She showed for another product which I asked her to apply to my eye. I caught attitude from her. When I said I didn't like it she put it back and went back to her phone at the register. For Mother's Day I decided to take my mom here because she's obsessed with this store & products and loves smelling things. While we were there ARIANNA was absolutely amazing , so kind, professional polite, sweet five star customer service, talking to her, was like talking to someone that you have known for such a long time... She was in the middle of stocking stopped what she was doing to help us had so much patience, and answered all of our questions let my mom smell 1 million different things asked what she liked so this way she could give recommendations. My mom was stuck between two perfumes. She couldn't decide, so ARIANNA gave her a sample of the two and put them in a cute little bag. Today I went for my first purchase at this store! Big mistake ! Should have rather driven to the Mall to get the moisturizer I needed. There was what seemed to be a new employee and the manager. I bought the moisturiser I usually got at Lord and Taylor which unfortunately closed. I bought the Moisturizer I needed and asked if they have a product for eyelid puffiness which I got after cataract surgery. I nicely requested a little sample to make sure it will work for me and there will be no reaction. Grudgingly she put exactly TWO drops from a used little container in a minuscule container that will probably not be enough for even half an eyelid!! Very unfriendly poor service! Zero rating would be more adequate! read more

Then others walked in after us, and were offered immediately a drink and some time to spend with an artist to freshen up there spring look. Seriously, WTF. When someone finally came over to us (we were the only ones on the store) she was very dry and lacked any skill. Ladies ( and men) if you are looking for a fabulous eyebrow shaping or facial you HAVE to go see Lisa in Westfield Bluemercury. Years ago I shaved almost all of my eyebrows off and tthought I would never have a shape to them again. I found Lisa about 3 years or so ago and she is hands down the best at brow shaping and facials. Lisa doesnt go in and take off everything like some places do, she listens to what shape your looking for and waxes or tweezes. I HIGHLY suggest you go to her. Some people may think $25 is pricey for eyebrows but for the relaxation of it, clean atmosphere and a professional who knows what she is doing it is so worth it. As far as facials go, if you have never gotten one then you are missing out. Lisa does all kinds of amazing facials. I have had the Modern Facial which is basic and also got microdermabrasion. Both have been hands down the best. She only uses products catered to your skin type and won't push products on you that you can't afford. Be warned, though, this ain't your neighborhood drugstore, and the prices are nowhere near that range! The shop itself is lovely- very clean design and warm tones and lighting. They once even had some gorgeous and delicious strawberries and chocolate for customers- yum! They carry my favorite hard-to-find-but-can't-live-without-it product, Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion, totally worth the $17 pricetag. Other brands are the ones you always see in the beauty mags: Molton Brown, Paula Dorf, Diptyque ($30 candles- eek!), Bumble & Bumble, etc. read more

I never post reviews but had to in this case. The staff at the Westfield store is not the caliber I am used to dealing with at other Bluemercury sites. I have had 3 terrible experiences- the latest involved my daughter seeking out a new foundation. They could have cared less. Just said we can't try the makeup but offered no advice to matching color. They left us to figure it out and we walked out when the manager abruptly approached us and said sternly " what do you need?" She was clearly bothered. When we explained she said "..you don't want that..you want a cover stick...". That is the last thing we wanted! She didn't listen, was rude and it is hard to take her seriously when she is dressed in jeans, puffer vest and flannel shirt- really?! We drove all the way to the Princeton store where we were treated like they wanted to help and solve our problem. Bluemercury- seems like the Westfield staff need additional training and oversight. What is the matter with this place? Are they finding it hard to find good people to work? The customer service is awful. The manager there has a major attitude problem. She is rude, talks down to you and makes you feel unwelcome. I ordered something that they did not have in stock and promised that it would arrive in a week. She gave me a small sample to tide me over. A month goes by and after a few calls and no real answer, I decide to go in to see what's happening. They track the order and tell me it will arrive today but I wasn't going to take their word for it since this had happened before. So when I ask what I can do if it doesn't arrive she starts telling me it will arrive and I have been helping you by giving you "samples". She gave me one tiny sample with one squirt. She then says they are not responsible for UPS, I understand that but then when she had to sell the product, she was so optimistic that it would arrive in a week. Her whole tone changed once she had made the sale. I will not be taking my business there again ever. Please spend your money at another bluemercury that knows how to treat it's customers. read more

Natasha is great for waxing. She really listens to what you want and makes sure that the wax is the right temperature. The sales people are helpful without being pushy. I never feel like I'm being "sold" here. Products tend to be higher end, often smaller brands that you don't find everywhere. The store is light and airy. If I could give this place negative stars I would! My mom and I went into Blue Mercury on Saturday, in which I have never been before and if had a pleasant experience would possibly be a returning customer, to search for some cute gifts because I had a gift card. There were 3 salespeople working and 1 customer being assisted in the store. The salesperson toward the front of the store said hello and told us where the hand sanitizer was when my mom asked. We go to the register to sanitize before browsing and not one of the two women standing at the register said hello, gave any eye-contact, or asked if we needed any help - just shoved the sanitizer bottle under the shield opening. We thought it was very strange and we could feel the negative energy in the air. We go about our business looking at the Kiel's section when another customer walks into the store, is immediately greeted, and asked if she needs any assistance. The saleswoman, I believe her name was Claudette, walks to the Kiel's where my mom is looking at products and without saying excuse me or ANYTHING at all, leans over my mom to get something (obviously NOT six feet away) and acts as if she wasn't even there. My mom (who just turned 60 and fabulous) was internally screaming and could not believe how rude someone could be to lean over a customer, practically breathing on her, without saying a word. I work in retail and customer service is THE MOST IMPORTANT aspect of my job. If you come into my store, you are immediately greeted and asked if you need any help, no matter what we were previously working on. We went to the register to pay and AGAIN were not greeted, no eye contact. I hand her my gift card, and she doesn't know how to scan it so she calls Claudette over to help. Turns out the gift card was actually for DermStore but why didn't the first woman who I handed it to tell me that?! So strange! When she told me I couldn't use the gift card because it was for another store, I apologized and if I had been treated better in the store, would definitely have purchased the items. I take responsibility for not being able to read gift cards, but their customer service was TERRIBLE and I will never be going back. read more

I love this store. The staff is very skilled, knowledgeable, and professional. They "saved my life" more than once, when my skin was a mess and I needed a quick fix before work. They were always happy to give me a touch-up for free and recommend wonderful products that were perfect for my needs. When putting makeup on me, they bring out my natural beauty instead of changing how I look. I appreciate that. Thank you ladies for being so sweet and attentive to me! A note a few months later: Their Laura Mercier representative, Diane, is so knowledgeable and sweet. She introduced me to a rose-infused oil that has really helped to calm my redness. I love the product lines that they sell. The store is kept clean, and items are well displayed. The staff is ok. They are either too enthusiastic (only happened once) or nowhere to be found (you would thing they are doing you a BIG favor just by talking to you). This was just so horrible. I have to share. Blue Mercury downtown is holding an event, and I signed up for am 11 am makeover appointment. I told them when I made the appointment that all I cared about was time, because I have to pick up my son at 11:45. They said no problem. Awesome right? No. First, I was ignored when I first came. After about 5 minutes, a woman finally asked my name and told me to go sit at a chair in the back. After 10 minutes of sitting in the chair, I got up to ask what was even going on. They said the person doing my makeup would be another 10-15 minutes. Mind you, this is already 15 minutes after my appointment time, so they wouldn't see me until HALF HOUR after my appointment. All the while, 2 or 3 other reps were standing around doing nothing, or raking walk ins. When I said I have a time crunch, the front desk person just shrugged and said "oh well, we can't control the people the brand send." No, they can't, but you CAN offer another brand, scheduling a different time, or even just telling me about the delay instead of just ignoring me. I have never experienced such horrible customer service. I was one of just TWO customers in the place. I am never going back there again. read more

I had a facial with Lisa, and I must say she is amazing! I have had hundreds of facials and she truly has been the best. First I answered a questionare, then brought back into the room. The place is very clean, and sanitary. Lisa asked me questions about my skin care regimen and decided I needed the fusion facial. I not only got a chemical peel, but also oxygen therapy! All my blackheads were gone and I feel refreshed and hydrated for my event. My skin looked absolutely amazing! Not to mention all that for $175! You don't get that in this town. Thank you Lisa!
