Went to this place with no expectations. And I was so wrong. The venue is well taken care of, everything is clean and looks really modern. Sat at the sushi bar to be close to my food. The food was outstanding, the fish was fresh and tasty. Overall combination of flavor was on point for the roll I picked. The "chickin katsu" was one of the best chicken cutlets I have ever tasted. The finishing sauce had a distinct style that combined perfectly. And last but not least, the staff was super friendly. Even though my husband doesn't like sushi, I insisted to take him here last night as our date night. At beginning, he was not that impressed by interior design of restaurant as well as menu so I was the one placing orders. Our orders were : Shitake miso, Oysters Tempura, Shrimp Sundae, Hamachi Kama Yaki, Boston Spider Roll, Bikini Roll ,Oyster Mushroom Roll, Mango shrimp. One bite of shrimp sundae can tell it all, colorful, beautiful and delicious. The chef definitely know how to play the natural colors of the food, texture of each ingredient, and understand variety flavors of food so every dish creates a stunning art of plate presentation and it even tastes better than it looks. My husband was surprised by how fantastic flavor of each dish and platter presentation keeps him one bite after another. Michael, our server, is very attentive, polite and pleasant that left a big plus on our date night. (you don't want a rude server to ruin your night). We were visiting the area from NJ, and we're looking for a restaurant with good food, well we sure found it by eating at Bluefin. While the ambiance of the sterile corporate village is not great and sitting in a parking lot leaves much to be desired, the food and service sure made up for it. We ordered mostly small plates, so we had a diversity of dishes to enjoy. Since all our orders were small plates, they all came at once, so we dug in and tasted them all. WOW! Just WOW! Every bite hit a special note and was memorable. We will remember this dinner for many years to come. The dishes we had were: Wasabi-flavored Pork & Shrimp. Shumai (unusual); Miso eggplant (excellent); Salmon Ceviche (also tasty), Beef Spring Roll (Yummy); Sashimi Sundae ( Amazing!); Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno & lime juice (wow); and last but not least, Raspberry Ice Cream with Tempura Fried Bananas (absolutely delicious). I've been to this place twice now and both times I was somewhat disappointed. The first time we ate here was about 3 weeks ago and it was right after restaurants started seating again after covid. I appreciated that they wiped down the tables nicely and had hand sanitizer at each table. The prices are about 20-30% more than comparable sushi places in Philly but it's to be expected being in Chester County. However, what was mind boggling--they charged $3 per cup for tea refills. My husband and I were charged $12 for tea alone! We gave this place another chance today because I was craving sushi and we were in the area. But after another underwhelming and overpriced meal, I've decided we're not going back. It wasn't terrible, but certainly for the price they are very stingy with the portions. Each slice of sashimi was nearly translucent since it was quite thin. Overall, food is decent if you're craving sushi and have no other options. But I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. read more

We have been a great fan of Bluefin (starting with the Norristown location). The Eagleview location was a great addition. However, the last 4-5 visits have been progressively disappointing. Long waits to be seated (sometimes an hour after our reservation) and then even longer waits for a server to show up. Food quality and quantity have taken a hit while pricing has just gone up. Very sorry to see this happen to a place where we enjoyed so many great evenings. The manager is always unapologetic....accepting additional reservations, walk-in's and on-line orders when they simply don't have the ability to handle the workflow. Wonder who the owners are and how they plan to fix the issues. Won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Lots of things swimming in mayo and sticky sweet reductions and very little imagination or detail to the craft. I have not eating there yet. However, I made a reservation for my wife's birthday. I called them and told them that I had specially ordered a birthday cake and that I needed to drop it off early the day of the reservation. I can't tell you how much I appreciate them. I wanted to like this place as I love great sushi. We've been here about 5 times. Every time service kept getting worse. For restaurant of that price point they are completely ignorant when it comes to allergies. My son and husband are allergic to shellfish (anaphylactic type reaction). In this day and age it's mind blowing when you have a conversation with a waiter regarding seriousness of shellfish allergies they keep bringing it to you. It's very important to educate your staff about it...don't you think? It can cost somebody a life threatening reaction or even death. Tonight the restaurant was empty. It took 55 minutes to bring entries for my husband and I ( sashimi bowls).!Then we waited 24 more minutes for the salmon order for my son and at this point we asked for the check and decided to feed him at home. Whoever was on duty that day said "I wish manager was here" whatever that means...No attempt to reduce the bill or make any attempt to remediate the issue. Also, it was getting chilly outside ( with all that waiting) and we asked to turn on the heater...that was never done. Honestly, I am shocked at the customer service and poor management of the place. Food is generally pretty good although a bit overpriced but service is horrendous. We won't be coming again. read more

We love the sushi rolls of course, but we also order the beef spring rolls and the saba (from the specialty menu). I love the shitake miso soup too. This place is clean. I've ordered so many times from this excellent restaurant. Their sushi is extraordinary. This time I went their with some friends and they delivered best service and food like usual. Sake is not on their menu (I don't believe so) but you can always check if they have any in the kitchen. You can always bring your own drinks too since it is BYOB. We ordered a few different rolls and none is disappointing. We ordered grilled yellowtail cheek and beef avo maki for starter. Both were amazing. My favorite roll is Ai maki. A great addition to the area. Took my wife here for Valentine's Day dinner. We had a reservation and it was honored promptly despite the place being packed. We enjoyed our mushroom miso soups and shared 5 or six specialty rolls. All presented beautifully and left us satisfied. Server was polite, prompt and professional. Now the table to the next of us had the opposite experience and not sure it was a reflection on the place or the grumpy couple who complained about everything the second they sat down. They stormed out after appetizers complaining of food quality - which we didn't experience. Manager came over and apologized to us - even though we didn't have any issue but it seems they are still working through the teething pains having just opened this location. Came here last night and is definitely one of my new favorite sushi spots. We were greeted and sat right away and had a server come over with waters within the 1st minute. Our server was well versed in the menu and went over all the details as it was quite large and overwhelming. We ended up getting various sushi rolls and the sea bass and everything was extremely fresh as well as delicious. Also loved the ambiance of the place as it was modern but not too over the top. We got the Specialty Combo for lunch, & ordered the Oyster Mushroom Roll, the Meridian Roll, the Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll, & the California Roll. They all tasted great; however, the Meridian tasted the best. The layers of flavor & texture were like nothing I've tasted tasted before. It was incredible. The service was great, too. My daughter dropped her chop sticks, & within seconds our server was on her way with a replacement. We also appreciated Josh, the manager.
