This place has a relaxed vibe, friendly and attentive costumer service and always great food! We come here often and never have to wait to get seated. We are greeted, seated and after ordering, served fairly quick. Sadly the spice level used to be nicely spicy but now its just ok and thy have limited parking, so def carpool. We've been loyal customers of this restaurant since they first opened, which makes today's experience especially disappointing. The shrimp we ordered today was completely uneatable, so soft and soggy that it just melted in the mouth, and tasted unfresh. Concerned, we called the restaurant to let them know. Instead of trying to understand the issue, the guy who answered was extremely rude and immediately blamed us, saying we picked up the order late. This was not true. We placed the order by phone and picked it up within 10 minutes, and he didn't even know which order was ours before making that accusation. We're not the type to complain lightly, especially about a place we've supported for a long time. But poor food quality combined with dismissive and rude customer service is unacceptable. We hope management takes this seriously, because this experience is far below the standard we've come to expect. read more

So one day I was craving seafood and happened to come across the Boat house Believe me when I say this place is underrated the food is good and the price is great. The fried fish was ok but the seafood boil was great. The best Viet cajun in town and solid seafood quality. We usually get shrimp, mussels, clams, sausage, corn, and potatoes. Sauce is generous and garlicky. Fries and fried rice are delish too. Vibe inside is nautical and pretty spacious and clean. Wait staff are attentive and great especially if you have a large party. Some of the customers though are so embarrassing and have no shame. I've seen people let their kids run wild, cause a huge mess, yell at the staff for items they lost and left behind, insult staff because there was a long wait, and either not tip or leave coins as gratuity for a huge seafood bill. The food here is pretty good and especially for the price as relative to comparable places, but the parking lot is really small and hard to get in and out of. The servers are nice enough. The few times we have been here it is not too loud, maybe average. They are worth a try. You can try to park legally on valley if space is available and this is probably the preferred option. You are not supposed to, but if just getting take out like we usually do, then you could try to park next door at the Hat if u r not going to take too long. There's about 6-8 parking spots in front of this restaurant, but it's difficult and awkward to get out of. The menu is hard to read because of the design of the background they used. They give you a plastic bib and disposable plates to make the clean up process easier and you can protect your clothes. Shrimp (1 lb) House Special: I got medium spicy and it was perfect. I normally get mild at Boiling Crab so this was about the same level. This was really good and all the shrimps were covered in sauce. Cajun Fries: Good stuff but I wish it had more seasoning. Got recommended to go here instead of our regular place due to the hours of wait on the other one. Was surprised of how good the food is. Our favorite is the house special sauce but if you cannot eat spicy, the only option is the garlic butter. Everything was really good and fresh. Parking is available on the side and in front. The rice is per plate which was a lot in my opinion so we divided it between 2 people. We got calamari and fries, as well as the soft shell crab which was really good too. Inside was clean and busy. I never been here before until my friend recommended me this place after that boiling crab wait. We sat down around 5:30pm on a Monday after christmas. -- Food -- My table got their shrimp, clams, crawfish, cajun fries, and white rice. For all seafood, I got their house special mild. Their house special sauce is REALLY similar if not the same as the shabang sauce at boiling crab so that's a big thing. Their shrimp was pretty good, didn't taste overcooked and was nice and tender. Their clams were amazing to eat especially if you added a piece of garlic on top and eat it whole (without the shell of course). We had frozen crawfish and it wasn't too bad. Their corn was pretty much overcooked and was super super soft which I was okay with but not preferred. Their sausage wasn't thick and was just thin slices. Their cajun fries were nothing special, pretty much longer mcdonalds fries with seasoning. The rice was honestly a little under cooked and wish it was a bit more fluffy. -- Service -- My friends and I were seated down immediately as we went in. The server was super nice and patient with our table so brownie points to the server! We were given anything quickly and fast if we asked for it such as napkins, gloves (this is a big one!), spoons, forks, new plates. Overall, my experience here has been pretty much the same at boiling crab, if not better. I think some things boiling crab has a choke hold on me for such as their fries but other than that, their sauces and seafood are the same in taste. On top of their flavors being the same, the prices are cheaper than boiling crab by a bit. So if I can get lower wait times, same quality seafood, AND it being cheaper, I'm definitely just going here instead. -- Tip -- If you mix lemon in the house special sauce, it makes a spicy yet sweet sauce that makes dipping your seafood INCREDIBLE. There's always music playing or sports on the TVs Parking is limited. The seafood boil is so good and the prices are much more affordable than their competitors. They also sell diff beers. The cajun fries were nothing special, but made a good side to balance my palate. * Service * When I called to check for current wait times, someone picked up the phone immediately, which was great. Our waitress took our order quickly and answered any questions we had. The owner brought out the food for us, and helped to grab us any additional napkins, gloves, lemons, and utensils that we needed. He also helped to clear our tables when things got messy. The inside and outside of the establishment is aesthetically pleasing. It feels like I'm on an actual boat from the decor. Parking available right outside. We ordered peeled shrimps and it was definitely the right idea. Saved us so much time not having to peel. The flavor was good, wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had though. King crab legs barely had meat. We ordered a dozen oysters and two different staff members were about to take it away when there was still 2 pieces left. Why would I pay for oysters and not eat them? We came for lunch and it was great. The staff members were really friendly. There's a parking lot but it's a little small and the spaces can be tight. But since we were early we had no problem with parking. We got a pound of shrimp, crawfish, and lobster tails. The garlic butter and house special sauces were delicious. I love garlic and it was quite plentiful. Also the crawfish were huge. I was not expecting the jumbo size but was pleased nonetheless. Decent joint for some canjun seafood. I got the fresh crawfish with their house sauce, fish and chips, and a side of rice with cajun sauce. I like how they give you an option between frozen and fresh crawfish, some places don't have that. I do wish that they had that for shrimp though, they only have frozen shrimp. The crawfish was fresh and the sauce was good, definitely better than the likes of boiling crab. One thing I dont like is that their cajun sauce is so spicy. The sauce itself is really good but becomes intolerable to eat because of the spice. Definitely will be back here to try other dishes. read more
