We set for 45 minutes and never got waited on. Finally a drink 55 min. Order 40 min for food and it was cold. The saddest part is only 2 other ppl were in the whole Restaurant. The kicker though was .... I'm mad now... we ate 1 bite per plate. We went to leave they said you have to pay for your dinners. I sarcastically said... there is a 5$ tip for the waitress after we walked by the counter. Only because we are respectful and Tip because I also worked for tips 30 years ago. Shameful!! It is a very poor representation of Huntington WVA... that is across the Street from the Civic Center Arena that people come to and pay money to support our community. Never again. read more

Worst service I have had in my entire life. We were there for 1.5 hours waiting on food with only 4 tables of people in the restaurant. As soon as we walked in, our server looked absolutely peeved. My mother was then given a dirty napkin with her silverware. Then, the server brought my mother's food to the wrong table, took it back from the table, walked around with it, then brought it back cold. I ordered the pot roast dip sandwich with fries and green beans, then was brought the wrong order after an hour of waiting. We corrected the order, then about 15 minutes later I was brought the pot roast dip without gravy or green beans. My mother had to walk up to the counter and request the gravy. Another server brought it to us and put her finger in the gravy when she gave it to us. Then, when we were paying, the manager rang up the incorrect order along with our food, which made us overpay after tipping. The horrible service, long wait time, and terrible attitude of our server guarantees we will not be returning and we recommend future customers look anywhere but here to eat out. read more

We've used take out from this location on the way home from work for years. The time before this one was not good but I thought it a fluke. Today's order was inedible. We cheer for businesses in our town but this one needs lots of helpif it's going to stay open. read more

So I decided to order a Bob Evans Thanksgiving Day dinner. Your only choice was Turkey or Ham. I picked Turkey. The meal cost 16.04 itax included. It was the sorriest meal I ever had. Before leaving the restaurant I checked the order. Very very small portions. When I pointed it out to the staff member, I was told they use a special scoop to measure prrtion size, MY reply was get a better scoop. When I got home I found two tablespoons of green beans, Mac & Cheese and mashed potatoes, Two tablespoons of stuffing which was covered by a thin slice piece of turkey. Thinner then a card out of a deck of cards. How did they even cut it that thin, And the cranberry sauce was ONE TEASPOON SERVED IN A CONDIMENT Cup. And the slice of cherry pie seemed squished WITH NO FILLING??? I know this is hard to believe, I couldnt believe it!!! Im sure other people experienced the same awful meal. We hadn't been to Bob Evans in a couple years. Thought we would stop and have breakfast at the one in South Point Ohio. They were open, it was 7:30 ish. Went in and waited. People were there working but nobody ever bothered to even seat us. This restaurant used to be a great place to have breakfast, but over the years Bob Evans has really declined in service. Went there this morning for breakfast and tried the new biscuit/ bacon/egg sandwich and biscuit/sausage/egg sandwich with gravy and home fries. Very good tasting sandwiches and fries. The gravy was much better than the last time so the recipe must have changed. It tasted like it used to years ago. I am usually not a fan of the coffee but it, too, tasted delicious. Deb was our server. She has been there over 35 years and has served my wife and I many times. Her service is always great and she is very friendly to everyone. I highly recommend this particular Bob Evans for their tasty food and great service. read more

The food was really good! Otherwise this would be a horrible review if I based it on the staff and quality of service. There was no one in front of me when I entered and still it took 3 minutes to be seated. Then there was a 5 minute wait for the waitress even to approach and take our drink order. I was able to place my drink and entree order at that time To be honest this was after lunch and there wasn't very many customers. After a few minutes the waitress came back to the table and said they were out of corn. We changed the side from corn to green beans. At no time did the waitress come back to see if I needed any drink top off. When she came with the entree we asked for additional rolls. We waited for 5 more minutes and had to wave her down and ask again. It wouldn't have been bad if they had even had been somewhat busy. I stood up and saw 8-9 customers not tables, but customers in the half of the restaurant. The food was decent, but the service missed the mark. read more

Was lead to table that waitress had told greeter to seat us. It already had two menus on table when we sat down. Their was only a few people in restaurant. We sat down and waited and waited. Tried to get attention of people but nobody would look at us and it felt like we were invisible. Finally got up and left walking by people but nobody said a word. This use to be a good restaurant but sad to say no longer. Was told by family member that the same thing happened to them. I don't understand the bad reviews...it's Bob Evans, not a white glove restaurant. We came on a Saturday around 10am. We were greeted and seated promptly. Met our server, Allison, who was very nice and personable. Order was taken, food came which was very good (breakfast) and cofee/drink refills were quick to come. For breakfast, I would recommend this location, I can't vouch for other meals though. Hope you give it a try! read more

Poor service. Poor service. Poor service. Need I say it again? My family and I like Bob Evans mind you, but this one seems to not fit the norm. Slow service. Cold food. Not enough refills. Rolls never made it to the table until we were almost done. Soup was delivered as part of the meal, when ordered as a starter, and the waiter had to be reminded it was ordered! Chicken that is grilled or pressed and then too dry, and somewhat tough. This isn't the first time I've had bad service, just the first review. Hopefully someone in the chain will step in and fix the place. Used to be a good stop on the way home, but now I'm not even thinking that direction. read more

Bob Evans rocks! I haven't really ever had the opportunity to try Bob Evans except for one other time. I have to say that after going here for breakfast I am a convert to the Bob Evans way of thinking. The food tastes fresh and delicious, especially their sausage patties! I had some eggs and potatoes as well and everything was great! They have some good looking pies as well and I could probably make a meal just out of those! read more

Ate at the south point Ohio restaurant on Wednesday dec 18, ordered turkey dinner the turkey was cold and the carrots had an chemical taste. I told the waitress they had a problem with their steam tables. She stated she told the manager, if she did then the manager needs mire training on customer service because he never come to speak with me. I wont go back there again. read more

I went to Bob evens and I had the double blueberry pancakes with the blueberry syrup and it was outstanding I have also 8 and the beef with the mash for Thai is the carrots it was really good I think that's the part roast dinner it was outstanding I highly recommend it thank you. read more

I'm not sure what happened here. For a lot of years, this Bob Evans was great, but recently the train has run off the rails. Breakfast is still good, but the service is terrible. Everyone runs around like their hair is on fire, but they aren't accomplishing very much. If you come here expect to be a while, or be frustrated. read more

So originally when we got there it wasnt too bad, but once we got seated things began to barrel down hill. First of all, the server was very kind, but she was kind of forgetful. She commonly forgot who ordered what, and wpuld forget to bring certain things likes lemons for our water. Then when we ordered it didn't take too long for us to get our salads and bread, and there not really many ways to screw up either of those. But when our dinner came? Honey let me tell you. The scrambled eggs were so thin and tasteless and just all around disgusting. I felt like I was eating paper. Then the hash browns were raw but burnt on the outside, I couldn't even bring myself to take another bright even with salt, pepper, and ketchup. The French toast tasted like wet dog. Like the smell of wet dog was put into a taste and that was what the French toast tasted like. The pancakes were really good, but the sausage patties were burnt. The sausage links were okay. The grilled chicken was the absolute worst cut I have ever seen in my life, and it was tasteless! Then, when we ordered deseret, the cake came out cold! I had to send it back for it to be warmed up. The service was okay, and the waitress was very nice, but I will never go back. read more

The food is generally good. I go in to see my niece quite often here. I left $20 on the table for her the other day and she did not receive it. Claims that the manager took it (apparently not the first time) but is scared to say anything about it. If you tip here, do so on a card or make sure that the server gets the cash personally. read more
