    Banana Nut Bread Loaf

In town on business and stopped for dinner. Three egg omelet was perfect with fruit and banana nut bread. The BNB was amazing! Service was prompt and no problems. I read some of the reviews online, which were bad, so I decided to try it for myself. I'm totally glad I did. I will definitely be back when I'm back in the area. Great job Bob Evans!

We always try to support local Reataurants but sometimes you just need something familiar and for me that's biscuits and gravy. This place is super clean and the staff is awesome. One of the bus boys saw me wandering around the dining room with a stupid look on my face and told me where I could wash my hands. I got the usual and Jill got the special Honey Buttered Chicken Biscuit Breakdast. Neither disappointed. Plus, I'm this neck of the woods this is a local restaurant. Angie was our server and she couldn't have been any better. Manager is running a great place.

Quite possibly the worst burger I have ever had. The "Steakhouse" burger was over cooked to the point where there is more moisture in a grain of sand and the fries could break glass. Pretty pathetic.

We stopped at this bob Evans because we stopped at Marshall university. We came to this bob Evans kind of late around 9:30 pm. I was surprised that they were still open. The service was good for a late night meal. I ended up ordering a hot tea and the southwestern omelette. The omelette had cheese red and green peppers jalipeano peppers bacon and tomatoes. The chef forgot to put all of the toppings on my omelette. When my omelette came out it was just plain. The waitress had to go back and have to chef put the toppings on. Now because the toppings went on later. They were cold. The cheese wasn't melted. If I wasn't so hungry I prob would have complained. But I was so hungry! The waitress was very nice and she told me for a side I could get blueberry bread instead of biscuits. I thought that was nice. Overall. Bob Evans is a solid choice all the way around. We don't have them in NY. I would recommend stopping at this location of you are by Marshall university. Just make sure you have everything you ordered.

Once our table was ready, we were notified by the hostess and seated at a high top near the bar (bar seating it first come first serve at the bar). They also have low top tables for parties of 4 to 6. Despite being close to the bar, we were still able to talk easily and noise level was acceptable. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu and made some helpful suggestions that we used. We ordered a pickle fries appetizer with ranch dipping sauce with our drinks. These came out quickly and were still hot from the fryer but they were good and the homemade ranch was really good (our server advised they make all their sauces and dips in house). For our mains, we both ordered the original burger - a half pound burger on a bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles topped with ketchup, mustard and mayo. We also opted to pay an extra fifty cents to add cheese (American for me and provolone for her). We also opted to pay an extra fee to add sweet potato fries and onion rings to our meals as opposed to fresh cut chips. The burgers were a little slow getting out and drinks began to run dry. Once our burgers came out, they looked great but mine was a little salty and I could taste the salt over the other toppings in my first bite. After that the burger leveled out and we enjoyed our meal. My wife did not like the Maple Siracha dipping sauce that came with her sweet potato fries and after trying it, I was not impressed either. All in all, a good meal at a fair price. Good place for a casual date.

I ordered a burger with meat candy (bacon) which wasn't added to the burger. Our waiter promptly brought it out on a plate and it was black and tasted burnt. The burger had a very odd flavor that was not good at all. I'm typically not too picky but I left half of it on the plate. We first tried this place in June 2025 and fell in love with the food. However, it seems to have gone downhill every time we've returned. The service has always been less than desirable, but the food has made up for it until last night. Unfortunately money is too hard to come by these days, and I don't like giving it to places that don't seem to care enough about their product or customer service and satisfaction. This place ain't cheap either! We won't be back. Hopefully they'll figure out a way to turn it around sooner than later.

Maybe it's the absence of now former co-owner Dakota Maddox, but nothing seemed to work. When my wife and I arrived at noon to pickup our order, we were met by a medium sized group of fellow befuddled customers. Some had been there since 10am, when they were supposed to be picking up their holiday order. The story as it was told to me was the first set of customers arrived to a locked and dark restaurant. Upon being let in by a former employee, they found that no orders had been prepared, proteins weren't cooked, pies were not baked, and there was no master list of orders to be found. Despite all of this, even two hours in there was only one person trying to manage the operation and he didn't even work there. The owner had been "on his way" for the better part of an hour. After spending 1.5 hours trying to get a handle on the situation, our 'fella took everyone's phone number and said he would call when the orders were ready. So my wife and I left, presuming we'd be called back in an hour or so. When 3:30 came and went I tried to call their main number. It rang, went to voice mail, and then a recording told me the mailbox was full and promptly disconnected. At 5:30 my phone rang. It was the former employee - now identified as Luka - calling to say my order would be ready in 20 minutes. My wife and I headed back to town. When we arrived at 6:10 our order still wasn't ready. The owner, Chris, finally decided to make an appearance. He asked if we wanted a drink while we waited, then disappeared to the back again. At 6:30 (6.5 hours after the pickup time) we were finally given our food, minus several items that they either ran out of or didn't have at all. Luka said the owner would refund the items that were unavailable - a saintly gesture. Chris never reappeared, and didn't bother to offer an apology or an explanation. When we finally got the food home we found that the rolls were store bought King's Hawaiian with a small amount of garlic butter haphazardly smeared on top, bone dry turkey, lumpy mashed potatoes, and beef tenderloin that - even after cooked - smelled spoiled. I would say that these items were so sad they must have been seasoned by the tears of Chris' employees, but that would be wrong as tears contain some amount of salt. Standing in the chilly restaurant surrounded by burnt out lights, mostly empty liquor bottles, and a bathroom whose soap dispenser was nearly falling off the wall you get the sense that you're standing in a once great restaurant desperately passed its prime. It was the culinary equivalent of the most recent Mike Tyson bout.

It was early, like 5:30pm when we walked in and there weren't that many people eating yet. Lucky for us! We were sat right away. The decor is modern and hip (I swear I'm not that old). It had a great feel to it. We sat at a high top booth. The server (I think was Sean), was wonderful. He was full of information about the food and really seemed to know what was in everything. I ordered a burrito. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken burrito and I got a side of street corn potato salad. The burrito was to die for. I'm originally from California so I feel like I know my burritos. This was exceptional. It had a hot oil in it that made it spicy! SO good and I wish we had this place where I live. I had high expectations of the potato salad as I love both street corn and potato salad but was underwhelmed. It didn't have much flavor and was just blah. My friend just got a steak burrito (playing it safe for the run the next morning) but she said it was fabulous as well. If I ever return to the Huntington/Barboursville area, I will defiantly return and I'm sad that we left before 11am on Sunday because I really wanted to try the huevos rancheros. Do yourself a favor and come here. The Hot chicken burrito is where it's at.

It was good, but a bit messy (and hot when it first came out). At the end we ordered the Backyard Hay Stack (minus the nuts). That was really good as well and we devoured it. The ambience was good. Like I said the flavor is there though. Had the peddler red IPA and it was terrific. Also had a very tasty kale salad. If they get a nice soft but firm bottom to the pizza slices, this place would be a 5/5. Would we return, yes!
