I used this cleaner many times in the past. They did a okay job on dress shirts and dry cleaning suits. I made the mistake of taking a $1200 men's suit (that I bought on a sale) to them for tailoring. They couldn't even sew the buttons on the sleeves properly. Many other problems with the tailoring with the pants and coat. I took the suit back twice. Each time I was given attitude because I refused their request to have the suit dry-cleaned. The last time the owner said he would take my $1200 suit to an outside tailor that he knew, but i didn't wanted to roll the dice and it seemed like I'd have to pay (again). read more

This place destroyed 3 silk shirts, then had the audacity to place blame on my dog! (because I often bring my dog with me). They also would not take ownership of the work that they so sloppily did. Stating that they didn't even clean the shirt( because of how ruined it was). Dry cleaners may be a dime a dozen but it's sometimes hard to find a place that has both good service and congenial staff. Blue Sky is a great place that I was able to find and became my place to get my clothes dry cleaned and laundered. They do very detailed work here. One time, I came to pick up my dry cleaning and Juan, the owner, noticed that there was still a stain on one of my shirts so he said he would keep it and detail it some more to remove the stain. I've also had sleeves to one of my jackets shortened and they did a pretty good job. When I first moved to Redondo Beach about 2.5 years ago I really wanted to find a dry cleaner that was good but that I also felt at home going to. After around ten different places, I have definitely found what I was looking for at Blue Sky. Juan is a great guy and has gone out of his way on more than one account to accommodate me. For instance, today I was almost back in the area driving home from work. I called Juan telling him that I was running late, asking if he could stay open a couple of minutes until I got there. Even though he apparently had somewhere to be (on time), he actually waited and even brought my perfectly hemmed jeans out to me to expedite since I was holding him up. As for quality, the first time I went into Blue Sky was following a hospital visit. I was jumped by a couple of guys at a bar the night before and my white dress shirt was COVERED in blood. The blood had been dry for at least 12 hours and in a Hail Mary attempt, I brought Juan the shirt. I don't know how he did it, but the next time I saw it, it was as white (and blood free) as the day I bought it. If you're looking for a great dry cleaner, give this place a shot. It's very hard to find a really great dry cleaner and I've used cleaners from budget joints charging $1.25 to $6.00 for pants or shirt. Blue Sky Cleaners are not the cheapest in town but they're reasonable AND they provide impeccable, yes impeccable, service. Here's why I LOVE these guys: 1 - no language barrier; they speak and understand English well 2 - they greet me with a smile and seem genuinely glad to have my business 3 - my clothes come back super clean. They've gotten out some tough stains and I've only sent back one pair of pants because they were creased where I wanted them without a crease 4 - for the price, they're a really good value. Zero hassles, virtually zero returns, and zero losses. Recently, I got a call from them telling me they couldn't clean a garment because the color would bleed and ruin the lighter parts of the outfit... I was floored. It was a brand new outfit my girlfriend recently bought at a cheap boutique and I was glad they knew enough and took care to let me know instead of throwing caution to the wind and ruining the outfit. After a handful of visits they also became familiar with which pants I want creased and which I don't. Alterations have been smooth and reasonably priced as well. Wow, I'm surprised there aren't more reviews on this place. Had to get two pants hemmed (jeans and work pants) in a hurry.... Like next day hurry. It's right next to Cardio Barre, which I go to 2-3 times a week, so I thought it would simplify my life if I just went here for dry cleaning and alterations. Juan is there whenever I have been in and he's a gem!! I explained to him my rush situation, and even though the seamstress's car broke down, he reassured me that it would still be done the next day...and it was!! We even chatted about my graduation from nursing school - he even paused for a moment to think if he knew anyone who worked at torrance memorial or Little company of mary. Lol, so sweet!! Best part of my day was hemmed pants cost $6 here!!! I think this place is still new or something because there aren't racks and racks of clothes everywhere. I LOVE it because I have the tendency of leaving my dry clean clothes until 2 days before an important event, and usually need my dresses/pants/shirts dry cleaned right away. I can't have my dry cleaning person tell me no on next day dry cleaning. I just need it done and I'm confident that this place will accommodate any requests. I'm fairly new to the area and finding a good quality dry cleaner is very important to me. I scoured through yelp looking for establishments that are close to me and with a good rating. I settled on trying five different cleaners and rated them on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best) on a list of attributes I think are important. Wish there could be a zero option , I got my brand new converse dirty and wanted to get them cleaned so I came here. He said he could do them multiple times and he said yes all times. Customer Service = A++++ Juan and everyone at Blue Sky Cleaners are my life savers. Not once, but twice I needed last minute alterations and they have always come through and delivered a perfectly altered dress that doesn't drag or fall apart and makes me look amazing! Their prices are competitive and honestly, for a last minute request and needing a 4-5 hour turnaround, they never charge last minute fees. They are always honest and extremely helpful. There's a small changing area to slip on and off your clothes and Juan is very professional and helpful to get your measurements just right. I haven't met the alterations person yet but she miraculously appears after I leave and is gone by the time I come back. Juan is very careful with his promise times and he so far has never over promised. He always beats his timing by hours. One time I came in at 9:30am and he said that the dress would be ready by 5pm. He called me at 1pm and said we're good to go. Amazing! My fiance also brings his dress shirts and suits here for dry cleaning and they always do a great job. Everything is pressed, crisp and smelling great. He's never been disappointed or complained about their work or service. When I dropped my clothes off the first time, they requested my cell number. I soon learned why...the owner sent a couple pictures of my husband's shirt that had a small hole & was missing a button and asked if we would like to have it repaired. Yes please! Wow! I was blown away! They really care about my garments & go the extra mile while charging competitive prices! I went in to get my long wool coat dry cleaned after a chilly trip in London. It had tons of lint and I'm sure some beer splotches from the pubs.
