My home's water pressure had also been high for years, which EBMUD confirmed was my responsibility to fix. I had recently been through a layoff, and the financial pressure of maintaining a mortgage while facing multiple expensive repairs was a real concern. High water pressure eventually wears out seals and causes catastrophic damage, so I knew I had to use my emergency fund to find a plumber who would get the job done right. He quoted a reasonable price compared to other vendors and was willing to work within my budget. He immediately chose a 1" manifold design to match the main service line--rather than a value-engineered 1/2" design--and even worked with me to relocate my hose bibb to a more accessible height so I wouldn't have to stoop. He did an outstanding (and quick) job installing a new 1-inch copper manifold and a double-union PRV, relocating the hose bibb, and getting my house back to a reasonable 65 PSI, which will save me time, money, and tears. Willy went above and beyond. While on-site for the quote, I mentioned the issue with the Rinnai heater. Willy knew exactly why the seal was failing (likely due to that high water pressure) and offered to coordinate the warranty replacement parts from Rinnai on my behalf. He called their service department, had the parts shipped to him, and came back after the PRV install the following week to perform the tankless repair. I was truly impressed and grateful. His honesty and skill are what I've been looking for since purchasing my home in 2018, and I'm happy to have finally found my go-to local plumber. When they couldn't reach the clog from the front yard cleanout, they used the rear cleanout in a very tight bathroom space without damaging any finishes (the cabinet and toilet were within inches of their snake). Nov 2024 - 9am after school dropoff , came home to a frightening disaster. Kitchen sink backup caused water and gunk to spew up into 2 bath sinks, 1 tub, and my washing machine extraction line. Water puddling the floors and cabinets. Called Wily, who had installed water heater 5yrs ago. He was calming and arrived within 30 mins. Thankfully, he quickly assessed the situation by checking the front yard cleanout with yard hose on high, tested inside drains with full hot water, took 20-30 mins to inform me that he cleared the line(s) and all looked back to normal & good. Of course, my mind had been reeling with thoughts of backhoes digging up my yard. Wily reassured, explained and demonstrated the lines cleared and what likely occured to cause the mess. Uncommonly reasonable cost for this visit considering these disasters cannot ever be planned, wow. He recommended a new $12 cleanout cap for that line too which I can get and screw on myself.
