We went to this park for my grandson's birthday. It is in Round Rock Texas. It is a safe place to…read morebring your children to play. There is a fence completely surrounding the park and there is a gate to go in and out of which has the handles high enough that a child could not open that gate. There was a lot of thought put into this park. They have wonderful learning areas such as they have an area all about music; This was definitely a favorite place. There are chimes to sound and drums to play, The children really enjoyed this area. They had a zip line made for children. My four-year-old granddaughter was enjoying it and after her, some 13-year-olds were enjoying it. It's very well-made, very safe and very fun. They have a shopping area for them to pretend -- along with their own personal H-E-B! My granddaughter really enjoyed pretending to shop. I think that's a secret word here, there's a lot of pretending going on here! I highly recommend this park. It's important to know that animals are not allowed unless it's a service animal. There's a lot of kids running and yelling and playing and laughing. This is not the place for you if you're going to a park to read a book. This is definitely a great place for children or for parents to play with their children. I highly recommend you visit.

This neighborhood park in Round Rock is beautiful. After major renovations and connections to…read moretrails, the park was reopened in 2024. It still has that "new feeling" to it. The grounds are well-maintained and landscaped. There are paved trails that run along Brushy Creek where folks fish, feed the ducks, and relax along the water if not hiking or walking. It's dog-friendly with poo stations throughout. Dogs must be leashed. Water fountains throughout. The baseball field is state-of-the art. There's a modern playground for kids. Picnic areas with tables and grills. Veterans memorial onsite. Ducks and squirrels all around. In fact, a squirrel climbed the netted parameter around the ball field to watch us. I posted a lot of pics-that's a cute one to check out. The 14-acre park is surrounded by trees. In the middle of Bushy Creek is a large round rock for which the town was named. Next to the ball park is a spiral ramp connecting the upper and lower sections of the Heritage Trail West (which runs through the park). You can walk up it or bike for amazing views once at the top. This is a lovely park for getting out and enjoying nature.

The small grassy area beside the sitting area is a dream. Most parks don't have an area where people can sit and enjoy a meal. Then you add the walking trail. This is a top tier park for all things out door entertainment.

They are doing construction for the Kensington Green Belt so some of it may not be as appealing at the moment as it could be..but I foresee a very mice area in the near future. It definitely has some unique play items that we haven't seen at other parks. Like the monkey bars... Its a half circle...and it goes a couple directions. Pretty neat.. The slide has 2 sets of roller bars for speed and small humps for a super bouncy ride. Yep I tried it!! It was fun! There is a small triangle shaped rope guard climb..intended for balancing more then anything as its flat no inclined. There are the swings. 2 regular and 2 baby. A hamster wheel type thing. Its a little odd...but it was fun for my daughter. She loved it. The pavilion was fairly messy, likely due to the construction taking place, but it was nice...will be nice when done. A large greenbelt for yard games, picnicking, etc. The walkway/trail is under construction so you are stuck walking in the grass...which is understandable. My only complaint is that when we arrived there was a dog pooping in the walkway (the grass part) and no owner present. Obviously unleashed.. Didn't care for that. But all in all...nice little park. We will go back if in the area. BTW there is no parking lot...street parking only at the bridge...and not much.
