On 7/1/ 26, I ordered 4 slices, one with Spinach. Please, Google Spinach Pizza to see what it looks like cause mine arrived with a just a bunch of what looked like a frozen quality, tasteless spinach stacked up on top of the Pizza! Just sitting on top, no cheese melted on at all! Not like anything I've ever seen in my life! I called, and the owner, who was sarcastic, condescending, mean and preceded to tell me that his Pizza is made like how HE likes it, NOT made with whole leaf spinach that's melted into the cheese! I hung on him, as his entire attitude was terrible for a business person and he was of no help! He actually texted me to tell me that i'm BANNED from getting delivery . I will no longer set foot in that place! The food quality has gotten poor over the years anyway, while prices are high. I paid $30.00 for FOUR slices of pizza that was very thin with very, very little cheese! I scraped off the PILE of spinach, added my own cheese and broiled, it was s little better. Never, ever again! I went twice. Both times had dirty, empty tables throughout. The pizza was not as good as some of the frozen pizza you can buy at the nearby Stop & Shop for a lot less money. The meatball hero was good, but overpriced compared to places in Bklyn and Manhattan. The thing is, in this Arverne neighborhood, there are very limited options. So some people know they can serve whatever, and if it's not the greatest, and if the price is higher than it should be, it's okay because customers don't have the choices they have in more populated areas. read more

The food quality is decent, but way overpriced, come on ! $6 for a pepperoni slice? And other menu items are through the roof, like the tourist trap of the 70s & 80s. I can get much better quality in Brooklyn or Manhattan for less $. The owner, isn't pleasant at all, always has a straight forward sourpuss face, like he can't be bothered or thinks he's better than everyone else. I can tell who he voted for. For years, I have ordered 1 or 2 times a week from Boardwalk. The food I order is not anything extraordinary but I know what they make that I like and have been ordering those items for years. This evening, I made a mistake on an online order and called the store to make the correction. The customer service was abysmal. After I realized the person on the phone was rude and condescending, I asked to speak with the manager (just in case this was a language issue.) The man identified himself as "The business owner." My ordering error was easily resolved but his conduct was very off-putting. While waiting for my delicious grandma pie and chicken roll, I did a quick google search of reviews and found many people have been treated poorly by this man. I spend thousands of dollars here each year on their delicious grandma pies, fried calamari, and chicken rolls. Sadly, this will be my last order from Boardwalk. The prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size, and the slices are exceptionally big, making it a great value. The service is also a plus! Okay, so considering that this is the only Pizzeria in this area, it's not bad. Actually, I really do like the pizza. Pizza Breakdown: The Sauce tastes well-made; not too acidic and not too sweet. Has a nice savory flavor. The Cheese; it's not dumped on top of the pizza in copious amounts and the mozzarella is pretty tasty, chewy, and stringy. Just like we all love it. The Crust/Dough; I do tend to like my pizza dough more in the thinner side, for maximum crunchiness but overall the thickness of their pizza crust/sough is well balanced and affords you to grab several slices in one sitting. At this point, you're probably wondering why I'm only giving 3 stars Basically, it's the service and hygiene of the workers here. If I'm not mistaken I believe they were robbed a couple of months ago, and it seemed like a personal vendetta because, really, who robs a pizza shop lol? When you walk in you have a lot of options of where you can sit down, which is great. But the flies will find you and follow you everywhere. They used to have napkins on every table now you have to ask for them. Ask for extra too so you can wipe down the crumby table and chairs you're about to sit at. It can also get crowded really fast and when it gets busy they seem to forget who came in first and what's going on, so be mindful of when you ordered so your not left sitting or standing around like an idiot. Went in on a Sunday afternoon after a day at the beach...I'd say that it wasnt that busy. Upon walking up to the register I awkwardly stood there waiting to be greeted while one worker ate his pizza and the other stared at me...I broke the ice lol....and luckily they had a pepperoni pizza in the oven that would be ready in a few minutes. I ordered two slices and was stunned that it was over $10...so stunned I had to ask if it was the correct price...why on earth is 2 slices of pizza $10.....we sat outside where they have additional seating and I will say that the pizza was good....was it worth over $5 for a damn slice? I don't know exactly when they went under new management but I definitely tasted a difference in the food. Used to be my favorite slice in Rockaway and now I order because of the proximity. I recently ordered a Cesar salad from them and it was the WORST Cesar salad I've ever had. The "grilled" chicken wasn't grilled at all it was chicken marinated in balsamic and very sauce and the lettuce was terrible it was all the white/bottom part of the lettuce head, barely any green. Maybe next time I'll stick with the spinach or gorgonzola salad. I'll give it to them they do have quick service and a variety of pizza toppings/slices. I love the food and staff at this location and honestly if it wasn't for them, my money would all be going to Elegante. Which might start happening sooner rather than later. Made an account just to write a review about my experience the other day. First things first I feel bad for the workers it is so hot in that place , my daughter wanted to eat there and I refused it felt better outside . He refuses to put AC on and his workers suffer. I had the pleasure of being helped by a young lady with the tattoos she is very sweet and friendly and does very well at her job but she was running around doing so many jobs at once I could see the heat and exhaustion getting to her but she still made my experience pleasurable. The boss just seems like he doesn't care about the workers or anything it's how he wants things and that's it . NOW THE PROS- the food there is very very delicious definitely one of the best pizzas I've had . - and he does have great workers there in the establishment and always have a good experience with them . I go there in uniform all the time get good treatment , the second I go in regularly clothes I get harassed inside the store, asking if I can pay if I can afford to pay I say yeah and go get my water and they refuse to start my pizza until I paid. Which was never done before & they didn't do to anyone else who ordered. Never in my adult life have I ever been treated like that. An to understand the address he says hes not familiar with rockaway addresses we only 8mins away from location. so why even work there Or have someone answer phones... Not sure what happened. Use to order all the time. The waiting time for delivery is well over 2 hours. If it happened once or twice I could understand. People call in sick etc. Cars break down.
