Pizza ok, thin crust not grease. Zeppole was good and fresh. The chicken parm dinner was ok except for rigatoni pasta e watery tomato sauce. I have eaten here nearly twice a week since they opened. The homemade soups are fantastic, the chicken bacon ranch pizza is my personal favorite. I've had chicken parm, meatball parm, the spinach salad with hot bacon dressing is to die for. The owners, Dave and Gina are friendly and such great folks. All their employees are great people, hard working and conscientious. If you haven't been there yet, by all means go. You won't be disappointed. read more

This place opened a few days ago and is very close to work so I figured I'd try it out for lunch. You can tell they just opened because I had some pizza and cheese fries. The pizza was very good and tasty, and the slices are very large. The cheese fries were good too, I wish they had a little more salt on them. (I'm sure they will tweak minor things like this over the next few weeks) The prices are low and the menu is diverse. The food came out quickly, and I can see that they are trying very hard to provide exceptional service and make some repeat customers. Not sure what to say other than Thank goodness for Boardwalk Pizza. We finally found a place that knows how to make pizza. I could stop there and that would be good enough, but they have so much more to offer than pizza. They have excellent Calzones (Baked or Fried) and the way they make their calzones you do not end up with empty ends. There is plenty of cheese from end to end. They have some of the best garlic knots we have had. We have been there several times since finding this place and we recently tried there burgers which are also awesome. But there menu keeps going so many other options and choices each one seems to be better than the next. Oh Yeah if you like sweets they have them too. They have cotton candy (really) a restaurant that makes cotton candy and funnel cakes. If you really want to indulge though you have to try the Italian donuts. They are zeppoles made fresh and served warm and they are filled with Canoli cream topped off with powdered sugar and a chocolate drizzle. The place is spotless. All of the people there are very welcoming and helpful. The owner (Dave) is just a tremendously nice guy. Even though he is busy making sure everything is perfect he still takes the time to make sure you enjoyed the experience. My family and I have decided to drive a little further than usual to make this our regular stop for Pizza and more. Some of my coworkers and I wanted something different for lunch since we normally eat at the same places. I placed an order online and was told 45-60 minutes until it arrived. For some reason I could never find really good pizza in this area. Each place I tried was just OK. I live in Clifton where there quite a few good ones and I used to live in JC where there is like one on every block. Then someone told me about Boardwalk so I decided to try it and since then, I have never gotten pizza from another place in the area. The oversized pie is a great idea if your having a party and my go to sandwich is the Chicken Vodka Parm. My wife will sometimes call me asking to pick up the grilled chicken sandwich on my ride home. I have yet to have had a bad experience here! read more

The food is always delicious! I've had the pizza, pasta, sandwiches/wraps, burger and even delicious dessert!! My favorite is the burger... you can tell it's fresh beef and it's served on that Calandra's brioche bun... to die for!! I wanted to try this place sounds it opened & I had hoped I'd like it. The service was friendly. I ordered the 2 piece fried chicken & my husband & son had pizza. They said the pizza was ok. It took almost 30 minutes to cook the chicken, was disappointed by how small the pieces were but it did taste good but nothing special, Popeyes is better. Today was my second visit to Boardwalk Pizza. I decided to try one of the posted specials, which was Pulled Pork with BBQ sauce on a pretzel roll with cole slaw. It also came with a generous portion of fries for $7.99. The sandwich was very good and the fries appeared to be made fresh to order. The employees I encountered were once again friendly and helpful. I will return again because I want to try out their sausage, pepper and onion sandwich with tomato sauce and see how it compares to what I usually buy down the shore. My stepdaughter had a tennis tournament in February in Fairfield and we had to wait 6 hours between matches so we decided to get something to eat. Both kids picked this placed based on the great reviews we saw on Yelp and I have to say, we were NOT disappointed. They absolutely LOVED their pizza and I had a chicken salad that was insanely delicious and the portion was huge. I had one chicken breast left which I took home and enjoyed the next day. The service was outstanding, the food delicious. What more can I say, maybe that my kid should schedule another tournament in Fairfield so we can go again?!? If we are ever in Jersey again and in Fairfield, will definitely swing by again. And BTW, my kids know great pizza living in NYC so for them to give their pizza 5 stars says a lot. read more

I stopped in for dinner a few nights ago and boy was I happy I did! First off, the place was really cool looking...definitely spot on with the whole Jersey Boardwalk feel. I ordered the cheesesteak and my husband ordered the smoked chicken sandwich, along with a slice of plain pizza. We did a split on the sandwiches and I took a bite of his slice. The cheesesteak sandwich was awesome and the smoked chicken sandwich was ridiculous!!!! It was a bit on the sweeter side, which was a perfect compliment to the smokiness! The pizza? All I can say was, "WOW!" I wish they were closer to me because they don't have anything like in Wayne. It's worth the drive, though! The service was exceptional, too, which is always a plus! Went today 7/24 for lunch. The food was great the two girls who worked the counter were great but the cook not so great. He needs to realize that everyone hears what he says. He is in the front of the restaurant not hidden in the back. From complaining about the customer to cursing. I have two small children and that is not acceptable. I was very very disappointed the second time I ate here. The pizza was just way too dry again this time I got it. It seems like they put no sauce on it then proceeded to overcook it. And again. These prices. 4 and change for a speciality slice? Are you kidding? I might as well spend the extra couple dollars and just order a whole sandwich. Seriously how much money do you think you can milk out of your customers. Every pizzeria I have ever been to has charged about 3 dollars for a speciality slice. And don't even get me started on the rice balls. When I asked why they were 7 dollars they told me they were filled with meats and what not. So I said okay can I have a cheaper rice ball with nothing in it? And they told me they didn't serve that type of rice ball. Are you kidding? You call yourself a pizzeria. I checked and it was over an hour before closing....no plain slices at a pizza joint?!? Make a pie and cut it for your customer!!! Got a second call 5 min later saying there was no cheesesteak. Got whatever they had available. Delivery was quick but slices were stone cold upon arrival.....not even warm like they didn't heat them before delivery. My husband and I had never been but had a groupon and went to get some dinner on a Saturday at 8pm. The decor was nice. The place was empty besides the staff. We walked in and were trying to look at the menu and decide what to get. One of the employees, maybe the cook or pizza maker, was yelling about racism in this country for about 4 minutes straight while we were trying to look at the menu. No one was even answering him or saying anything and he just kept going! I literally couldn't even concentrate on the menu or what we should get.
