I must be lucky or just good at picking spots. The only reason I even found out about this place was an advertisement on Facebook for .75 wings running on the lunch special in January 2023. I decided to take a friend there and try it (how bad can it be? Right?). I was pleasantly surprised with everything about this place. It is hidden away behind some major establishments but it is worth looking for. They have excellent wings. Their sauce selection runs from dry rub to fire and LLC points between. If you go before 8pm, it's somewhat family friendly. Nice drinks and friendly staff. The nachos were good! My husband enjoyed the Heartstopper burger, and slept for 4 hours at the hotel shortly after. The tater tots were delish! If you go after 10pm it's more of a sport bar/club feel, but it's pretty relaxed. They have great bar service and contemporary music. We went back the same night to watch a basketball game on the big screen after our kids settled in at our hotel. Not a lot to choose from if you want to hang out after 10pm in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, but Bluffs was a nice surprise for our last night in town. Good food but the bartender's service and attitude was ill-mannered, to say the least. And the worst part was that it was... a TAKE-OUT ORDER LOL. I'm not even talking about dine-in service. I'm talking about having to do the minimum work necessary for a take-out order. I'm not sure this lady should be serving customers because it's very apparent she hates her job and is miserable there. We placed a call earlier for take out. Walked in at pick-up time and the bartender (lady with dark hair wearing glasses and a black & white checkered shirt) turned her back on us to fill a cup of beer. We were confused as to where the pick-up area was. No sign telling us where to go, no greeting, nothing. So we went to the other side of the bar to hopefully get help from another server. No one helped on the other side either. One other server/bartender was busy with a lot of other customers. The bartender lady we saw when we first walked in came back around to our side of the bar, and served some customers. We stood there for awhile and she still didn't greet us, so we tried to approach her to tell her we were picking up an order. She looked at us, MADE EYE CONTACT WITH US, ROLLED HER EYES, looked away, and kept walking. Then she came over a few minutes later, offered no apology, and asked us why we were there. We told her we were there to pick up an order and she said "I CAN'T HEAR YOU" as if she were implying the masks we were wearing were a problem. She brought out our order, we paid with card, and she placed the card on the wet dirty puddle on the table! Was it that difficult to find a dry surface? Then she walked away without another word. It is really unfortunate that some grown adults are incapable of ever learning manners. Her behavior was absolutely disgusting. I guess she just wanted us to stand there awkwardly for 30+ min and wait for our food to get cold until she felt like talking to us. Never again. Even if you had a bad day, it's never an excuse to not be kind. There are a lot of people who are fully capable of serving WAY MORE customers (not to mention much more demanding customers) with a smile on their face - myself included. I can't recommend this place enough! The beer is cold, the vibe is great, the service is top notch, and the food even better! We're on vacation and stopped by for karaoke on Thursday and fell absolutely in love with this place, never had to ask for a refill, even when it got crazy busy, the servers are always super nice and easy going. Karaoke was so much fun! The DJ that night was super nice, fun, and kept the crowd engaged. We came back the next two nights for DJ Basehood and it was such a good time, great music, dancing, no bs and everyone just there to have a good time. They keep it very safe and comfortable which I really like. Food: The wings were sooo flavorful and not dry at all, the southwest tacos are freaking mouth watering. This place was better then expected. We stumbled upon this place after going to dave and busters and was pleasantky surprised by how slow it was for 1230. The food was great. I got the southwest quesadilla and my brother got the turkey wrap and my dad got the angus sliders all were great. The mozz sticks were good but could have been cooked alittle longer to melt the cheese more. Our server was very nice her name was jennifer. There over 10 mins before even acknowledged. Waited 10 more mins for drinks. Food never came as they forgot to place the order. No eye contact. Just awful. When we asked what beers they had the fella said "alot" ‍ We then asked for a menu/list. Oh, when informed he took our order but had forgotten to send it to the kitchen (40 mins after our drinks), they then tried to charge us for the food along with the drinks. Nuts! This rating comes from super drunk guy next to us at the bar who kept falling into us, and his friend who actually fell asleep and was kicked out. These guys obviously should not have been served. Was in town for a few days and wanted to go someplace that isn't everywhere. Finally decided to try Bluffs and should have gone sooner. Yes, they may be a half block off the Main Street but worth the extra 5 steps. Good food, friendly staff (servers, bartenders and kitchen runners), many entire options and a great price. I almost forgot they have cold beer. :) Most important the food isn't just at a good price but at a reasonable price. Many places push the prices up just because of the location but not Bluffs. I did go on a Sunday night so not the typical busy night but there was a great vibe, people playing pool and the staff having true conversations with their customers and each other. That has been hard to find lately and sure appreciated it (I attribute that to great management). There was also the option for a free appetizer with entree when you checked in through Yelp the first time. Great add on but wasn't the reason I went. It's a good neighborhood bar, that has a friendly staff with daily drink specials. Their food is above average when compared with other bar type restuarants. My hubby and I arrived in Pigeon Forge at 8:45 p.m. on a Sunday night hoping to kick off our vacation with an amazing meal only to find out that everything and I do mean EVERYTHING closes at 9 p.m.. Bummer but after some quick googling we found Bluffs and we were immensely grateful. We ordered drinks and wings and potato skins and they were delicious. The prices were not bad at all and the staff were all very kind and friendly. If we lived in the area this would be a place we would hit up regularly. If you are in Pigeon Forge and want a place to grab drinks and some quick bites (especially if it is late on Sunday) give Bluffs a try. It is off the beaten tourist path, but it is worth the drive, if for no other reason, that they do not charge the insane tourist prices. read more
