7:30 on Friday night (9/29) was the worst experience ever because of the hostess. She didn't give her name. We were a party of 5 and wouldn't seat us for 20 minutes. Found out later that it was because she didn't want to clear a table. When she finally did, the table was sopping wet. It's not that busy and waited over 25 minutes to get a waitress to come over. They never did so we walked out. I asked for the manager & she apologized but that was it. I asked for the GM to call me the next day. They never did. People seated after us got their order taken & food served. We were stuck in a corner surrounded by dirty tables. We were there for Marshall University Family weekend. It was obvious that since we weren't locals, we weren't valued. DO NOT BOTHER. read more

We always try to support local Reataurants but sometimes you just need something familiar and for me that's biscuits and gravy. This place is super clean and the staff is awesome. One of the bus boys saw me wandering around the dining room with a stupid look on my face and told me where I could wash my hands. I got the usual and Jill got the special Honey Buttered Chicken Biscuit Breakdast. Neither disappointed. Plus, I'm this neck of the woods this is a local restaurant. Always has been a favorite for breakfast so perhaps a mistake to come for dinner. Not very busy as many servers as customers but stood ignored for 5 min to be seated. No water, no service for 10 minutes but lots of busy chatting and laughing from the staff behind the service counter. The biscuits were as good as I remembered but maybe their carryout business is more important now than their table business. Very disappointed. read more

The service was lackadaisical, which is slightly better than we normally get at Bob Evans. The potato soup was hot and ok. The new omelet with the avocado was barely edible. The sausage in it was burned up and crunchy. The avocado was not ripe and tasteless. The sauce was cold and unpleasant tasting. We tried the bread with blueberries in it and it was amazingly bland and pointless. There are just so few options locally on places to get this sort of menu choices that we periodically fall back on Bob Evans. Sadly, we consistently are disappointed and questioning our sanity to keep trying for a good one anymore. read more

Group traveling had made reservations w manager weeks in advance and when called on the day to confirm that we would be arriving in 30-40 minutes the person on the phone replied that they could not accommodate the group and that they never make reservations. I come here all the time. first the seat five people in a four seat booth so I asked for a bigger sitting and the server had the worst attitude! we sit down to order our food, get the food my sandwich was dry and the manager says the new cook left it in the microwave for to long and still served it to me! then I find a long black hair in my salad and the other meal the chicken was so dry! so it didn't get ate so we asked to take it off completely! the mangers acted like we was a bother when all we wanted was a good meal. the server and the managers went to the back and was talking crap to the rest of the workers! it's was the worst experience I've ever had here I'm pretty upset with the service! read more

Quite possibly the worst burger I have ever had. The "Steakhouse" burger was over cooked to the point where there is more moisture in a grain of sand and the fries could break glass. Pretty pathetic. read more

We stopped at this bob Evans because we stopped at Marshall university. We came to this bob Evans kind of late around 9:30 pm. I was surprised that they were still open. The service was good for a late night meal. I ended up ordering a hot tea and the southwestern omelette. The omelette had cheese red and green peppers jalipeano peppers bacon and tomatoes. The chef forgot to put all of the toppings on my omelette. When my omelette came out it was just plain. The waitress had to go back and have to chef put the toppings on. Now because the toppings went on later. They were cold. The cheese wasn't melted. If I wasn't so hungry I prob would have complained. But I was so hungry! The waitress was very nice and she told me for a side I could get blueberry bread instead of biscuits. I thought that was nice. Overall. Bob Evans is a solid choice all the way around. We don't have them in NY. I would recommend stopping at this location of you are by Marshall university. Just make sure you have everything you ordered. read more

Our order was for delivery and we have no issue with the delivery driver or condition of the package as delivered. The preparation is another story. Our order was missing a few things, instructions were ignored and the overall quality of the food was quite poor. We used to enjoy this restaurant but things have definitely declined. We will not be ordering or visiting this restaurant in the future. read more

The restaurant service was fantastic there were always someone there to help . The rise and shine burger was quite good ,it was a very well balanced burger that was the best burger I have a had in a while. The fries were very nice ,the ideal fry I would say they were crunchy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside.Overall it was very good and the price was amazing for the food it was very worth it .I would happily come again ,without a doubt in my mind. read more

Bob evans is an old stand by for us but today we walked out. The smell was old grease and soured mops. The floors were dirty. We were seated at a table that was wet and dirty. We got up to find another table and the surrounding tables were grimy. As we left, a waiter offered to clean the table. No thank you. This wasn't just a bad day. Worst Bob Evans ever. Waited 40 minutes for our breakfast and some of it still came out cold. I had a direct view of the kitchen and it can only be described as chaos. Our server tried her best but she could not make up for the terrible kitchen. Food ordered after ours was served before we ever got our cold eggs. We walked in to about 6 employees just wandering around but it took at least 5 minutes for someone to simply greet us. They then put us on a waiting list because they needed to "clean a table" when we only had 4 and a baby yet half the restaurant was empty. We then waited 10-15 minutes and when someone else asked us if we had been helped we told them a man was cleaning a table for us. She said he was no where to be seen and then she walked off, I'm assuming to find him? So we just decided to leave. Terrible customer service & communication. Terrible service, loud and obnoxious staff, as well as awful food. My father said his meal wasn't awful so that warrants two stars. The wait was long, and the staff complained of being "very busy" while arguing amongst each other. Also the building is kept at a cool -500 degrees Fahrenheit. Now items once made on site are not, biscuits so so and if you dare get them before a meal expect a charge. Coleslaw for all came out as slushy soup, that went back and only because of the other waitress noticed our disgusted faces that it even made it to the table. Today my aunt and cousin ate there and paid their bill and left. The manager chased them down and announced to all in the parking lot that they hadn't paid their bill. They owed four cents! My cousin gave the manager $1 and said she hoped that other senior citizens would not be chased through the parking lot for 4 cents. Ridiculous!
