Who doesn't love a cute little neighborhood park? Well, unless you are allergic to Cedar here in TX... Neighborhood parks can be a living room for the community. They can be used for many activities, such as walking a dog, playing basketball, riding a bike, or having a picnic. Neighborhood parks are within walking distance, so they're accessible to people without cars. Parks can help protect residents from urban health threats like air, noise, or light pollution and they can also help protect against climate disasters like heat waves and severe flooding. This community park is all of the previously listed things and more! I occasionally bring my GS troop here to participate in GS activities as well as come here to be one with nature and focus on my mental health.
During my trips to this park, I have found that being here serves as a great way to meet community members. This park has a play scape for the Littles, picnic tables, and mature trees. The benefits of this neighborhood park coupled with the proximity to those who reside within the community make this park a great spot for those who are looking to get a little closer to nature and their community.
