I called a different local shop and after two days I still never heard back. I called "417 The Shop", left a message and in less than five minutes had a return call. The owner is a super nice guy, he was honest about what he could and couldn't do on this particular Friday afternoon and what would have to wait until next Monday. I was able to get done everything I needed to within the afternoon. Efficient, knowledgeable, respectful and honest. Customer service was even above what I have experienced from many shops in the past. They even had a young man carry my freshly mounted wheels/tires out and load them up in my car for me. Service manager kept open communication and was notified of delay due to a techs family emergency. A total of 4 days not including the weekend.

Then one mechanic says all my sway bars have play and all the gaskets are leaking showing me a video. Then it took them almost 40 minutes to get a quote they said $1,300 which is insane. There are better local places that need you to support them and them to take care of you. I went to Hickman Auto and was roughly quoted which was fine until he can look underneath the van said about $700 and that's if everything failed at the same time. So be careful get 3 quotes and stay away from this place that took 40 minutes compared to the other mechanic 5 minutes.

I made an…read moreappointment to have my car looked at because of a small bounce - I was told that it wasn't a balance issue by another dealership, so I was expecting it would be shocks and struts all the way around, which they confirmed - original estimate was $1100 and that it would be done in 1 day. I was able to take my car in on a Friday morning so that they would be able to start the work first thing Monday morning - I received a revised estimate on Monday of $1400 - then received a call that the CV boot was leaking and should be replaced - revised again to over $1600 - asked if this would all still be done in 1 day - YES - I went to pick-up my car, when I arrived the car was still on the hoist with no one working on it and the "techs" all standing around chatting. I was told by one of them that the car ready - by another that it was still needing to be aligned - and by a 3rd that the CV boot was now actually not the boot but the CV Axel that still needed to be done. I was told that I would still be able to pick up the car that day - however - I received a car shortly after I left that the CV axel was stuck in the socket and they were unable to free it - would have to be completed the next day. After some discussion I was told that they do not normally perform this type of work which was why it was taking longer than expected - to which I inquired as to why-then did they offer to make this repair and also have this type of work as a "button" on their register. No real answer was given to that question - during that conversation I was told that I would be given a bunch of extra discounts and that some items would not be charged to my bill because of all of the delays and miscommunications that had occurred. The following day when I was told my car was ready, I went in to settle the bill - there were no discounts applied - and when I asked about the discounts - without checking or asking anyone I was told that the total is correct and that there are no discounts. As I was leaving, I asked one of the other people that had worked on my car about why it took so long - his response was that the car didn't arrive when it was supposed to, so they got a late start on it was why. I REALLY hate being lied too and then having them try to blame me for their incompetence - We will NEVER go this or any other Big-0 Tire again - Not that my one car will mean the difference between them making it or not - even when you throw in the other 15 cars that are in our extended family in the area - I just hope that this review is taken to heart by anyone else that my want to have this company perform work on their vehicles - my advice is PLEASE DO NOT!!!!
