This is a really nice and efficient business. They launder and dry clean on premises which is important to me (some other places have allowed their laundry to be picked up by unknown workers and actually taken to public coin laundries). What set this business apart from others is their attitude and customer service. The first time you bring in laundry they give you a bag with a personalized tag identifying the contents to a particular customer). They keep you informed by text message when the laundry is ready for pick up. I guess I've been there frequently enough that they know my name when I walk in. I've dealt with many laundries over the years and this is the first time this happens. And they really thank their customers for their patronage. There are occasional specials and deals that are delivered by text message and in person. I've taken advantage of many of these and appreciate the savings. One of the best is occasional comforter washing for $27, about half price from the regular charge. That definitely gets my business. They also repair clothing and accepts leather goods for cleaning by one of their partners. I get occasional ads stating they do shoe repair and cleaning, and even purses. Parking if available directly outside their business. Most times parking is conveniently located. They also deliver locally but, frankly I've never used this service as my availability at home is not great. But for others it's a good idea, especially for those who don't drive or need the convenience. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Still no phone call or apology every offered from this place half a year later. Avoid this place. They damaged $600 of very expensive high end dress shirts of mine. Look at some of the negative reviews here on yelp and also look for the ones where they tried to hide. Filter on google for just the bad reviews and see how many bad comments that get hidden and how the daughter responds to people who leave negative reviews. I have never seen such poor customer service from a business then what the daughter displays. Their inflated good reviews are because they bug you through text message to leave a good review for discounted prices in the future. The daughter here was a nightmare to deal with and one of the shadiest business practices I have seen from a business. She completely ruined 3 very expensive brand named shirts and tried to blame it on me and the shirts themselves. Just look at their replies and how they take no accountability and try to blame the customer for their mistakes and incompetence. I left a very detailed review of my experience here on Google as well you can go back and look at it from October of last year and of course through here. Watch the daughter reply to this message. Oh also they put permanent adhesive bar codes on all your clothes and they try to hide it where you would never find it so check all your clothes if you drop it off here. I'm guessing they use this as an inventory tracking system and have probably ran into a lot of issues in the past because they can't keep up with all their items and don't know what they are doing. Avoid this place unless you want them to potentially ruin your clothes or if you want to deal with a nightmare of a manager if your clothes gets damaged and they won't take any accountability for it or if you want permanent adhesive bar codes hidden on your clothes that they never tell you about. Who the hell puts permanent bar codes on your clothes? Don't you think you should ask the customer if this is ok before you do it and not try to hide it so they will never find out? DUH?! This is some rookie stuff and I can only imagine this place is in over their head by doing something as idiotic as this. Do you think a customer wants your stupid bar code on their clothes that they paid good money for? If they ruin your clothes I suggest you take them to small claims court and leave a bad review through the Better Business Bureau and also contact the Redondo Beach city to report their poor business practices. There are much better dry cleaners out there so avoid this one. If you are looking for a cleaner to go to read the bad reviews not just the good ones and go through the history and see how the owners respond to customer complaints. If you read through some of the bad reviews on either Yelp or Google you will see how nasty the daughter is in her behavior.. extremely defensive, tries to blame the customer, even threatens that they have video footage of you. Creepy much? The daughter here has zero empathy, terrible customer service, manipulative and had some serious personality issues. I never received one apology for them ruining my clothes instead just excuses, deflection and trying to paint me out to be the bad guy when they ruined my clothes lmao. Let me guess both my Hugo Boss and Theory dress shirts had manufacturing issues right? LMAO. Funny I wash the Theory shirts all the time at home and never had an issue. My good stuff like formal dress , cardigans,etc at least 5 pieces and I dropped it on a Tuesday morning and they had it ready for me on Thursday. Prices are good. They did an amazing job. I recently tried this cleaners. The 1st couple of times my clothes and hats were fine. However, the most recently, the red color on my Arsenal Beanie, bled into the white stripes and my shirt had 3 snags on it. I have washed this shirt in my washing machine, and it didn't get any snags. I spoke to the manager, but she was not helpful. She didn't apologize or offer any compensation; she just made excuses for what happened to my clothing. As Millennials continue to take over the majority of the workforce, times are changing and businesses need to adapt to the 'convenience' lifestyle that we love. Classic cleaners does this. Auvied helped me out initially and he was super helpful and friendly. He let me know how the whole free pickup/ delivery process would go and made it a breeze. Our home in Lomita is their Tuesday/ Friday route so he picked up Tuesday and Douglas (also super friendly and helpful guy) dropped it off on Friday. They provided two bags for me, one for clean and one for dirty. I was also provided a free door hanger (unfortunately for our door it doesn't work since there's not enough space at the top of the doorway for it to close, but it's the thought that counts). All in all, the price was extremely fair - especially with no added fees for the pickup/ delivery. The process was quick and painless. Being a customer over a year and thought I found a decent dry clean store. Took many designer clothing there to dry clean and never had an issue. Until i accidentally left cufflinks on the one of my Dior shirt and found them missing after I picked up the shirt. I immediately went to the store in person and spoke to the owner, promised to call back but never did. One of worker claimed that he took it off and put them in a bag to stable onto the hanger? Oh man... Fist time/last time customer. I took the plastic wrap off my two garments and noticed first, the spot I pointed out was still there. Ok. Second, my skirt was hung by safety pins that left holes on the cotton sateen. Thirdly, both my items now have permanent barcode labels hot pressed onto the fabric! One was on the back of the label, the other was pressed into the waistband! I never consented to this type of labeling! When I went in to ask them to remove it, the employee was rude AF, telling me I'm the only one who's ever complained. Said "ALL dry cleaners do this" (that's not true) and they could not remove it without damaging the garment. Are you serious?? You think this is how to do business? Final alteration was subpar at best. No ownership of issues. Needed this for a trip and couldnt take them up on offer to redo it a 3rd time. Not a single apology both times for the inconvenience. Only excuses that no alterations are perfect and that no one would look that closely at their poor craftsmanship. BE WARNED!! So I took in my $500+ comforter that was imported from Japan for dry cleaning. It was a little soiled after my dog stepped on her own urine then jumped on the bed. Classic was unsuccessful getting the comforter cleaned by dry cleaning, so without even contacting me or getting my approval, they laundered it causing irreparable damage (shrinking, fading, shifting, lumping). None of this was mentioned when I picked up the item. After returning home and seeing the damage, I reached out to Classic to see what could be done to resolve this issue. After getting a bunch of excuses, Classic was unwilling to do ANYTHING to rectify this situation and wouldn't even acknowledge the damage they caused. Simply put, Classic laundered something that shouldn't have been laundered without receiving my permission first and was unwilling to admit or correct the issue. Since it is clear as day that this was Classic's fault and responsibility, I will be taking them to small claims court. But it is truly unfortunate that this simple issue couldn't be resolved more amicably. read more

I am disappointed in Classic Cleaners and will not be returning. I have taken shirts here to be cleaned and pressed a few times and did not have any issues, but after this last trip, I don't want to deal with this business anymore. I took about eight shirts in; the majority were men's, but two were women's. However, they were all the classic collared, button-down style. I told him they were all just "shirts" and instead of talking to me about them or asking more, he just rang up the receipt and handed it to me. I was a bit skeptical on how he was going to charge me, so I looked at the receipt and saw that he was charging me for six blouses and two shirts ("blouses" are more expensive than "shirts"). I asked him why he did that and he said the "blouses" have to be ironed by hand. I told him I have brought these exact shirts here before and that was not the case; I did not need them hand-ironed. He insisted that I was wrong, that they would not fit on their machine, and he acted annoyed. I took my clothes back and left. I wonder if my husband brought the shirts if he would be charged for "blouses." read more

If I could give them negative stars, I would. They are cheats, liars, ruin your clothes and are just overall horrible people. One of the worst experiences I've had with a service provider. I dropped off 4 very expensive jackets to be cleaned. None of them had visible stains on the front when they were left. Upon pick up, 2 of the jackets had very visible stains on the front, that looked like grease stains. They tried recleaning them and could not get them out. They were not only unapologetic, but they someone blamed me as stains can "come out in the dry cleaning process"?! They not only charged me for the full dry cleaning amount (hundreds of dollars) but were combative and I was told they have no "stain policy". Then when I disputed the charge with AMEX, they send AMEX letters blatantly lying about what had happened. UNBELIEVABLE. So I guess if you want to bring them perfectly good clothes to ruin, pay for the pleasure and then somehow have them tell you it's your fault, then this is your cleaner. Otherwise I'd highly recommend finding one of the many other cleaners in the area. read more

Since their north Torrance location closed, I am now coming to this dry cleaners close to home. It's a short drive down the hill, and it sits at the border of PV, south Torrance, and Redondo Beach. I came in here the other day, and saw some familiar faces. The workers rotate to different locations, and some I haven't seen in a while. The prices here are great, and they are super convenient. If you like mistakes and bad attitudes this is the place for you. I brought in a pair of $150 pants to get hemmed into shorts. Owner and I (looks like middle eastern Ben Kingsley) discussed what I wanted: a long pair of shorts. What I received was basically denim underwear. I went in to talk to him about it. He told me it was all my fault and there was nothing he would do to fix it. He said it's not fair that my communication error would cost him or his seamstress money. We literally stood there and pinned the shorts to the length I wanted. I've never heard of a business owner blaming a customer for their error. Also owner said that posting on yelp won't affect his amazing 35 year business. Way to bully a customer.
