ingredients. Bob evans used to be good. Clearly thats changed over the years. My sister and I stopped here to grab some early dinner and girll....I ordered some pretty simple things, the food quality is not that great. My grilled cheese sandwich had ONE SLICE of kraft cheese. I had a cesar side salad with gross brown lettuce at the bottom of the bowl. We ordered chicken tenders and fries for my nephew and the fries came out brown. It just wasn't a good time. I live across the street from the Bob Evans in Middleburg Heights and I'm about a mile and a quarter from the Bob Evans on Snow Road and I come all the way over here in North Olmsted to come to this one more often than the others. Today I had a server named Vicky, who is an humongously big asset to this restaurant. She's probably over 50, very attentive, nicely chatty, and knows everything about her menu her restaurant and the area it's in. I dined alone and Vicky took care of my every needs like I was her sister or BFF- she checked on me often. She made sure the meal was at a good temperature. She followed up do you want dessert? And definitely earned the large tip I left on a small Pick Two tab. The service is so so. The food was good but not 5 star worthy. I love how they have mason jars for cups! So trendy! My friend loved his burger but kept not getting his ranch he asked for twice. The waitress Britney was nice but not felt like she had a better place to be then here working. This place is family friendly and nice that they are alcohol free. I've never been a big fan of Bob Evans because of past experiences, but we came here today with family for brunch and I was pleasantly surprised. The environment was welcoming and clean. We had a table of 7 adults and one child. Our server was extremely attentive. Beverages were taken care of and she checked on us several times. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time and everybody's order was correct. I ordered the Rise and Shine breakfast with eggs over medium, sausage links, hash browns, and wheat toast. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The toast was great quality and tasted awesome. Sausage links were so-so, not much to taste there. And the hash browns had crispy edges but mostly undercooked in the middle of the pile, with no flavor at all (salt, pepper and ketchup helped a little). Also, someone else at our table got pancakes and I had to try a bite because I've read such great reviews about them, but was not overly impressed. They're super sweet and a bit mushy (even without butter/syrup). The fare is a little pricey for the quality and quantity, but service was excellent. This would not be my first choice to come back to, but I wouldn't mind visiting again with a group like today. read more

I stopped here for a quick take out. I wanted the meatloaf meal. The food came out fast. Which was good. But the cashier was not as good. As I tried to order. I wanted to make a modification. I wanted the greasy onion straw things they put in top left off. She said well that's how it's made. So I told her that if they come on the meatloaf I will ask you to remake the whole meal. I dont want them on the plate. She had a slight attitude. But. I don't care. I didn't want them. I don't care if that's how the meal is made. Modify the order. Either way. She modified it. We typically love BE for quick food, and breakfast all day and my boyfriend LOVES their salads. The Bobs here in North Olmsted is pretty good although the restroom floor was super sticky. Placed an order on the web which was easy. Got there 5 minutes early , and my food was waiting for me which was great. But the only reason I can't give them 5 starts was due to the fried chicken we ordered. Don't get me wrong it was hot and juicy , but the outside was dark brown. If this was deep fried, then someone needs to change the oil because it had a burnt taste and a taste of old oil. The mashed potatoes and chicken gravy was top notch , plus the corn was good. So we ordered takeout and we got the roast beef no the pot roast sandwich and the turkey bacon melts and a side of coleslaw and a side of macaroni and cheese and french fries. Both of the sandwiches were dripping butter the bread was soggy and literally squirted butter out when you bit into it. The fries were undercooked the macaroni and cheese had no cheese it was just macaroni and the coleslaw tasted like it was days old. When we walked in stood at the greeters stand. She walked out took a big family sat them instead of asking who was first. The manager Christine seen the look on my face and said she skipped you didn't she. I said yes, Christine corrected the greeter. After we were seated you could see they were very short handed, but as any good leader does Christine was our server and was helping her staff catch up. I was very pleased with my service. What's not to love about this place. Siren the food is probably all premixed but the service is super friendly , there's no waiting, and the food tastes good. The biggest asset is that I can order breakfast items a late carte.. so I get pancakes and turkey sausage for $4.31!! Plus I don't have too much food that I don't want. The bathroom was spotless. Last year the boyfriend and I went here for dinner. We ordered an appetizer and our dinner separately. They both came at the same time and my dinner was stone cold. Our waitress, when told, said, "Oh, sorry" and wandered off with no offer to replace it or try to get it re-heated. Cold mashed potatoes, yum! (NOT!) We did mention this to the person when we checked out and they apologized and took the appetizer off of our bill. We haven't been back since. Flash forward to a few days ago and the mom and I went. Better service and my dinner was hot at least, but our waitress (a different one thank the heavens) did not offer me a refill on my drink and she brought the check without seeing if we wanted anything else, which is one of my pet peeves along with asking me what I want to drink when my ass is not even in my seat nor have I had a chance to even read the f-ing menu. Normally I enjoy Bob Evans. However, this time we tried out this new location because we happen to be staying in the area. We got our food via doordash. My mother and I got salads but my sister and daughter got breakfast meals complete with eggs and bacon. Fast forward to roughly 5 or 6 hours later, and both my sister and daughter (who had the breakfast meals) are vomiting. Food poisoning. I've never had an issue at Bob Evans before so this was a surprise. They were sick alllll night and for most of the following day. Definitely will be avoiding this place in the future. read more

Stopped early in morning for breakfast. Only one other person there at the time. You would think I would have had excellent service but it was "ok" at best. I ordered the BE Fit Breakfast. Suppose to come with scrambled eggs and tomato slices. I got a small slice of tomato that was partially green and a wilted piece of lettuce. I have been going to this Bob Evans location for many years. It has been consistantly very good over the years. I recently had dinner there and noticed for the first time, a decline in overall quality. Portions were smaller. Common items were "out of stock". More desirable dining areas were closed due to under staffing. I wonder if this is the result of the recent selling of the Bob Evans restaurants and will be the norm. I am willing to try it one more time before I write off this restaurant. read more

I usually visit this Bob Evans on the weekend for breakfast. I always sit at the bar, so I never have to wait to be seated. The staff are friendly and attentive. Some of the customers are regulars and easy to start conversations with. Food is always good. I almost always order the home style breakfast. Great place! read more
