I enjoyed the music & worked up a good sweat. They have changed locations so check their Instagram for the latest updates on locations of dance class and what times. It's the best way to get some calories burned while jamming out to some great music. As long as your moving you're doing it right is the motto they profess so don't be scared to cut loose and groove. Be aware that they don't take any breaks but if you need to stop feel free. Classes are held in the school cafeteria. It's very easy to find. The dance moves are very easy to catch onto. I danced with Erica and some of the other ladies of the Jam CLT when they were with another company and it felt like home to be with these ladies again. They do some of the same dance moves from before and they have some new choreography to new songs. The musical selection ranges from Hip Hop to R and B to Pop to Country to Broadway all in one class. You are guaranteed to leave with a new favorite dance move or song!!! Thank you Erica Butler and the amazing women of The Jam CLT for keeping exercise fun in the Queen City!!!! I am so glad they formed this company and will continue the phenomenal work they do.

ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center on Seventh Street downtown to name just three. Each has specialties that make them individuals. The ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center collaboration between the library district and the Children's Theatre is a hands down wonder. While some libraries specialize in library things (games and toys) to engage kids and others specialize in library materials (books and puzzles), ImaginOn has it all ... including plays and story times. The library itself is free to enter, multi-story, newish, clean and easy to get to, with available parking that is free for 90 minutes with a stamped ticket. This facility absolutely had everything to stimulate kids of all ages ... probably 2 to 12 being the sweet spot. Do make a point of finding your way here for a visit someday ... you'll be glad you did. Highly recommended.

There is always some sort of craft, legos, toys and computers for her to play with/use. They also usually have monthly events and a theater. I prefer to download the CMLibrary app to keep up with events. We prefer to come here on the Saturday's but it's definitely more packed. It's about 40ish families at every session. They have a parking garage (under the library) which you can take the elevator directly into the library. They validate for 90 minutes. The issue is when it's full or days they have events parking can really be a pain. They may direct you to park at 7th street parking garage but they only validate after 5pm on weekdays or anytime on weekends.

She was very motivational and also helped us adjust our resistance throughout the class. What I enjoyed about her the most is that she made everyone feel special. There was a mix of beginners and veterans of Pilates in our class and she made sure everyone felt comfortable with every movement - and helping when needed. Most of my workouts are high intensity so the change of pace was great for me! But don't get me wrong - the class was a workout! I felt stronger than ever - working in slow movements and challenging myself with each stretch. Additionally Lindsay's playlist was on point. We were able to relax and make this workout our OWN and focus on OUR strength. In addition, the studio was very charming. It's got boutique vibes, but includes all the necessities like bathrooms, showers, a changing room and some swag to purchase. Overall I was very impressed with this studio and the instructor. I felt empowered and refreshed after my workout and I can't wait to schedule another class!

Challenging for sure but ultimately one of the best times I've had in a long time. They have beginner classes they call Fundamentals- fundies! The fundie classes are exactly what they sound like. They give you a good foundation to build on. I will say this isn't a one and done type of activity, you will want to come back! I've tried Hammock, Lyra and Silks so far. First of all, the silks smelled so bad, like sweat, and it was disgusting to use them. Second, there was a giant dead roach lying right next to the mat area and no one removed it during the class. Also, it was my first class, and almost the whole group were first-timers. I expected everyone to have their own spot with silks, but I had to share a spot with two more people. So for about 2/3 of the class I was just standing and waiting for others to take their turn. If I go to Pilates, I don't share a reformer with anyone - that should be the default. I'm pretty tall, and when I arrived, I randomly picked the silks without knowing they were different heights. But once we started doing exercises, I realized my head was bumping into the floor. I asked the instructor if the silks were different heights, and she said yes, then told me I could try to switch with someone from a different group if they were willing (but those groups were friends who came together). She didn't seem to care at all, in the beginning, she could have told me to choose a different height of silks since she saw I was tall. The nice part was the cute stickers everyone could choose after class, and the fact that they give you a list of the exercises you practiced so next time you can try something new. But overall, they really need to work on customer service and cleaning!!
