I enjoyed the music & worked up a good sweat. They have changed locations so check their Instagram for the latest updates on locations of dance class and what times. The classes are $14 per class so consistent with CLT prices. Good times and experiences! They say "as long as you are moving you're doing it right!"

It's the best way to get some calories burned while jamming out to some great music. As long as your moving you're doing it right is the motto they profess so don't be scared to cut loose and groove. Be aware that they don't take any breaks but if you need to stop feel free. Classes are held in the school cafeteria. It's very easy to find. The dance moves are very easy to catch onto. I danced with Erica and some of the other ladies of the Jam CLT when they were with another company and it felt like home to be with these ladies again. They do some of the same dance moves from before and they have some new choreography to new songs. The musical selection ranges from Hip Hop to R and B to Pop to Country to Broadway all in one class. You are guaranteed to leave with a new favorite dance move or song!!! Thank you Erica Butler and the amazing women of The Jam CLT for keeping exercise fun in the Queen City!!!! I am so glad they formed this company and will continue the phenomenal work they do.

Horrible place to send your kid. My high schooler would come home upset from staff members telling…read moreher she isn't a good dancer. She was constantly ridiculed and beat down so frequently that it lead to mental health issues outside of the studio. Never in my life would I expect grown adults to act like children; so much so that two of the staff members are frequent Disney visitors... It is truly unacceptable the way these ADULTS act. Another instance is when a teacher told the whole class they will end up homeless on the streets of NYC if they didn't start dancing better. These people pick and choose favorites and if your daughter or son isn't one of them... best of luck to you and go ahead and start looking for a therapist because your kid will need it. They claim to have a nurturing and confidence boosting environment but that couldn't be farther from the truth. The environment they create is uninviting, cold, competitive and cruel.

The recital is truly spectacular, held at Queens University, it is very exciting and professionally done. The studio itself is easy to access-- behind Park Road Shopping Center, and sells all the dance shoes, leotards, and tights they might need, at reasonable prices. No running out to Morris Costume shop! This studio is more pricey than the Y but the instruction is more technical and precise. I have done both-- loved the Y but the convenience and the instruction at Jami Masters won me over. They also do a monthly draft, so my scattered brain does not have to remember to pay monthly.

My husband and I took the…read more10-class package to learn first dance for our wedding. - Instructor: Nerijus welcomed us for our first complimentary trial class. He went through the basic steps for a few different types of dance (rumba, bachata, salsa, waltz, tango, etc.) since my husband had absolutely zero experience with dancing. We then had him as our instructor for the rest of our dance learning journey and he has been very helpful: great choreography to accommodate our stage and clothes restrictions, salsa music choice and music edit, flexible scheduling when we were busy with work. Other instructors were nice as well. - Location: convenient location near SouthPark Mall. Parking was a little tricky when the parking lot was under construction but otherwise there was always parking available. Whole Foods and several restaurants were nearby so there was no need to plan a trip specifically to the dance class - just one more thing into weekend routine. - Price: I figured it was almost the same price for a 10-class first dance package around Charlotte so I considered the price pretty fair.

This was my first time, and even though I wasn't nervous, I really appreciated the instructor's guidance and support. She gave clear verbal explanations followed by physical demonstrations, which was extremely helpful for those of us who were brand new. The space was clean, welcoming, and I loved that she used sanitizer wipes on the yoga mats before class. I didn't expect the fabric to have such a rough, "grabby" feeling at first, but after a while it didn't bother me at all. The staff was so kind, and we genuinely appreciated the chance to try something different together as a group. Highly recommend!

The fundamentals class runs through the basic poses with the silk and often incorporates some form of cardio (jumping, holding) and abs (bicycles, crunches). The flow classes are more yoga-inspired, and you get to coccoon inside your hammock for the end-of-class shavasana, which is AMAZING. On Friday evenings during the winter, they offer a candlelight flow class with the room dark and battery-powered candles on the floor to provide a calming feeling - a great way to shake off the work week. After my first couple classes, I was definitely feeling sore since I was using muscles I don't tend to isolate, like those in my back and shoulders. But even in just the one week, I've noticed a difference in my strength and confidence. The instructors will help you get into the poses - and stop you from spinning if you happen to get a bit out of control while upside down - and are overall very patient and kind. Every week, there's a "pose of the week" that you do during class, and afterward, the instructors will offer to take your photo if you'd like to post yourself doing it on your social pages. After I posted, many of my friends asked me about it. I'm trying to get them to join, so we can take classes together!
