They were able to get stains out of my satin dress! Great location, friendly service, and fair prices.

I would NOT RECOMMEND dry cleaning a blanket here. I dropped off a beautiful throw blanket and when I got it back it smelled like a wet dog/ horrible mildew smell. I took it back to them and they claimed "they could not smell anything"??? They seem to be the only people who can't smell the stench that was not there ever before. Feeling sad and disappointed. Hope this won't happen to anyone else. read more

They did my weighted blanket and it was relatively cheap and smelled amazing. They are very kind and professional. I plan on taking all my comforters there. read more

i dropped off my beautiful $800 jacket and when they gave it back to me they had somehow ripped off the inside pocket covers, clasps and everything. i was shocked when i brought it back and asked them what happened and the manager stated it was an old jacket! No offer to replace or fix it. Now I am warning all my friends about this unbelievably awful service. Don't go there! They destroyed my dress jacket and told me too bad. They should be shut down for this kind of behavior. read more

They do what they say they can do in the specified timeframe. They have a cool clothing carousel you can watch as they pull up your order. This is a business you should support. Nice people. They even have drive-through! read more

I have been bringing my shirts and dry cleaning here for many years. I was referred here by a custom shirt guy, Danny, who raved about the great equipment this place has. Maybe it's the equipment or maybe it's the great staff but I love the way they launder my shirts! Whether a dress shirt or a pretty sports shirt, my shirts always look great. The dry cleaning and pressing is first rate, too. read more

One of the best dry cleaners I've been to. My clothes have always come back to me fresh and clean. My family has been using Riviera Quality Cleaners since 1988! (And when it changed ownership.) They have also mended and remove impossible stains from my clothes. My family and I highly recommend them! read more

No reason not to award five stars, except that I have been a customer only once so far. They did a beautiful job on some old embroidered curtains & some vintage pillow shams. Everything is done on site, of course, & the people are experienced, intelligent, professional & efficient. 4/4/07: Update: I am now a regular customer, and am upgrading to 5 stars. They are experienced and knowledgeable and take good care of my things. I am completely satisfied. read more

I have heard that this place can sew pretty good, so I decided to take a few hats in to see if they can sew a patch on. Boy, did I make a mistake. Not only was the patch not centered nor was it straight, they charged me an insane amount. I just don't understand how you can have an establishment that provides very bad service especially when it is VERY noticable. The one star is for the grandma in the back because she was super chill. read more

Riviera quality cleaners is the only place I go for dry cleaning! They are always prompt, kind and pricing is great. Patty is always helpful and welcoming, and never forgets my name. It makes it easy for them to be one of my favorite small businesses to support in the riviera village. The seamstress is also amazing and has done many adjustments for me. I always feel confident in leaving my most fragile and delicate articles of clothing at riviera quality cleaners, and for a perfectly fair price. Highly recommend read more

Needed shirts done same day and they came through. Patty was super nice. My only issue was the price.... $3.25 to launder a shirt is reg price. I pay 1.25 at my normal spot, .99 with a coupon. I asked if $3.25 was cuz it was same day and was told no, same price. I get it, I'm in the Riv, but let's be fair. They did a great job though, hence the five stars. And Patty was cool. I'll be back... read more

They claim to offer same day service, but when I went in at 8:30 am to drop off a shirt and pants and said I'd like to pay extra for same day, they said the earliest they could do was have it done by 9 am the next day. I guess 8+ hours isn't enough time for them to put two pieces in an automatic machine that dry cleans. My advice? Don't advertise same day if you can't do same day. It's false. Won't be coming back. read more

I love this place. I have used them for years and have never had any problems. The staff is always courteous and the prices are great. For example, I needed to get a twin comforter cleaned and two other places I called were charging $35 and $49. Riviera charges $18 for any size comforter. Why would you go any where else? read more

Riviera Quality Cleaners not only provides a great dry cleaning service but maintains a clean establishment. I do like that they maintain a clean environment because I don't want my dry cleaning done in a raggedy bum place. But as I walk in, I noticed how it is well maintained, unlike other shady cleaners that I have come to experience. The service was superb and the workers were accommodating, as well as experienced. They provided great hospitality and a consistent satisfying dry cleaning service. The accommodations here are what make me appreciate the quality of service and for my return to this fine establishment. The prices are standard or possibly better than other dry cleaning services. read more

I used to live in Redondo Beach and RQC was (is) my family's go-to cleaners. I don't even remember when or why we started going except growing up I just knew this was where we took our dry cleaning. I moved a few years ago for work, but still have family & friends in Cali...and this is going to sound so bazaar, but I actually hoard my really important dry cleaning and take it back to Cali with me every time I visit for family events and such (I'm there quite often). I know...I give you full permission to judge me. But there's a reason! I've started doing this with my real expensive garments because I just don't trust anywhere else! I'm actually writing this review because I had a bad experience at a cleaners in the neighborhood that I live in now, and was reminiscing the times when I used to take ALL of my dry-cleaning to RQC without even thinking. I'm actually surprised there are so many reviews on here already! I didn't even think RQC would've had a yelp page and I was going to create one for them :) I work in the fashion industry so the care of my clothes is really important to me (personally & professionally). RQC no doubt has the best quality & prices for their services. My family and I have gotten everything from embroidered tops, suits, delicate lace fabrics, stained garments, coats and alterations done at RQC and they have never failed us. Also, I'm pretty sure the cleaners is a family business run by a very cute local Korean family who truly makes an effort to create a very comfortable/trustworthy environment and relationship with their customers. Plus, I'm all for supporting the locals! Oh yea...did I mention they're a stone's throw from the beach and my favorite local coffee shop (coffee cartel)? P.S. Who knew I'd be so passionate about dry cleaning? HA! read more

Thank goodness for Riviera Quality Cleaners, seriously. I am not surprised by their good ratings on yelp. I am in charge of the white coats for my ER program. I am not just talking about one or two, but about 15 white coats that are difficult to manage. I had passed by this place many times because of it's convenient location on Avenue I, so while I got my Trader Joe's/errands on at the village, I decided to drop my coats off. The service was amaaaaaaaaazing and my coats looked brand new!! I was really debating if I should buy new ones (cost $40 coat). So of course I went crazy over this place and decided to get my important dresses altered. The alteration lady is so sweet and altered my dresses exactly the way I wanted them. The tricky thing about most cleaners I've been to is that sometimes your clothes will come out worse or not as good as you would expect. And c'mon, we do last minute dry cleaning/alteration for important events sometimes. The last thing you want is to not have a dress shirt/ dress look nice for that interview/wedding/etc. This place is DEPENDABLE. I am forever grateful. The people in my program love how awesome the coats are. I am happy with all my altered clothes and that I have somewhere to go to for quality and service. You can look no further for the best cleaners place: Riviera Quality Cleaners. read more

When I used to live in Torrance, this was my go to cleaners. Five stars for their same day service. If you take it in by 10am, it'll be done by 4pm the same day. Completely unheard of anywhere else! So don't be panicked when you've got a hot date the same night and stanky dresses that need to be dry cleaned or altered! And it doesn't hurt that their prices are totally reasonable and their service is great. read more

Finally, a place that irons bed sheets and doesn't charge a fortune. $15.00 for 2 sheets and 2 pillow cases. I think they actually send the sheets out. Also, good prices on alterations. I take everything here to be altered even though it's a bit of a drive for me. Can't complain about the cleaning either. Update 9/13/10--Had some issues with alterations over the summer so I am (hopefully temporarily) deducting a star. Their regular person was out indefinitely and I had to take something back several times. I'll give them another chance in this area because they did correct the problem and expedited the correction as I was traveling. Still liking the ironed sheets! read more

Just a really caring and amazing cleaner. Pam, who works the front is the coolest and kindest person. I came into get a suit tailored and was SO stoked to learn that it actually did not need additional tailoring. Her candor and fashion advice (what shoes to wear) was so appreciated. In the past I had pants and a blazer hemmed here and it came out perfect. As a dry-cleaner the clothes come out crisp and super clean without the chemical residue vibe. This will always be my go-to tailor and dry cleaner read more

I am always nervous when trying out new dry cleaners when I move anywhere. I didn't want to make the drive back to Irvine and tried Riviera out based on the reviews here. I brought in slacks and dress shirts to be cleaned. My clothes came back cleaned as pressed as I expected. My only gripe (which is a big one) is that they wrote my name on the front flap of my dress shirt. I know, I know, there was already a review with that gripe but I assumed they would have upgraded to the pins or stickers that everyone else seems to use now. When I brought this up to the lady, she said its how her sister likes to track things but that if I requested, that they would not do it next time. Kinda makes me nervous as to how they would track my clothes if they don't write on them. read more

I have been to many different cleaners before and this is my favorite one! We trust them with our best clothes and I love knowing that they can clean delicate fabrics without ruining them. Even though it's a little out of the way for me, it's worth it for me knowing that they can take care of our clothes and also do it fast. read more

I am so happy after years of trying so many different cleaners to have found this one! The ladies who work here are so kind and I am very impressed at how they care for the clothes and are able to remove even the worst of stains! It has easy parking in the front and they made a drive-thru drop-off/pick up to help people during this time. I only live here part-time but I will always opt to use this cleaner because of their expertise! read more

I bring all my clothing here. They do a fantastic job!! Now I've moved ten moles away but still bring my clothes here. Other places just don't finely finish as they do here. Big fan!!! read more

Dependable, friendly, attentive, and always on time. I've had dry cleaning and quick fixes (i.e. buttons, reinforcing seams) done there and they're the best! read more

When I became a man I started to wear clothes that fit. Most off-the-rack clothing needs some adjustments to look its best and I get my pants and shirts tailored here. The value for their alteration service is superb. I also decided since I'm a man now I should follow directions. So when it says "dry clean only" and I'm not feeling too lazy I'll get it dry cleaned here. They take care of their stuff, no doubt. read more

I was in California for business and needed my suit dry cleaned ASAP for a meeting. The same day service saved my ass, and it was actually a pleasant experience. I'll suggest this spot to all my California connects. read more

Pleasant staff and service at this cleaners. They got a red wine stain out of my favorite dress shirt which I thought was a goner. Nice way to save $100+. I don't do that much dry cleaning but when I need something done for work, I know they'll do a good job here. read more

We've been using this cleaner for about five years. Their service is exceptional (6 stars!) We were referred to Riviera by a tailor making custom business shirts to extend the longevity of the shirts with good equipment & regular maintenance/changing of cleaning fluids. We won't go anywhere else now and there are many other dry cleaners closer to our home! read more

For some reason their "system" is to write your name on the inside flap of your shirts. Now if I wear a shirt un-tucked my name in black permanent ink is showing for the world to see. They have no sign informing you they will ruin your shirts by writing on them nor do they inform you in any way that they will be damaging your clothes this way. read more

Have gone here for years. However, the prices seem to have gone way up. I was just charged $25 to have (3) Hawaiian shirts dry cleaned ... time to find another dry cleaner. I could buy a brand new Hawaiian shirt at Costco for that price! read more
