Beautiful performing arts center in Charlotte. We traveled here from Raleigh to see Avatar the Last Airbender in Belk Theater. The acoustics were excellent and the employees were welcoming and helpful. The small size and horseshoe seating arrangement allows for great views from most areas of the theater. We sat in the orchestral section and would choose that same area again. I ordered the tickets online and it was very easy to select seats. Note that the seats are snug. We were packed in closely in small chairs. Don't be surprised if you touch shoulders with the people sitting to the left and right of you. Nonetheless it was still comfortable. The temperature, lighting, and volume were ideal. Use the restroom before the performance as you will be greeted with a very long line if you wait for intermission. Warning chimes are provided before the show starts at the beginning and as intermission is ending. These were so helpful and provided adequate time to find/return to your seats. Before leaving be sure to validate your parking. Blumenthal offers a preferred parking rate of $10 at specific parking garages. Their website lists the recommended garages based on the theater you are in. Overall we had a great experience and I would recommend this arts center to others!

Fantastic venue in uptown Charlotte. I've been to many shows here and a six was one of the best! Great venue with lots of seating and the staff and volunteers are great and very helpful. Lots of really good pre theater restaurants around too. Lots of parking decks nearby, and you can also pay for parking at the theater Wine and beer and coffee are available to take into your seats Go see a show !

Finally, I'm back attending live theater shows! Blumenthal is located in Charlotte, NC. Parking is normally reasonable if you park at a parking deck that is partnered with theater, info located normally on website. Theater is very clean and the friendly staff is always go above to help customers. Snack and drinks are kinda expensive, but I purchase to support them anyways. The fees are also outrageous to see live performances, so be prepared if you purchase online. In person at box office is always cheaper. The "Tina Turner" musical was fabulous and I highly recommend it to all!! Great night out in Charlotte, as always. Charlotte is one of my fav cities to visit!

I took my sweet nephew to see Winnie the Pooh for his 7th birthday a few weeks ago. The trip to Charlotte is quick for us and we made an adventure out of it, stopping for lunch before the show, going to the LEGO store and going to Amelie's afterward for hot chocolate and macarons. Being my first trip to this performing arts center and being unfamiliar with everywhere in Charlotte with the exception of the Sugar Creek Greenway and Nordstrom, I parked in a parking deck nearby that was sadly the "wrong one". $10 parking validation was available inside our theater lobby, which I bought not knowing I wasn't in the correct deck to use that barcode to get out. I ended up paying for parking twice and the deck I was in charged $18 for the 2 hours we were there. Yikes! But that's on me. The theater was intimate with lower/stage level seating as well as a balcony. We were seated in the first row of the balcony. Our view was excellent and she show was sweet as honey. I did note there were concessions in the lobby, which I thought was a bit strange. Do you really need popcorn and wine for an hour long live stage performance? Maybe you do. Whatever. But since we had just consumed lunch, we bypassed that feature. Maybe for an evening event or something a bit longer I might partake. I also had no idea until we were inside that the Blumenthal theatre was one of many in the facility. There is space for enormous Broadway productions and orchestral performances and they have a spectacular lineup of events heading our way over the coming months. Our charming theater had guides aiming us in the right direction once in the main building, which was helpful and kept us from steering off on a different adventure of getting lost (which I'm quite sure is possible). My nephew thought the fountains in the lobby were amazing (indoor water features are truly fancy, y'all). And we had a marvelous afternoon at a precious performance. I would absolutely look for something else to attend here! I want to see the rest of the auditoriums/theaters!

Classical music is always a good idea. I attended Beethovens Erotica and it was amazing. The ensemble played beautifully under the direction of the conductor. The guest violinist peeled into a butterfly as she played.

I took my 4 years to her first show to see Bluey and the overall experience was amazing. The staff is always nice and helpful which I love. They make us feel so welcome and excited for the event . Can't wait to go to our next show.

After a two year wait to watch this performance of the Empire Strikes Back, the Charlotte Symphony once again blew it out of the water. I still remember having dinner the night the performance was going to happen and getting an email saying it got cancelled with the start of the pandemic. The mask mandate had been dropped the week before, but it was a mixture of people wearing masks and not wearing them. I chose to go without, but I did have my mask on me if I ever felt too crowded/boxed in. Being fully vaccinated with a booster also gave me more comfort in knowing I've done all that I could for myself and those around me. The entire staff and the theater do wear masks and are super nice. They help user you through, and it's very smart they have so many people to help. I'd imagine not many people going to see Star Wars goes to the theater on the reg, so it's nice that the staff can direct you to the best door to go to in order to get to your seats with minimal crossing over folks. The symphony was spot on and it was great seeing something that everyone enjoyed- even if it's something that folks have seen so many times over. I highly recommend going to their movie series and other events because it's just fun and it's great to see how many instruments it takes to really score these epic movies.

Had tickets to see Beetlejuice and I was amazed by how many patrons there were and how efficient and organized the staff was! From the concessions to the table where you paid to park, everyone was friendly and helpful! Only complaint is that the seats were pretty tight and no cup holders, but overall my experience was fantastic!

We went to see Aladdin on Broadway and it was Phenomenal!! The venue was easy to get to and parking was on 6th St for $6. When we got there they had a beautiful backdrop for the show. The concession stand was very reasonably priced. The characters were very talented & Hilarious. Especially the Genie!! The stage settings were AMAZING! They included magic, sequence, sparkle, shine, and I was in AWE. I HIGHLY recommend seeing the show !!

We've been here a few times for various concerts-performances over the years...most recently, for…read moreKing Crimson and Beethoven Symphony #5...and I've been meaning to write a review, so here goes. First of all, I really like this theater. Of course it's not as big as Blumenthal (Belk), but I love the size of this theater. Due to its size, you always get a good view of the stage wherever you sit (especially referring to the rows downstairs). Also, it's a really nice, clean theater (think renovated recently...but I could be wrong). One thing that could use some improvement is the spacing between the rows of seats. It's so tight, it's truly hard to get past folks in the same row...say, if you arrive a bit late, or is trying to get out! I also noticed that for the last visit, there were some chairs out in the lobby...Yay to that! Lastly, I also like the acoustics at this theater. Everything seems to be on point However, there are a few things that I found a bit offputting. For this last performance, they didn't 't allow any photography now (even without flash?)...which I don't quite get. I DID manage to take a few pics, but before the show started. Good thing...'cuz I didn't realize it was forbidden. Maybe I didn't know any better, but I recall taking pics during the performances in the past. Maybe it's a new policy...or maybe it depends on the performance?? Last thing I wanted to mention was that after the show, there's this sense that they want us out quickly...as in pronto! I don't understand why the place can't be more hospitable, and stay open for at least 30 minutes after the concert...so folks can chat, drink, etc.etc. I mean, it was Saturday night...and really not that late either! On this last concert (Beethoven Symphony #5), they sort of bum-rushed us out by 9:45 pm (concert ended at around 9:30 pm)...and I was basically the last person inside...Why? I was waiting for my husband to pick me up in the car, and I didn't want to stand outside in the cold. Well, at 9:45 pm, I noticed that I was the last one in the place, and the ushers were sort of giving me the eye...basically bum-rushing me out! WOW. I don't recall that happening at any other late-night venue in town...where folks are encouraged to leave only 10-15 minutes, following a concert. So anyway, that's my take on the place. 5 stars for the space, cleanliness and acoustics...but 2 stars for service (not sure how I'd describe this rushing folks out part lol!). Since I'm a fan of this theater, I'll still drop 4 stars...but just wanted to mention that I'm NOT a fan of the near-rude service after the performance.

The ambiance early in the evening is relaxed outdoor seating needs to update the benches they're not comfortable and the woods starting to warp but, decent music, and a solid cocktail menu. It's the kind of place where you can actually hear your conversation and enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. However, as the night progresses and the vibe shifts into more of a "clubby" scene which ended up being a perfect combo but let's talk charges.. feels steep for what's essentially a modest venue without standout features. Drink prices were high like the cover but not in a way that reflects upgraded quality or service. For the area, there are other spots offering more for the same price or even less but with cozy comforts and inside seating, nicer facilities so it's easy to find things not to love if you come here to support a DJ friend like I did than pay the cover and mingle. It's not a bad place by any means, and the early lounge experience is definitely a highlight followed up with the banging DJ club scene after...it's just the paying premium rates for a relatively average experience for me.
