Always great! We love the ribs of course, kids love sausage, and the ranch pasta salad is a huge hit. The sweet potatoes are great and slaw is awesome. Plus the drive thru makes life so easy when your on the go as we usually are. Keep up the great work guys we love blues! read more

I want to thank the owner of Blue's for taking care of my sister and brother-in-law a few weeks ago. I am from San Diego, CA and knew that Blue's BBQ is my brother-in-law's favorite restaurant. My sister and their youngest daughter had been in the hospital for a week and I wanted to help my brother-in-law out by having a meal delivered to the family. Little did I know that Blue's doesn't typically deliver unless it is for a catering event. After talking with the owner, he agreed to have one of his children deliver the meal. THANK YOU for going the extra mile and making my brother-in-law and children's day by taking them some BBQ for dinner!!! I have heard you make the best BBQ. I am definitely going to have to stop in the next time I'm in Billings visiting my sister and her family. Thanks again!! read more

Yay! I'm a fan. About 100 yards away from this place the heavenly smell of bbq smoke reached me and guided me to the promised land. Ordered the brisket and pulled pork with potato salad and everything was excellent. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying the ribs because they looked really good as well. Yes it is located next to a convenience store but there's plenty of space and appears to be run independently. read more

The brisket was delicious, I also ordered baked beans (a must try) and potato salad (go ahead and skip it). Prices are reasonable, sometimes there's a wait time but it's worth it. My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it tasted on point read more

I was intrigued by this place, a gas station/Bar-B-Que joint reminded me of the Whoa Nellie Deli at Tioga Pass (Don't Pass it up if you are on 395 at Lee Vining). I had the rib platter with two sides and at $11.00 it was a great bargain. The ribs were good, flavorful, not suffering from over spice and a nice smoky flavor. I was disappointed a bit in the sauces, as I found them rather bland (the hot sauce wasn't). Beans were good and the coleslaw was acceptable, but not memorable. But really who chooses a good Bar B Q joint because of the coleslaw? I would definitely go back and since I am in town for three days, I just might do that. read more

I was gonna write a review last time I checked in but my hands where indisposed at the moment. Finger-licking good BBQ! Then catered at work and had racks of ribs always a great rub & crust, tad undercooked. Pit beans are good. Coleslaw sloppy. Salad plain. Pulled pork is super tasty! Mild sauce is spicy. Hot sauce is spicy as hell. Enjoy! read more

Just a heads up...Located inside the gas station.... Ribs were 5 star, brisket was 2 stars ( a bit too dry for our taste). Sides were nothing to write home about. Get the ribs to go and make your own slaw. :) read more

Good food and good value. good Try the smoked turkey. Brisket and pulled pork are also great. Update: Still awesome bbq read more

Went to Blues BBQ and I got the rib and brisket combo plate with 2 sides. The ribs are incredible and the brisket had phenomenal flavor and really tender. I see why they have the best BBQ in town and why they're on the top 100 list of BBQ spots in the country. read more

Blues BBQ is the American dream come to life. I cannot drive by without smelling the smoke from Main Street. Its like the pied piper is pulling me in. Amazing slow smoked ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and turkey. House made sides and homemade BBQ sauces. I've had a lot of BBQ across America and this place is my go to. Blues doesn't set the bar, they are the bar. read more

Was about to stop at a chain restaurant and spotted this nearby via Yelp. What a good decision to come here. Small plate of brisket and turkey along with 2 pretty decent sized sides and a soda for $8. The turkey and brisket were both awesome.... Friendly staff, quick service and all in all can't give less thank 5 stars. First time having BBQ in a gas station and if I get the chance to come back before I leave town I definitely will! read more

Did a trip to Yellowstone with the family. On the way out, we stopped in Billings, MT for the night. Was craving BBQ and found Blues in Yelp. There was 8 of us and we stopped in before they were closing. As noted by others, inside a gas station, very casual, but very clean. We ordered the family special... Lots of brisket, ribs, slaw, baked beans, and bread. After we got served, there was almost zero talking as everyone devoured their serving and got seconds. Great food, great service, friendly staff, and affordably priced. Wish they had a store here in my home state. read more

Don't be fooled by the location of this place being in a gas station. It's the best bbq in town. The smoked brisket sandwich is awesome and their bbq sauce is delicious too. read more

Best barbecue in town!you wont leave hungry.plenty to choose from.friendly help.great sauce.get fuel while you eat.

Blues is deceptively good. Saw that it was connected to a gas station and had a drive thru and almost drove away. It is Definitely a hole in the wall type restaurant but it was busy and we were starving. Ribs were just pulled from the smoker outside and brought in full racks. They were juicy and had great flavor. The brisket sandwich was delicious as well. The beans were delicious and the coleslaw was coleslaw. The BBQ sauce was a little lacking in flavor and the HOT sauce didn't have any kick. Don't regret the stop at all. read more

Poor service. ,Don't DARE TRY SIDES. Brisket fair, and sauces questionable., come to think about it, why waste your time and mone? ?????

This is the best bbq in Billings. In Texas, it would rate as above average. I am fairly picky about bbq after living in Memphis and Dallas. I jump at the chance to eat here. My employer regularly brings in Blues for lunch. The ribs, brisket, and turkey are all good. Like the other reviews say, don't be dissuaded by the appearance of the place. read more

One of my favorite lunch locations! I always order the ribs and brisket. I have never been disappointed with the ribs, but one time the brisket was a little dry. (I have forgiven them the one time slip) Otherwise everything has always been great! I usually get the slaw, and mix it up with the other sides. I usually slather the meat in the "hot" bbq sauce, but the dry rub on the meat is good enough to eat without the sauce. If you're in the mood for bbq in Billings, you can't beat Blue's read more

The best!!! Quality bbq for a great price. My family and I were visiting the area and this place was recommended to us. Amazing! It's located with a gas station no one would know they would be there . The truth is that they serve quality bbq! I wish they were near me. read more

Blue's BBQ - the front of the restaurant - Barbeque Near Me - Billings, Montana

Traveling from Las Vegas and came across this BBQ joint. Absolutely delicious. We had the brisket with the potato salad and cole slaw. Homemade BBQ sauce was outstanding! If and when we cross the state again we will have to make it back to this hidden gem. read more

Good Food & Fair Price! I met the owner like 10+ yrs ago and food is good! How they keep that smoked turkey so moist is wonderful! It's not fine dining but served on picnic plates. They usually have a deal like a pulled pork sandwich + 1 side + pop for 7 bucks or 2 sides for another buck! I've never had the ribs but the brisket, pulled pork, turkey & sausage are really good! I've been eating there over 10 years and always consistent! read more

The best BBQ ever!! LOVE Blue's BBQ. It's a good thing we are 45 minutes away or we'd be eating it every night. The smell when you walk in is intoxicating. Don't change a thing! read more

This is the greatest place in Billings Montana! There good is amazing, the owners are the nicest people I've ever spoken to. Had a minor issue with 1 meal in all the years I've been going there and they fixed it instantly. It was a long day I was tired, hungry and it was late with a husband and 4 kids to feed. So I am so thankful they have an amazing place to eat. read more

I'm obsessed with this place. The service is incredible (although I've always had takeout), the meat is so freaking tender, the prices are right. What an obscure find. This place is hidden in a gas station (whaaaaat???!) but don't let that stop you. The best BBQ you will ever have. Seriously. read more

Don't be fooled by the location, because this is solid BBQ. Brisket is very tender and the sauce is great. I also like the baked/smoked yam. Don't pass this up if you are craving food Texas-style BBQ. read more

Reminds me of the BBQ in Memphis - fantastic! Good portion sizes and great sides too. Best place we have found in Billings for authentic tasting BBQ. read more

Yes this place is located inside a gas station convenience store but it serves the best BBQ north of Texas. All their meats are smoked daily and are delicious. The sides are good too. Friendly family run BBQ joint. read more

After having Blue's BBQ cater several meetings for the company I work for we decided to give Blue's a try as a family since there just aren't many BBQ choices in Billings. We literally spit out more gristle and fat from the BBQ sandwich than the meat we ate. Nasty and have not been back since. Overpriced terrible cold BBQ is how I would describe this mess. Save yourself the trouble and disappointment by going to Dickies or Famous Daves because at least those places have some level of atmosphere...Blue's is in a gas station/convenience store! I continue to shake my head when people say that they like Blue's. I can only attribute this to the fact that they are locals that haven't really traveled much or even had mediocre BBQ because this place is terrible. read more

My husband loves this place! Which is why I gave it 4 stars, the meat is really tasty! Everything else, not so much. I usually just get the brisket without the bun and baked beans. It's satisfying with no frills. read more

Definitely not the best BBQ around. The flavors were alright. I had wings and was grossed out that they were reheated in a microwave. Mushy wings are not okay! My husband'a meal was better overall, so perhaps it was just the wings. I suppose a fast food BBQ joint in a gas station can't promise much. read more

Brisket and shredded pork were both good. Fair priced. No frills gas station dive. Nice folks.

Get the ribs! They say world famous, and I'm not sure about that, but they are darn tasty. Just the right amount of smoke flavor, and the meat was fall-off-the-bone tender. The sides (I had potato salad and coleslaw) were pretty good, but the ribs are where it's at! A coworker who I ate with had the brisket sandwich, which he said was good, but he ate one rib and said next time he's getting ribs. The prices are fair and the food is ready almost before you're done ordering (they even have a drive through). Probably the best meal I've had on this end of Billings. Don't let the fact that this place is in a gas station deter you! read more

The only downside to this place they only have baby back ribs but they were very delicious and very tender would recommend them to everyone ! I did not even have any sauce on mine the brisket was tender and the pulled pork was delicious and tender also! read more

It's our fav bar b que. The smoked turkey is my favorite! The ribs are great too! We order it take out a lot and then go somewhere else to eat. read more

We stopped by for lunch on our way home from our trip to Glacier NP. Great BBQ. We each had the Brisket and Rib Combo. Excellent flavor, good bark on the brisket and the ribs were very tender. Beans were above average and good homemade potato salad. Overall, this was as good as the BBQ we have eaten in KC and Texas. Fast friendly service and great pricing. read more

Was told about this place by a friend. When we pulled up and saw it was attached to a gas station, it made me worry the food wasn't going to be good. Holy cow, was I wrong! The food here is SO GOOD! My husband and I were definitely not let down! The only reason I would give them 4.5 stars is we are bummed there were no beef ribs lol. Definitely coming back and bringing the entire family! read more

Thank you Blues BBQ for being here and Billings Montana. Sorry West End you have to come to the heights to taste this delicious food and it's worth it. read more

This was voted best BBQ for a reason! Ribs were awesome! Tender, juicy! Brisket was on point! Will be back again before I leave!

Pretty good BBQ. The turkey could have a bit more flavor but the ribs were meaty and full of flavor. Didn't really need the sauce. I'm used to NC BBQ but I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be returning while here in Billings. read more

Blue's is a family favorite! Located in a gas station, a little of the beaten path; just as most "great finds" are! We live in the heights and feel this is one of the best parts of living on this side of town! Even our young kids are fans of their fantastic ribs. I do not use sauce on my ribs and this is one of the only places I have eaten where the ribs have plenty of fantastic flavor without sauce! The pulled pork is another favorite of mine. Top a pulled pork sandwich with some coleslaw and you are in heaven! YUM! read more
