We've used 3…read moredifferent contracting companies now to remodel different bathrooms in our home and I'd say Cotfort was the best in terms of communication, flexibility, and quality. Some highlights I'd call out are they have great subcontractors and technicians. The tiling, paint job, electrical... everything was fantastic, and everyone was super easy to work with. We've always had communications / language barriers when working with workers in the past, so it was nice to be able to answer questions or give feedback directly onsite without having to wait for Umid to jump in. I also found Cotfort trustworthy and reasonable. For one, I decided to try an online-only tile company which led to terrible delays to the project (my fault there), and they were patient with reschedules though I know it caused them headaches. They also stepped in to make things right, without hesitation, when their countertop fabricator accidentally installed the wrong floor curb on the shower. Another sign of trustworthiness: I asked them to come back after the work was done to change out one of the accessories in the bathroom... they really had no obligation to but they did anyway. There were definitely some hiccups, like in all projects, but it helped a lot that they were responsive, flexible, and communicative. I never felt like they were trying to nickel and dime us or recommend something outside of our interests.

From start to finish, everything went smoothly and exceeded our expectations. Umid and the entire team were professional, courteous, and clearly experienced. Communication was consistent throughout the project, and they were always responsive to any questions or concerns we had. Most importantly, the final result is fantastic--our kitchen looks beautiful and functions even better than we imagined. we are extremely satisfied with their work and would highly recommend Cotfort Residential Remodeling to anyone considering a home renovation.

Within a week Sheryl had an estimate as well as a plan on our kitchen possibilities. We quickly decided to go with Advance Home Improvement based on the following things: 1. Sheryl is conscientious and pays attention to detail. 2. We would not have to deal with coordinating sub-contractors. 3. Everything could be handled within one company. Once we committed, we worked with head designer, Caroline, and Alyssa who worked on the overall layout and look. Caroline did a wonderful job of guiding us through our choices in materials and colors. Their showroom gave me tangible samples of materials. One of my main goals was to be able to open the existing shutters above the sink. Mission accomplished with sink choice and faucet placement!!! I could always count on a text the evening before from the project manager, Mark, for the daily activities. Marc, the foreman, never hesitated to check with me on my preferences and his crew was professional, polite, and on time. The crew always left the site tidy at the end of the day. So happy with the results and that the crux of the project was within the projected 6 to 8 weeks! I highly recommend Advanced Home Improvement for your remodeling needs!!!

Caroline took the lead on design and after a few iterations, we got on the same page. When it finally came time for demo and construction, I got to meet Ellen and Marc. Anytime I had a question, Ellen responded with alacrity and thoroughness. Marc and the rest of the crew were great craftsmen, professional, and polite. (Marc's also got a good sense of humor. I caught Marc singing a Backstreet Boys song one day and had a good laugh with him. Ask him to sing for you.) The crew was timely in their arrivals and always left things tidy at the end of the day. That's not to say that everything in the process was smooth--there were puzzling miscommunications from time to time and minor details to fix toward the end. But, considering some horror stories I've heard from others, these small frustrations pale in comparison.

My kitchen needed to be rebuilt after some significant water damage. The water remediation company and all contractors who quoted me warned me that handling my quartz backsplash had a significant risk of breakage. Vadim and Akyl put it back in one piece (whew!). They also installed additional shelving that was not originally in the scope - super kind of them! There were a couple of areas that required floor-to-ceiling shelving installation (with lighting), drywall replacement, and some termite damage remediation. All of this work was also done with care. For the drywall - the paint texture and color beautifully match the area - I cannot tell where the repair was made. Finally, the electrician did a great job putting in an additional socket and fixing paired light switches that weren't working together properly. The whole job took a couple of weeks, and it was a pleasure to have the crew in our house. Neighborhood Construction is now my go-to general contractor and I definitely plan to hire them again for additional jobs in my home.

Neighborhood construction was the best experience we had in any remodel hands down. Highly recommend! They handled the whole remodel very professionally, thoroughly, and with solid communication along the way. We are in Pacifica (further from their normal area), so the first quote was via Zoom - perfect efficiency. We also scaled down from pocket door back to swing in door, and that actually *lowered* the price from their original quote. All pricing was very fair and transparent. I appreciated guidance in picking out finishing materials. Akyl drove with me to help pick out materials near our house. For initial inspection (rough plumbing and electrical), either Akyl or Vadim came out. Majority of the work was done with the technicians on the ground (Sergei and Vitaliy) - very pleasant to work with. I appreciated the daily cleanup. They also let me know steps along the way. It was not a trivial project, removing a (non-load bearing) wall, but one that contained the pipes and original shower head. Ellis, who was communicating milestones and next steps, was easy to reach (by text, phone or email). For one day, when as part of the construction we had discovered roots in our sewer line and they had to coordinate with the plumber - she promptly communicated the wait, and additional estimate. Again, doing a big project in an older house (first floor was built in the 1940s), one expects small hiccups along the way. Yet, Neighborhood Construction made the process so smooth. Communicated clearly timelines, and followed through. Any additional quotes (existing issues with our roots in sewer) were very fairly priced, additional steps communicated. It was impressive to work with such a professional team. The team also handled the permitting with the city and inspections. Would highly recommended them to anyone else tackling a larger project. I would certainly be using them again in the future.

I reached out for a quote on the weekend, that Tuesday their team came in to complete drywall installation in my living room. I truly appreciate that it was a team that came in (versus 1 individual), this way the work was done quickly, letting me get one step closer to having my living room back, where sending 1 person could take several days. Based on the other reviews, that seems to be how they operate. Consistency works! One person came back Thursday, after the wall completely dried and he smoothed/sanded, so I can begin painting. Also worth mentioning was their customer service, Zuri communicated with me during the work, asking how it was going and ensuring I was satisfied. Zuri promptly settled my invoice and provided the requested documentation I needed. Super happy I went with Nan Construction...props to the team!
