We love the food and on most atmosphere is fantastic. However every now and then we get the occasional drunk guy (actually same guy 3 tines) at the bar who is whispering in his outside voice about blacks Hispanics and Asians then proceeds to be your friend to tell a life story. It is extremely annoying and quite the put off. Somehow the staff puts up with it and they eventually they ask him to leave but after they sober him up outside so they do not have liability. I am certain the owner isn't aware or wouldn't put up with it. I plan to give direct feedback but want those who like this place to not be surprised. We waited so long after they closed down to be disappointed with this single act. read more

The service was poor. The french fries were low quality frozen and extremely greasy. The tartar sauce had a sour taste. The shrimp were so overcooked they had the texture of rubber. The shrimp were called large on the menu; they were VERY small. read more

I just love this place. Anytime we want seafood we go here. The roasted garlic oysters are awesome and honestly I hate oysters unless they're fried, but these are really really good. The blackened catfish is great, the fried catfish is great. The crab legs are awesome ESPECIALLY the Dungeness crab but we can't afford those anymore since they jacked up the price on them. The boudin balls.. best around in the area. The fried soft shell crab.. also one of my favorite! Have had the crawfish it's pretty good too. read more

My family and parents stopped into this place on a Wednesday night. It was busy, but not too overwhelmingly busy...and we were seated right away. My first impression (we're visiting from out of town) was that this restaurant was very cute and well maintained, but kind of an odd location for a seafood place. Our waitresses were very friendly and attentive. I ordered the shrimp stuffed avocado as an appetizer to start. I didn't know it was fried and it was basically 90% cheese inside, which was a huge turn off. I didn't finish it, but I did enjoy my clam chowder. My husband ordered the pico de Gallo oysters and was in love with them. My entree was the shrimp scampi (I know, not entirely a real seafood dish) which was pretty good. The shrimp was a little over cooked but the flavor was right on. I sampled a bit from my husband's entree and my daughter's and was surprised to find that their fish was also a little over cooked. All in all, however, this was a pretty good place to eat with friendly staff and a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The prices weren't too shabby either...but it is a seafood place, so a bit on the higher end. read more

Great roasted oysters on Wednesdays. Reasonable snow crab prices. The help has been hit and miss the last few times we have been here. They must be having high turnover with no training. The staff have trouble answering basic menu questions. The snowcrabs are consistantly good and reasonably priced. Crawfish are pretty good. I wish they would open the roasted oysters to become a regular menu item. The staff at the one on 1960 have been there forever and give much better service. I still like Bluewater for snowcrabs. read more

My go to place for crawfish in Spring. The rest of the menu is also great. Decent beer selection, love this place.

I have been Facebook creeping on Bluewater Seafood for about a month now and decided to go and see them for my birthday today! I had a great time and had some awesome fresh seafood ! Our server Ben was great, he was very knowledgeable of the menu and had great recommendations ! Will definitely be back soon! read more

Great local seafood restaurant. Decent prices, good service, great quality of food. They have good clam chowder, which is rare in the Houston metro area. read more

This is an awesome restaurant! I love this one ever since the remodeled. The food is so delicious and fresh. The ceviche is truly amazing! (Today's special). I recommend the shrimp diablo! So tasty!! Ashley is an awesome server too!! read more

We love this place! We tried it before the remodel and weren't impressed, but now it's much improved. We receive great service, the food is delicious, and they have great specials. My favorite is the coconut shrimp, and my husband loves the fried catfish. The grilled shrimp with the fried rice is also amazing. read more

Has turned ghetto. Staff sitting around on Saturday and this ghetto guy was blasting his rap music. Quality of food down too. Use to be a favorite place. read more

My wife and I ate here and the food was good. I give it a 4 stars because the service was slow and somewhat inattentive. The server was also not able to answer basic questions about the menu. Hopefully we will get better service next time because this place has potential and it may have just been bad luck. read more

Nice cozy place! Service was great! Ordered shrimp po boy and boudin balls. Shrimp poboy had plenty of shrimp although it didn't have the freshest quality or taste. On the other hand, boudin balls had a flavor of cumin. Boudin balls should taste like boudin and cumin is definitely not a season to be added. But a nice place to visit. Very attentive and nice staff. read more

I ordered food from Bluewater via the DoorDash app and was beyond disappointed. I was missing an entree, found a hair in our salmon dish and two orders of Mahi Maui were not prepared the way I ordered. We absolutely will not be going back! read more

Went to Bluewater Seafood last Tuesday, May 28, 2019, and I ordered snow crab and my husband ordered the fried catfish. The crab was good but the catfish was rubbery and my husband couldn't even cut into it. After waiting ten minutes before we could get someones attention, my husband sent it back. The waiter asked if he wanted something else but my husband declined. So He sat there until I was done with the crab and again had to flag someone down to get our bill. The waiter was always in the kitchen so we don't know if he was also the cook. When we finally received our bill we were overcharged so had to send the bill back to get the corrected bill. My husband had to flag someone down again to pay the bill and made a complaint to a waitress there about how bad the service was. You would think once the food was sent back a manager would have come by the table to talk to us but when my husband talk to the waitress, she said that the manager would talk to us. Needless to say we haven't heard from anyone yet. read more

Bluewater is my new favorite seafood place. Me and my husband went there last weekend and the wait was CRAZY! There were people standing outside the door to just get their name on the list. Well now I know why! The food is amazing! This poor girl at the front could barely talk but she was still doing her best to get everyone seated and happy. Our server was outstanding. I can't remember their name but even with it being CRAZY busy they were still fantastic. The crawfish is very pricey compared to every other seafood place and I would say its almost worth the price. Management was super awesome and we even got to meet the owner! It's very rare that an owner is at their own restaurant going around and talking to people. Staff overall was great and the food was just as good! Definitely come here if you haven't tried it but come before you're even hungry because by the time you get sat you will be starving. read more

We had visited this restaurant before and enjoyed it... but it has gone down hill. We started with margaritas or should I say Water-ritas with lime. I ordered the Mahi Mahi with shrimp sauce and it tasted like microwaved frozen dinner (over cooked and rubbery) - only it was served cold, the green beans as well as the toast tasted like 'day old' left overs. We also had the fried soft shell crab - it was ok but it was not served hot, almost like it had been left "under warming lights". The service was slow, it took a long time to get our ticket so we could leave; during our visit they never checked on us to see how we were doing or if we needed anything. Next time I want fish and think about going to this place, I will just stick some of Ms' Pauls fish sticks in our oven!!! read more

service was terrible, had to ask for water 3x salad was horrible, at least 2 days old , not fresh gumbo had those cheap small shrimp you buy frozen from walmart shrimp poboy at lunch was on a hot dog bun served with small fried shrimp. had to wait 10 minutes for my change after paying waiter. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT PLACE AGAIN, should of gone to my usual seafood places. read more

My husband has been wanting to try this place for awhile now. We had company in town last night and decided to give it a whirl. What a terrible experience...where do I even start?!?! 1) We waited over 10 minutes for the beers we initially ordered, after several reminders to our server, David. 2) We ordered an appetizer before our meal. It came out with our meal. I sent the appetizer back because the whole purpose of ordering an appetizer is so you can eat it before your meal. 3) A couple of us had salads with our meals. They, too, came out with our meals and looked less than appealing. How big did they think our table really was??? Anyway, we ate the salads before our meal (like normal people do), while our meal sat and got cold. The salads should have came out prior to the meals! 4) Two of the people in our party ordered the Snapper plus 3. The Snapper was entirely over cooked. Snapper is a flaky fish...this was cooked so long that we were able to pick up the entire piece with our fork and eat it like chicken. And I'm pretty sure the menu said the shrimp came wrapped in bacon...no bacon on either plate! 5) Speaking of bacon, my daughter ordered a burger that included bacon as one of the toppings. A HALF A STRIP OF BACON is ridiculous on a burger that size! 6) I ordered the Monterrey Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries and no Shrimp Fried Rice or Pico de gallo. My chicken came out with all of the above! I immediately sent it back as it wasn't what I ordered. The server returns shortly thereafter with my plate. There was still rice on my fries and chicken. You could tell all they did was scrape the pico off the top and remove the rice from my plate. I COULD HAVE DONE THAT MYSELF. I sent that back and told the server I wanted a brand new entrée because I was allergic to tomatoes. Needless to say, he did so reluctantly. 7) The new meal came out after everyone else at the table was done eating. 8) One person ordered a second beer. After 15 minutes, and once again, numerous reminders, he returned with two beers. At that point, I was tired of sending things back, so we kept both beers knowing we'd be charged for both of them anyway. 9) After getting my $93 bill for one of my worst dining experiences, I was appalled at the upcharge for sweet potato fries for my entrée! Not one apology from Management through this entire experience. Long story short, I will not be returning to this establishment EVER! What a huge disappointment! read more

Great seafood! A very casual environment. A nice outside patio. Our waitress was very helpful explaining the variety of seafood dishes and the service was prompt. We will be back and will bring others with us. read more

We dine here often, especially during crawfish season, however this season has been plagued with bad service. All the staff is friendly, except for Cindy, (one of their waitresses) -- she apparently has terrible people skills. Not only did she mouth off to my mother, she continued to roll her eyes and berate us with her tone. Unfortunately, we've had to deal with her three times recently, and won't be coming back. It's a shame one person can ruin the entire experience. read more

My family and I love this place! Always great customer service. Always great food. Big portion sizes. I LOVE their oysters with garlic butter and parmesan. They are our favorite crawfish destination. We have also placed to go orders a few times with great success. Keep up the good work! read more

Worse crawfish I have ever eaten hands down. My wife ate one and was done while I forced my self to eat a half dozen to see if it was just a couple bad ones of the bunch, but sadly that was not the case. My sons grilled cheese even had a hair in it to top it off. Service was good, but food not so much. read more

The NEW store is AWESOME!! They just reopened from a year of remodeling and it shows!! Not only is the restaurant inviting with its new look, the food was FANTASTIC!! I ordered the Grilled Salmon and it was cooked to perfection!! As was the Crawfish the hubby ordered. A much needed improvement to this place. I will be going back on a regular basis, and since I live very close by, intend on using the to go menu as well. GREAT JOB GUYS!! read more

Unable to post my comment without clicking on a star. This deserves a NO star rating. We have gone to Blue Water Seafood Grill on FM 2920, Spring, TX, for years; however, after our experience on February 14, 2013, probably will never go again. My husband ordered 1 1/2 dozen oysters on the half shell, waited for what seemed like forever for them to be delivered to the table. In the meantime, placed our meal order, still waiting. The waiter came out with the oysters, showed them to a man behind the counter, the man did something moving them, the waiter then took the oysters back into the kitchen. Few minutes later, he came out again with the oysters. Six oysters were in a small black bowl, the other dozen were on a tray. NO ICE. No lemon, no horseradish. I went to the counter asking for both, the woman gave me slices of lemon that naturally could not be squeezed onto the oysters. The oysters had drained the liquid into the bowl since they were just tossed in. Then the waiter came out with my Clam Chowder, had no spoon, so he walked over to behind the counter where there was a can of spoons, pulling several out. He selected a teaspoon, took his fingers, wiped it off, tossed it into the soup bowl. Naturally I would not eat the chowder then. Wasted. Our meals were brought to the table, the fish in my sandwich was fried to almost burnt. This was one of the worst experiences ever. It appeared there was no adult supervision, only a bunch of teenage/young employees. At 4:00 p.m., 10 young employees came in for the afternoon/evening shift, it was a fiasco. I cannot find the name of the owner, no one will provide me with it, and they are not listed with the BBB. What we went though at Blue Water needs reporting, especially the unsanitary way the spoon was handled and oysters that were not chilled could have proven to be a dangerous treat. read more

We went on the Friday after Thanksgiving and had a very nice experience. The décor was much more seaside, beach, laid back than we expected. It was pretty empty which could have been due to the weather. We were seated immediately. The server came by quickly for drinks. Our appetizer was out quickly. The shrimp nachos were so good with tons of cheese. We both had the small shrimp (6) with onion rings. It was all very good with good sized shrimp. My husband has a rum and Coke which he liked. I had a tropical mixed drink which was too strong, and I don't think I have ever said that before. For the appetizer, two entrées and two drinks our bill was ~$50 which we found very reasonable. The cons - our waiter seemed a bit in experienced but was overall fine; entrées came out too soon after appetizer; I'm not a fan of their tartar (too salty) or cocktail sauce (too bland). We will definitely go back. read more

My wife and I tried this place for my birthday yesterday and were sceptical based on past reviews. I'm glad we did though because these guys have nailed it! Service, courtesy, quality and amount of food vs price were exceptional. We ordered half a dozen oysters on the half shell; which were the best I've had outside New Orleans, gumbo, and their blue water platter which served up three kinds of crab legs, boiled shrimp, crawfish, sausage, potatoe, and corn. Crawfish is out of season of course and the shells were titanium hard but that's a matter to take up with mother nature. The crab deserves special mention as it was absolutely delicious. My wife had never eaten crab legs before and fell in love, she also tried the oysters and ended up eating two! We will definitely go back and have already recommended this place to friends. One suggestion to management: not everyone understands crawfish are out of season, for those ordering them boiled you may want to inform them that the shells will be hard because of the time of year. On a side note, the nut crackers and scissors were a nice touch to the platter. I grew up in this area and am very picky about where we dine because I can be, this place just got added to the list. read more
