Bluefin Eagleview is hands down one of the best sushi restaurants I've been to in my entire life. Granted, I'm only in my 30s, but I've been dining at sushi restaurants since I was 9 years old! AND I'm from NYC so there's a lot of competition out there. Let's begin at the front of the house. The hostess/manager, Jenny, is absolutely amazing. She is the sweetest and kindest hostess/manager I've ever encountered at ANY restaurant I've been to. The first time I made a reservation for Bluefin, I put in the comments that I was coming with my 5 year old son who is special needs (ASD/ADHD) but he is well behaved so he wouldn't be that much of a problem (sometimes...he does get a bit excited when we go out, but he's still chill!). When we arrived, Jenny was so warm and welcoming! She placed us in a corner table, which was perfect because there is low traffic in that area (less stimulation for my son). My son now refers to Jenny as his "sister" and whenever it's time to go he gets upset because he wants his "sister" to come with us! Funny enough, whenever Jenny comes by the table, he gets very quiet and smiles a lot and speaks very low. He may have a crush on her...idk. Ok, now let's talk about the staff. All of the waiters and waitresses are kind and attentive. What I will say is, Bluefin needs more staff. It gets really busy on Fridays. I prefer to avoid Friday visits because I don't want to bother anyone. But, everyone is doing the best they can. Even Jenny helps out by taking orders and serving food! Everybody on the team is so patient with me and my son and I appreciate that. And I - in turn - am patient with them. If it's busy, I'm not catching an attitude like other patrons, I'm just chillin' because I know they'll get to me when they have time. I don't want them to rush and get things mixed up or drop anything. During our past two visits, we had this really sweet young man who was very nice and attentive and convinced me to get one of the pricy special rolls...it was WELL WORTH IT! That leads me to the food. First of all, the pieces are so yummy! One order is two pieces. I typically get salmon belly sushi (pictured - which I don't believe is on the menu, so if you want it you must ask), toro (either chutoro or otoro), and unagi. They all MELT IN YOUR MOUTH. So delicious! My son typically gets shumai as a starter and a dragon roll or shrimp tempura roll. He's now starting to eat pieces so I order him unagi but he steals my toro all the time! On occasion I get uni. Uni is expensive in general so I get it only when I'm absolutely craving it. The uni is so fresh! I said the pieces melt, but the uni LITERALLY MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH AS SOON AS IT HITS YOUR TONGUE! Sheesh. Absolutely excellent. The chef (sometimes if you're lucky) sends over yummy gifts. Recently he sent over some seared mexican tuna (I think that's what it was). It was thin slices of heaven! In the past, Chef sent over some salmon that had like blue cheese and mango on it (pictured), lord. I didn't even think all those flavors went together! THAT NEEDS TO BE ON THE MENU!!!! They also have yummy desserts, but I'm typically too full to get them! All in all, Bluefin Eagleview is worth the wait and money! Don't sleep on this gem! (next time I go, I'll take better pictures!) read more

My parents and I were in the mood for sushi, so I suggested we check out Bluefin--we hadn't been yet. The service was impeccable; our waiter was attentive and gave recommendations and seemed happy to be serving. The sanitation and cleanliness was great. The ambiance was great. The crunchy parts of the sushi (like panko/tempura flakes) tasted like actual wood. It was so disappointing. Maybe they were stale? Some pieces tasted fine, but others there was too dominating of this wood taste. I personally did not eat the leftovers we took home. I see how highly rated Bluefin is, and everything else was great. So I want to try again some time. read more

Much like the other reviews, Bluefin Eagleview is definitely the best sushi restaurant in the Exton area. It's tucked away in the Eagleview TownCenter and is a very happening place on a Friday night. Having been to the Bluefin in East Norriton, expectations were and met! Me and my friend got the Mango Shrimp to start and the Chirashi Bowl. Mango Shrimp was fried just right and sauce was great. For the main course...the Chirashi Bowl. 15 piece sashimi over sushi rice. One of the most freshest and best tasting fish I've had in a while! Seriously one of the best dishes in Chester County! Service was great and attentive (though it helped the guy who was our server was a friend). It's still relatively new, but will be coming back for sure! New sushi spot of Exton! read more

Went to this place with no expectations. And I was so wrong. The venue is well taken care of, everything is clean and looks really modern. Sat at the sushi bar to be close to my food. The food was outstanding, the fish was fresh and tasty. Overall combination of flavor was on point for the roll I picked. The "chickin katsu" was one of the best chicken cutlets I have ever tasted. The finishing sauce had a distinct style that combined perfectly. And last but not least, the staff was super friendly. They accommodated all of my needs, and made sure everything was good on my side. Kudos to them for making me feel like a regular, while I was just there for the first time. I will totally come back read more

Food was alright and the service was less than average as the wait despite the reservation was too long. The ambience is below average.

Best sushi around. I used to go to the bluefin in east norriton and this is very close to as good. The chefs also sometimes send you fun new tastes for you to enjoy. read more

The best and the freshest sushi in this area. I am very particular about sushi, and it is very good. The price is not cheap but it worth every pennies. read more

Grab a bottle of wine and enjoy a great meal. Highly recommended. Great and friendly ownership.

Even though my husband doesn't like sushi, I insisted to take him here last night as our date night. At beginning, he was not that impressed by interior design of restaurant as well as menu so I was the one placing orders. Our orders were : Shitake miso, Oysters Tempura, Shrimp Sundae, Hamachi Kama Yaki, Boston Spider Roll, Bikini Roll ,Oyster Mushroom Roll, Mango shrimp. One bite of shrimp sundae can tell it all, colorful, beautiful and delicious. The chef definitely know how to play the natural colors of the food, texture of each ingredient, and understand variety flavors of food so every dish creates a stunning art of plate presentation and it even tastes better than it looks. My husband was surprised by how fantastic flavor of each dish and platter presentation keeps him one bite after another. Michael, our server, is very attentive, polite and pleasant that left a big plus on our date night. (you don't want a rude server to ruin your night). There is no Japanese restaurant like Bluefin in PA. (yes, I said it, it is even better than Sagami in NJ) read more

I've been to this place twice now and both times I was somewhat disappointed. The first time we ate here was about 3 weeks ago and it was right after restaurants started seating again after covid. I appreciated that they wiped down the tables nicely and had hand sanitizer at each table. The prices are about 20-30% more than comparable sushi places in Philly but it's to be expected being in Chester County. However, what was mind boggling--they charged $3 per cup for tea refills. My husband and I were charged $12 for tea alone! We gave this place another chance today because I was craving sushi and we were in the area. But after another underwhelming and overpriced meal, I've decided we're not going back. It wasn't terrible, but certainly for the price they are very stingy with the portions. Each slice of sashimi was nearly translucent since it was quite thin. Overall, food is decent if you're craving sushi and have no other options. But I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. read more

We have been a great fan of Bluefin (starting with the Norristown location). The Eagleview location was a great addition. However, the last 4-5 visits have been progressively disappointing. Long waits to be seated (sometimes an hour after our reservation) and then even longer waits for a server to show up. Food quality and quantity have taken a hit while pricing has just gone up. Very sorry to see this happen to a place where we enjoyed so many great evenings. The manager is always unapologetic....accepting additional reservations, walk-in's and on-line orders when they simply don't have the ability to handle the workflow. Wonder who the owners are and how they plan to fix the issues. Won't be going back anytime soon. read more

This restaurant is at the top of sushi places on most Chester County lists, and it deserves it. First of all, the menu features all of the greats, the rice on our rolls is always fresh, the staff remembers and takes good care of their regulars, and the outdoor seating options in the spring/summer are very enjoyable. In the winter, the bibimbap pot warms you right up, and the sometimes pricey sushi is balanced by the no-fee BYO option! Check it out! read more

My husband and I come here about twice a month. The service is outstanding and the food is exceptional! We love the sushi rolls of course, but we also order the beef spring rolls and the saba (from the specialty menu). I love the shitake miso soup too. This place is clean. If ever I go to a restaurant and the bathroom is less than clean, I never return. Plus, Jenny is a friendly soul there, and she cares about the customers. If you like Japanese food, you should try it. It's not the cheapest or the most expensive - it's just worth it! read more

Food was phenomenal, looved the service and quality. Friendly atmosphere love the people who work here so kind, smiling faces. New favorite place to eat delicious sushi! read more

I wanted to like this place as I love great sushi. We've been here about 5 times. Every time service kept getting worse. For restaurant of that price point they are completely ignorant when it comes to allergies. My son and husband are allergic to shellfish (anaphylactic type reaction). In this day and age it's mind blowing when you have a conversation with a waiter regarding seriousness of shellfish allergies they keep bringing it to you. It's very important to educate your staff about it...don't you think? It can cost somebody a life threatening reaction or even death. Tonight the restaurant was empty. It took 55 minutes to bring entries for my husband and I ( sashimi bowls).!Then we waited 24 more minutes for the salmon order for my son and at this point we asked for the check and decided to feed him at home. Whoever was on duty that day said "I wish manager was here" whatever that means...No attempt to reduce the bill or make any attempt to remediate the issue. Also, it was getting chilly outside ( with all that waiting) and we asked to turn on the heater...that was never done. Honestly, I am shocked at the customer service and poor management of the place. Food is generally pretty good although a bit overpriced but service is horrendous. We won't be coming again. read more

I have not eating there yet. However, I made a reservation for my wife's birthday. I called them and told them that I had specially ordered a birthday cake and that I needed to drop it off early the day of the reservation. I can't tell you how much I appreciate them. They went well beyond what I anticipated. It wasn't just the fact that they let me do it. It was the way that I was spoken to that assured me that this cake (which was expensive) is going to be handled with care. So impressed. I can't wait to eat there read more

Very fresh fish, probably the best sushi you can get in the Chester County area. Staff is friendly and ambiance is nice. Prices may seem high but it's worth the quality of sushi you are getting. Don't forget it's BYOB so make sure to bring your own wine. If you want a quieter experience, ask to sit in front or middle of restaurant. It's much louder in the back because of the small room acoustics. read more

Love the ambience at Blue Fin. Not overly loud even when busy. The food choices are great, way more than sushi on the menu. Try the stone pot dish. It's so good! read more

Jenny makes this place run, and she is the best. Menu is creative and good quality. Only issue is it's expensive. The price keeps it from being a consistent spot for me, but when I'm in the mood for sushi and willing to splurge on price, I often find myself at Bluefin in Eagleview. You won't find a friendlier staff. read more

I know it is not for every one who may be looking for a quick grab of pre made sushi at Wegmans for $7 but if you want a truly fresh and delicious feast prepared by seasoned masters, welcome to Blue Fin of Exton. It took a couple of weeks for them to get in gear after they opened but they are running on all cylinders. Always fresh and you can really taste each ingredient and layer in the food. Well done. Sushi was delicious and portions was generous. Service was great staff very friendly. Place was clean.

I've ordered so many times from this excellent restaurant. Their sushi is extraordinary. This time I went their with some friends and they delivered best service and food like usual. Sake is not on their menu (I don't believe so) but you can always check if they have any in the kitchen. You can always bring your own drinks too since it is BYOB. We ordered a few different rolls and none is disappointing. We ordered grilled yellowtail cheek and beef avo maki for starter. Both were amazing. My favorite roll is Ai maki. Love the grilled eel on top. This place is a hidden gem in Eagleview town center. read more

Definitely glad to have a Bluefin closer than E Norriton or Bala! The highest quality creative sushi and classic sashimi. Sushi rice is A+. Fish silky delicious. Excellent server. It's more $$$ than most suburban sushi places. It's worth it!! read more

A great addition to the area. Took my wife here for Valentine's Day dinner. We had a reservation and it was honored promptly despite the place being packed. We enjoyed our mushroom miso soups and shared 5 or six specialty rolls. All presented beautifully and left us satisfied. Server was polite, prompt and professional. Now the table to the next of us had the opposite experience and not sure it was a reflection on the place or the grumpy couple who complained about everything the second they sat down. They stormed out after appetizers complaining of food quality - which we didn't experience. Manager came over and apologized to us - even though we didn't have any issue but it seems they are still working through the teething pains having just opened this location. Will definitely return and recommend. read more

Came here last night and is definitely one of my new favorite sushi spots. We were greeted and sat right away and had a server come over with waters within the 1st minute. Our server was well versed in the menu and went over all the details as it was quite large and overwhelming. We ended up getting various sushi rolls and the sea bass and everything was extremely fresh as well as delicious. Also loved the ambiance of the place as it was modern but not too over the top. Would recommend this place to any sushi fan! Also it's BYOB! read more

Haven't been here for a while and I am happy to say it's still as good as ever. Sushi, Sashimi and rolls are top notch.

Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff, and of course...great sushi! Highly recommend if you're in the area.

The staff here are unmatched--truly the best I think I've ever experienced. Food was amazing. Will definitely be back.

This sushi is amazing! It's always very fresh, with solid portions. They also do an excellent job with minimal contact for pick up. And I cannot speak highly enough about Jenny, the manager there. Talk about AMAZING customer service!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Highly recommend! read more

We went here twice for the omakase experience and it didn't disappoint! We did 9 courses and everything was so fresh. The raw sushi courses were amazing as well as the hot entree courses. Wish I had pictures of the courses, will update when we visit again :) read more

We visited because they were able to accommodate my daughter's peanut allergies, but were thrilled that not only could they accommodate, the food was delicious & the service was terrific. We got the Specialty Combo for lunch, & ordered the Oyster Mushroom Roll, the Meridian Roll, the Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll, & the California Roll. They all tasted great; however, the Meridian tasted the best. The layers of flavor & texture were like nothing I've tasted tasted before. It was incredible. The service was great, too. My daughter dropped her chop sticks, & within seconds our server was on her way with a replacement. We also appreciated Josh, the manager. He was very friendly & went out of his way to be sure were well taken care of. All in all, we were very pleased & will definitely return. read more

Very friendly people, fish was fresh and tasty. Takeout tempura is never as good as eat-in, so I won't hold that against them. A little pricey as sushi goes. They put wasabi in the middle of the nigiri for some unknown reason which ruined it completely. read more

Stopped in for lunch, very good high quality sushi! They have sushi I have never even heard of. And it was delicious!

Dined here several times. Started out excellent and rose to wonderful. Plenty of cooked and sushi items too numerous to mention. The manager Jenny is a sweetheart.
