The service sucked, we get seated at our table and we had to wait 15 minutes before someone came to get our drink order. It took close to an hour for our food to come out to us. The entire time we had a different person waiting on us. The whole restaurant probably only had 10% of the tables filled, yet the crackhead seating people would tell them that there is a 15 minute wait. If your not in hurry to eat and like bad service then this is the place for you. Otherwise I recommend the Bojangles right down the road. read more

Even though the restaurant was at 15-20% capacity, it took 15 minutes to get seated. Then we waited 35 minutes for a waiter to come help us but they never did. Three waitresses circled around us but never acknowledged us, we didn't even get water. So we ended up leaving after 50 minutes without eating. read more

I have a few issues with my order that I obtained today from this restaurant. 1. I showed up early for my order! Called the number and no one answered. Even though I selected curbside pick up. 2. I had to then come inside and get my food. Which I didn't mind doing. I had a mask so no issue. But when I walk in there are two people right by the phone and standing there talking not assisting any customers and my order is just sitting on the counter. Order pickup time was 11:05 and I got there at 10:56. Food was still only warm at this Point. 3. It's been years since I've went to a Bob Evans and I see why as my wife reminded me once the disappointment set in. The food had no taste was halfway cold. The potato's were only half way done. The sausage tasted funny and the egg was not scrambled it was sunny side which we didn't ask for. 4. I only live 9 mins from this section of town So my food shouldn't be warm almost Cold when I get home. If I ask for something scrambled clearly I don't like sunny side eggs and if you are low on potatoes just call and say so don't give me 7 potatoes and tell me that's a side and 5 of the 7 are uncooked. Lastly: Clearly Bob Evans won't miss my business I'm not even a penny jn their bucket but I mean damn don't take advantage of the fact we are in quarantine and make terrible food and bank on people not knowing until they get home. I'm sure the people in store have a different experience. read more

I really use to enjoy ordering carry out here, but my last 3 visits have been very disappointing. Each visit, I have got home to discover that something was missing. Even after telling the manager about my previous experience, and being promised my order would be right, I got home to discover food was missing yet AGAIN! I will be taking my business else where and do not recommend spending your money here. read more

The service was a little on the slow side, The tea didn't seem to be fresh brewed or at least not from a clean dispenser. Finally, the portion of protein was rather small while the carbs and starch were more than enough. Worthy of an average rating. First Bob Evans I've been to in several years. The noticeable change was disappointing. read more

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star it's a Monday, and I've waited over 2 HOURS to be sat & order my food this is ridiculous. The service is terrible. Something needs to be done ! read more

Good place for a quick bacon & egg breakfast -- I've eaten here many times and have never gone wrong. One thing I don't like is how about a year ago they stopped offering toast options and instead substituted your choice of buttermilk biscuits or banana bread. read more

Slow service the coffee was cold the food deliver late I'm not recommend if you want breakfast quick !

Food was great, when we got it. Exceptionally slow service with a restaurant barely 1/4 full. Not the worst.. but quite underwhelming in terms of service. The staff did not seem to be engaged and didn't seem to have a lot of customer service skill. The food was great though. read more

Bob Evans - American Near Me - Durham, North Carolina

Not very well managed location. It was not very busy but it took two calls and an hour to get my food for curbside pickup. It wasn't very good when I did get and of course cold. The manager said they were understaffed and had just gotten to my order. Since all the food was cold and the server said they didn't know I was there , I'm pretty sure the manager was blowing smoke. Will not go to that location again read more

Bob Evan's used to be an Amazing place for breakfast. Great food for a great price. This place has really gone down hill. The new owners believe in low quality and small quantity to save a buck. The servers seemed more interested in to go orders than customers who were dining in. I witnessed four servers fussing over two To ago Orders and this after I had waited 35 minutes for my meal which still hadn't arrived. When it did arrive it was lukewarm. The portions has gotten small and the prices have gone way up. I ordered a Farmer's Choice with pancakes and everything was tasteless even the pancakes. The coffee was watered down. Our server came over to refill coffee and drop off the check. My Farmers choice with coffee came to $15.74. My meal was not worth that. Save your money and go to McDonalds. read more

Go there about once a week always had a table within five mins of arriving wid range of food cooked there with plates for small eaters staff very courteous and nothing seems a problem I'm a wheelchair user and there's plenty of space to move around and good parking outside read more

The food here is great! I loved the brioche French toast, I think it's the best French toast I've ever had which is so surprising! $4.99 French toast compared to $15.00 French toast at a pricey brunch restaurant. The service is very good and friendly as well. Our drinks were kept filled and the food came fast, all with a pleasant attitude and smile. Keep in mind this is a Denny's style restaurant so it's not glamorous by any means but it is clean and the food is great. Definitely nicer than Denny's, ihop, or other chain breakfast places. Bob Evans never disappoints! read more

It had been many years since I'd been to a Bob Evans restaurant, remembering so-so breakfasts in Florida back in the '80's and '90's. A friend recently recommended their soups, which we tried and liked very much; then, we needed carry-out for a sick relative while visiting in KY and a Bob Evans was nearby. The aromas en-route to deliver the meals were amazing; so, yesterday, we tried our hometown Bob Evans for the pot roast, which was the delivered meal. This was the best pot roast we've ever had....everything in the dish was wonderful! Haven't tried other dishes; but, based on this test, the place rocks! Gotta try other items, and since they're frequently at interstate exits, I predict we've found a meal-on-the-road favorite! read more

Bob Evans - American Near Me - Durham, North Carolina

This was a nice spot to go to three years ago but since then this place took a nose dive in the wrong direction. I went with the fam and it was not the great experience I'm used to here. The server was nice but the food was a mess. Presentation was a zero for me. The food looked like it was just dumped on the plate. The french toast was served to as just that, just the toast. No syrup no strawberries that we specifically asked for. I had to remind the server just to get the grits I ordered and when I did receive them they were bland and need a hole lot of seasoning. I really like Bob Evans and I hope this is a one time thing. read more

It was great to find a family down home cookin type place so close to home! I don't much like the location, just because of the awkward one-way-up-to-a-certain-point road thats separate from the main road but still right in front of the restaurant, which only turns one way and other such similar nuisances. This place has become our go-to since the nearest WH is too far away. I would love to have a lifetime supply of their fresh cinnamon streusel bread.. it's HEAVENLY! I've tried something different every time I've dined in, and have yet to be disappointed. Bravo! Lose a star for the awkward location, and only one of their servers seems to know how to wait tables, so good for her, but train some people, for pete's sake lol read more

Pros: Breakfast items are really good, kid-friendly, reasonably priced, service is quick, food is pretty good not well seasoned though at time ( spaghetti is bland). Cons: Waiter did not come back to our table a lot, although they go for a down-home feel it actually looks quite old and dingy and the bathrooms need some serious work. Overall: Pretty good but the food needs a little more spice and flavor. read more

The food here is good and the staff is usually nice and attentive. If I had one thing not to my liking is for some reason parents let their kids run wild and soon it feels like a free for all. It's like when one dog in the neighborhood starts howling and the rest of the dogs have to join in. It quickly became a circus in there on this visit with one family and their little offspring leading the charge With every shriek our stomachs jumped more and digestion was not happening with ease. My heart went out to the wait staff who had to attend to them. It was not a happy time for anyone who just wanted a peaceful meal. read more

We eat there maybe once a week for breakfast or maybe desert and coffee (yes, bad idea). The place is clean, service is friendly, menu reasonably varied. I like that they don't get flustered when I order eggs and meat ONLY for breakfast. I also like that they have at least one fruit pie; so many places in the south only have unhealthy deserts :). Price is not too bad for the meals. It works for us. read more

Never been here before or in North Carolina or even SOUTH for that matter. Came here and was blown away. Best breakfast spot I've ever been too. If I were to own a chain of restaurants it would be this place. The front bar where you lay and they offer snacks and candy and food to go is genius. Best multigrain blueberry pancakes I've ever had. Service was profound. Their skillets are A 1. If you want the breakfast of your life please o here. ALSO the best PRICED breakfast ever???? Extremely Affordable. Twenty years old and I can't believe I've never had the chance to eat at Bob Evans I love u read more

Bob Evans - 4 Multigrain pancakes for $4.99 +1 dollar for blueberry toppings which you can ask for more. Amazing - American Near Me - Durham, North Carolina

So.... What about Bob? Bob Evans Restaurant got started by serving breakfast in Ohio and has grown to 600 restaurants in 18 states mostly on the East coast and the Midwest. They serve all the usual breakfast items plus salads, burgers, soups, meatloaf, sandwiches and regular Southern favorites. But the real start of Bob Evans is breakfast. And on this visit I ordered the Classic Breakfast which is two eggs cooked-to-order, with your choice of two hotcakes, one slice of French toast or two biscuits. Served with sausage or bacon. I also got orange juice and coffee. The service was just as good as I expected it to be. Since it is located next to an Outback Steakhouse there will be plenty of parking. Keep in mind this place will be jam packed on the weekends. Food B Staff B Decor C Location B Health Inspection Grade 96.5 read more

I do not understand the appeal. The food was mediocre at best. The service was terrible from the waitress and management. The cashier was the most pleasant person we encountered. The hash browns were soft and tasted like oil. The home fries were bland and not done. The turkey sausage was okay. The eggs were not scrambled and they just toss a nominal amount of cheese on top. The lemonade taste like lemon concentrate with water added. The waitress had to ask management to remove it from our ticket because apparently they aren't allowed to do so. Also my nephew wanted pancakes but got french toast, we asked to get it corrected but once again had to ask the manager so we just said forget and ordered the pancakes and paid for both. The chicken noodle soup was not that good. The pancakes were good and the peach tea was okay. The french toast was edible but maybe a step above the frozen kind. I will not be back here to try dinner, Bob Evans was not a winner, I will not try the other one either, I'm sure I won't like neither, I will not try it Sam I Am! Not impressed with the food or service. Everything was just so slow. For ambiance think Crackle Barrel meets IHOP. Way too many great places in the triangle area to come here again including my own kitchen. In my Randy Jackson voice...... it's a no for me dawg. read more

My husband and I have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed the experience. We ate there a few days ago and won't go back anytime soon. Several servers wore their masks under their noses and chin and walked out of the kitchen with the masks down. The pancakes were stuck together as if they'd been microwaved. The coffee was terrible and we didn't get a refill until we were almost done. Our server wore her mask however I saw others picking up food and fixing drinks with theirs under their noses. My omelet also tasted microwaved. Disappointing from a previously place with a decent breakfast read more

Worst food I've eaten all year. So I tell my friends let's go here never eaten from here none of us had oh boy messed up. We three order the same thing fryed cod French fries mac and chesse one with green beans. So fish comes out all three burnt they us some much batter that they cook the fish right out the middle and what is in there you can't chew it, green beans straight out of a can it's green beans for Christ sake. So as we are asking for a manager so is another table. Manger very nice she did her job very professional sweet lady but it wasn't her fault the kitchen sucks. That's how they are told to cook the fish even though Cod doesn't take long. They use so much batter that it cooks fish to long but a least I wasn't worried about salmonella from that heavy batter. 11.99 She comp all the meals and then proceeded to give us gift cards to come back. Well the French fries were good. Got pics site will not load them??? read more

Went for breakfast as it was firstly place we saw. Kind of a sad place. Food was ok, but atmosphere was gloomy. I guess they sell pies and stuff to go too, but it seemed this took up a lot of space. Are you a restaurant first? I don't know. Anyway food was ok but staff not real friendly. read more

The waiter was very nice and welcoming, sadly the food wasn't good at all. I ordered a country fried steak and eggs. The steak was ok, and the eggs not seasoned at all. My partner got a eggs Benedict and the egg was over cooked instead of being poached, and the biscuit was raw and the Hollandaise sauce was broken. The French toast had NO flavor. But the worst part was the grits. They were awful the cheese was half melted on top and they were undercooked. I do not recommend this chain to anyone who is looking for a nice breakfast. read more

We like to get takeouts from here and go eat at Duke Gardens. It's been at least 6 months and they still don't have their buttered sweet corn. It's still on their online menu but when you go there to place your order you are told they don't have it. We just walk out and go someplace else to get a takeout. They need to either remove it from your online menu or bring it back (or maybe we should call first). Who doesn't offer corn as a side???? read more

Not sure why this gets low stars. For breakfast...it rocks! I mean you can't beat this for comfort food in a diner setting. What took it over the top??? The full pot of coffee they drop on your plate even if dining alone! Plus they have some amazing food that is good for calorie counters. This is def a notch above Denny's. One of better redeeming qualities I like about NC is Bob himself! Feels like country cooking. read more

After the low rating seen on this site I was hesitant to go here. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. We had a friendly, helpful waitress who was prompt with our order and any additional requests. The food was fresh, hot if appropriate and tasty. We started with a bread basket and all of the selections were delicious. Then we had cinnamon chip pancakes, kids Mac n cheese and a peach salad for our group and everything was perfect. I had the salad and the peaches were fresh, and the chicken hot and good texture. I would highly recommend this restaurant!! read more

No eggs to order available at 11:30AM this morning??? Really??? This was just the beginning of a myriad of problems for my party of 5 in a restaurant that was at most, a quarter full of guests. There were no fork sets and an empty ketchup bottle at our table, drink orders were tardy, it took 3 requests to receive mustard. One sandwich order arrived with no cheese and it took 10 minutes to get it back. My broccoli cheddar soup arrived lukewarm and my half grilled cheese sandwich had separated and slid across the plate. Ugh.... sad. read more

Defiantly agree this place is awful. We went one evening and the food was cold and nasty. I couldn't eat it. Our waitress could care less. She barely even came to the table. We should have ran when we saw there was only two other families in there. Be warned! read more

I'm writing this the day after visiting because I did't want to be too slanted. So my wife and I dropped by with a couple of friends after church yesterday and experienced a twenty minute wait. The only problem with that was that there were at least 7 empty, clean tables visible from the waiting area. I can understand having a short wait in that situation, but 20 minutes? The food is okay, but when you have to wait that long you sort of expect perfection, and it was far from perfect. read more
