They also seem to attract some great people. Everyone in the studio and class is friendly, positive and respectful. The studio has a really positive vibe. We have also gone to their NYE gala, and their socials once a month. No matter what stage of dancing you are in, there is a place for you. No reason to be scared or timid. Everyone is loving and everyone is learning together. I think what gets me the most is how humble, genuine and kind this couple/owners are. They make you feel like family. I walked in trying to feel alive again. And that's exactly what I found. From the first moment, the space felt safe. No judgment. Just women at every stage of life moving their bodies with power, grace, and grit. The instructors are encouraging, patient, and real. They don't expect perfection!! they expect presence. Climbing that cold pole for the first time was more emotional than I expected. My body has carried a lot........ grief, joy, motherhood.... trauma....and for once, I wasn't ashamed of it. I was proud. PoleFit Carolinas reminded me I'm still here. Still strong. Still soft. Still worth showing up for. The instructors are amazing and very knowledgeable. I've trained in a few other Studios, from Main to South Carolina and they did not have as many amazing teachers. Each class is different and each teacher brings a different style to the mix. They are all welcoming and encouraging.

It has been a great experience with Nerijus at Queen City Ballroom. My husband and I took the…read more10-class package to learn first dance for our wedding. - Instructor: Nerijus welcomed us for our first complimentary trial class. He went through the basic steps for a few different types of dance (rumba, bachata, salsa, waltz, tango, etc.) since my husband had absolutely zero experience with dancing. We then had him as our instructor for the rest of our dance learning journey and he has been very helpful: great choreography to accommodate our stage and clothes restrictions, salsa music choice and music edit, flexible scheduling when we were busy with work. Other instructors were nice as well. - Location: convenient location near SouthPark Mall. Parking was a little tricky when the parking lot was under construction but otherwise there was always parking available. Whole Foods and several restaurants were nearby so there was no need to plan a trip specifically to the dance class - just one more thing into weekend routine. - Price: I figured it was almost the same price for a 10-class first dance package around Charlotte so I considered the price pretty fair.

She would tell what style of the music that we didn't have to guess. She encouraged everyone to grab a partner and dance. I had leant something and really enjoyed the time. We just did a three week "camp" of two back to back classes once a week for our daughter. BE WARNED…read morethat this business has two locations, one on either side of a large surface parking lot in a strip mall. Our young daughter had one class in each building, and had to walk from one building to another - that is, walk through a couple busy streets and a large surface lot - on her own between classes. The business did not tell us that she would have to do this walk between classes, and (more troublingly) did not have her accompanied by a counselor or staff member. For that reason alone, I would never recommend this business. As for the classes, my daughter (who is not yet a particularly advanced dancer) found her ballet class to be very remedial. I would stick with dance at the Y or some place that has a more safe and professional approach.

They treat the classes as if the children are on a competitive team, when my seven year olds just love to dance and want to enjoy the process of learning. We were recently kicked out of our class because of a family emergency that made it impossible to attend the recital at the end of the year so now my children who love going can no longer attend classes through the end of the year. The lack of understanding, flexibility and quite frankly care for the CHILDREN is astounding. I have more examples over the years - this is just the most recent.
