Especially when you wait 20 minutes to be served . Lol the sausage patty's were burnt not overdone but black . I tasted a bite of one thinking maybe it's ok it wasn't it was dry as sand . I'm we had ordered a side of sausage for my husband it was burnt also sent them all back and got links lol only burnt on one side ugh . I asked to speak to the manager and was informed he was in the kitchen cooking lol lol .Some people think anyone can cook he's the proof that's not true .oh I forgot because I didn't eat them . On Friday evening I went into Bob Evans to pick up a to-go order for my family. We placed the order around 7:10 and the estimated pick up time was for 7:39. I arrived to the restaurant around 7:30 and I observe 3 other individuals waiting on to-go orders. They informed me they were there for roughly 20 minutes and have not been greeted by any staff. I also was not greeted by staff when I arrived. One individual waiting on to-go food was a door dash driver and he left without picking up the order because of the amount of time he had been waiting. Also I could hear waitress state that they have had tables waiting on food for a very long time and some people have walked out prior to getting their food. I also observed a waitress running around upset, stating she has worked all day and she was tired. She had yelled into the kitchen asking of she was going to get paid her overtime. She also told her co-workers that they need to figure it out and she was gonna finish up her tables because she was ready to leave. Not wanting to help her co-workers. This experience was a horrible experience and we are unsure if we will be back. My overall wait time was around 30 minutes and there was no customer service or any sense of urgency for any workers to help customers or apologize for the long wait times. read more

Sarah the server was very nice and helpful and fast. The food was very flavorful. However if we can offer one suggestion, please chop the vegetables in the omelette better and cook them longer. We had large chunks of raw-ish vegetables and it was hard to eat with such big chunks. read more

Bob Evans, He was a decent guy, but his restaurant chain, has became less than good. It seems to be a management problem, their staff is pretty lame. I've seen dirty restrooms and questionable wait staff/cooks. I do not recommend them. read more

We ordered a peanut butter pie from the Kokomo store. This is actually one of my favorite pies that we order often! We got it home and the crust was completely stale, hard as a rock. We got it in late evening so by the time we were eating, it was after 9 pm and I figured they were probably closed. When I called the store to tell them the next day the manager that I spoke to was rude and acted as if I was lying. She said she did not have the authority to replace the pie. Obviously, this is not about the money. It is the principle of standing behind your product. The manager I spoke to refuse to acknowledge that it was possible that the crust was stale. We have had her before and she tries to hurry you up to order and when she asks how your meal is and walks away from you before you even get a chance to answer! She acts like she is so great! Had lunch at Bob's in Kokomo, IN today. Arrived at 1:50. Nice waitress took our order. Our drinks arrived in Styrofoam cups. Waitress said they were having trouble with the dishwasher. Really? The machine itself or the operator? She came back & said the dinner rolls looked bad. I asked if we could have biscuits instead. She said they looked not good either. So would we take banana bread. OK. Got 2 small pieces of semi stale banana bread. Took over 20 minutes to get 2 wildfire chicken salads. They were good, but if I had ordered biscuits & gravy, it sure would have been lousy on banana bread. Sorely disappointed at this location once again. read more

Just awful service. They don't even deserve even 1 star. Our food took about an hour to be served. One of our orders was incorrect. We asked both the manager and server what was the issue. They said our order went to the slow side of the kitchen. Not once did either one apologize for the long wait. The waiter only filled up our drinks when we got our food. I'm not sure what it is, but I seem to not be having very good luck in getting food that isn't overcooked or burnt in Kokomo. "Blackened" is the word I'd use to describe the sausage patties I received with my breakfast yesterday. Dry and tasteless were my hash browns, and the country gravy had been sitting in a warming vat for so long that it'd taken on a yellowish color and consistency I've never before seen. But since the flavor could easily be described simply as "salty," I guess it doesn't matter. My friend seemed to have better luck because nothing on his plate appeared to be burnt, and I think the cheese and potatoes in his meal must have disguised the disgusting country gravy. The biscuits were good - light, flakey and fresh. So I'll give them that. And our server was attentive and friendly. This seems to be the place to go on a Saturday morning, so maybe some of my complaints are due to the overall busyness of the restaurant, but I think consistency is important and people should be getting good food that isn't burnt whether there's one or one hundred patrons in an establishment. read more

Service was great upon arrival. However, once the food had been brought out the waitress didn't come back for quite a while. My order had not been prepared properly so I set it aside until she came back. I told her it wasn't correct, and she took it back to the kitchen. They just threw a little bacon on it, put it in the microwave and brought out the same plate. They could have at least offered a free dessert, took the drink price off the order, or something. What's not to love about Bob Evans?!? The food was consistent with other locations and the service was great. The server was nice enough to split our big party into separate checks. At the time they had a promotion to get a free kid's meal with the purchase of an adult entree, which was a great deal. My visit to Bob Evans today was very disappointing. First off I was ignored at the door upon arriving at 6:20pm next I was finally seated at the bar at 6:30pm while I was seated at the bar I witnessed various actions of business as usual but waiting patiently and observing these actions really made me think I was invisible. I had witnessed one patron clean of a spot for himself to eat I also witness a waitress engaged in a conversation with her partner or roommate for the whole time I was there. Mind you I was never greeted with welcome to Bob Evans nor properly seated. It reminded of a ship without a captain. I was very blown away I understand that customer service is starting to become a national past time in this city for whatever reason. Lastly at 6:50pm I quietly removed myself from the establishment because I felt it would have been wrong for me to think that if I would have asked for something to eat I would have been bothering their busy as usual. Food quality and customer service has definitely gone down hill the last couple of years. Went in a few weeks ago and my chicken sandwich was undercooked and the waitress and manager didn't really seem to care. Tonight, I got the same chicken sandwich and it was actually cooked completely. The waiter was friendly and attentive so that was an improvement from the last few visits. However, when we got there I noticed that there was a chicken pot pie sitting on the window under a warming lamp. It sat there the entire time we were there which was a little over an hour. The food took a little while to get here, but it was good. The waiters and waitresses are nice and they refill your coffee often, which is fine with me! Speaking of coffee, it's good! They bring actual milk with it too, and not just some creamer that is flavored and has a million grams of sugar. They give you a good amount of food that really fills you up. We were visiting Kokomo for a week, staying in a hotel. We ate out 1 meal a day... and 3 times that meal was at Bob Evans! The food was great... everything from burgers to pancakes. We had a variety of stuff over those 3 visits (we are a family of 7... we ate a lot) and it was all delicious. The service was mostly great. I have to say that if the waitress we had on our 2nd visit was the one we had one our 1st visit, we probably wouldn't have come back. Lucky for us, our first waitress was SO amazing that it made up for the rude waitress #2. Waiter #3 was nice too... but our first time there was just great. Some of the best service we have ever had at a restaurant. When we return to Kokomo, I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again... but I'll avoid waitress #2. read more
