I like going to Blue for drinks and hookah with my friends. Especially on Fridays when MLK is the DJ because he keeps the vibe going the whole night! The only down fall is the hosts aren't super friendly when you first enter the establishment and they do not provide good guidance on seating. read more

I don't see them staying open for long. They price gauging with bottle service/ sections. I went Friday & it was barely anyone in there (per usual). You can only sit at the bar unless you buy a bottle ($300+). I can understand you have to buy a bottle to sit at a booth but to sit at the regular tables is insane. Blue is slowly falling off trying to be greedy. The economy is changing, people on average aren't going to be able to afford that on a weekly basis. And the hostess lacked energy & customer service, I don't think she wanted to be there. The food is mediocre & inconsistent. They should allow people to sit at the tables before they completely lose their customers. It's plenty of other places to go to in the area where you don't have to pay to sit... 3 of the bartenders have bad attitudes. The one w the blue hair, the one w the red hair (yt girl) she be too concerned w the men & the light skinned one. The others are fine. read more

I used to frequent this restaurant regularly, but after my most recent experience, I will never return. About a week ago, I used my debit card at this establishment, and shortly after, I discovered that someone had taken a picture of my card and either used it themselves or gave it to someone else to make nearly $1,000 worth of unauthorized purchases on Walmart.com. I hadn't physically used this card in months, so I immediately knew this had to have happened here--especially since it was the only place I had used it. This happened early in the day when they had just opened, making it very easy for management to review their security footage if they had any intention of addressing the issue. I reached out to the restaurant multiple times via phone and email, and they never responded. I also filed a police report and contacted Walmart. While some may say that my bank could simply refund me, that is not enough on principle. The lack of response from this establishment is incredibly disappointing. A responsible business would at the very least acknowledge the concern, investigate, and show care for its customers. Instead, they chose to ignore the situation altogether. My advice: Do not patronize this restaurant. They do not value their customers, and they seem comfortable turning a blind eye to the increasing scam culture in Atlanta. While some employees here have always been pleasant, it's clear their new staff lacks integrity, and unfortunately, management does not care. I will never be returning. read more

Hookah fan here since 2007, and finally made it to this locale right outside the Shops. Location is great and food is tasty! I ordered the lamb skewers with Jasmine rice, and they were very tasty! I can tell they take extra steps to make their food taste distinguished from an item on most hookah lounge menus... The lamb was marinated nicely and the hooka was a nice top off. Drink menu offers various premium drinks and prices aren't too bad. About ($13 for a drink Henny, Ciroc, Bacardi) Now, I'll be back but the manager did ruin the end for us because he is incompetent. Don't you feel cheated or disgusted when the staff is better than a manager?!?! We got there at 8pm. The host advised us at 10pm they charge for tables.... I'm sure you know where I'm already going. My group and I were in no argument here but the loser manger kept putting pressure on us from about 9:50-1030. When he found out the waitress was m.i.a. the last 20 min or so he felt like a jerk. My group and I had been ready to go but the waitress never brought the checks. Whose fault is that?!?... We are not going to leave without our tab closed to stand by the bar and wait on a check and have to sign at the bar. We will do that at the table! Nonetheless, aside from that lil hiccup the place is passable and the area is cool. Typical Atl vibe. Bottle service at like 8pm, pretty people, nice bar, and good music. Manager is really annoying though. I don't know who the guy was but he' short, has a semi-thick accent and put pressure on us when the pressure should have been on his staff! read more

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!!! PLEASE SHARE!!!!! We went here and asked for a table and the "manager" said $3000! Yes Three Thousand dollars to sit down and get a bottle. There's no way we paying $3K for a table at this spot that's not even packed out. Then he said $300 for a table outside. I said "it comes with a hookah, right?" He started getting a lil nasty saying "I'm not giving you shi* if we want cheap shit go across the street" and he went and got security to escort us out the club. Security came (luckily we already had a nice convo with him right before this all happened) and he was asking us why he going off cussing and yelling like that and we was still trying to figure it out ourselves. We as black people do not have to support any business who does not appreciate our dollar and we don't have to let anyone try to extort us to have a good time. We went somewhere else, and it was JUMPING! read more

Food was okay. The salmon was overcooked. The hummus is disgusting. The service is mediocre, nothing to brag about. His ambiance was okay due to no one smiling to greet you. The three stars given was because of the hookah. Their hookahs were amazing. The price is a bit higher than normal. read more

Service is a joke. Food takes forever and staff doesn't care. No food can overcome shitty service.

Great vibe any night of the week. The food is delicious. The drinks are strong. The music is fantastic. I like this new location compared to the old location as the staff is really nice - they make you feel welcome - and the bar area expanded double the size with comfy chairs. Huge TVs for sports watching. Nice upgrades overall. Note after 10PM you can't walk in & grab a table unless you plan on purchasing bottles though; as it is anywhere in Atl. One of my fav places to drink + chill with the girls. read more

The tilapia in a creamy mushroom sauce was heavenly. Wish it had different sides and not two starches but overall very good.

THE PLUS: The ambience was nice, the blue light gave it a very chill vibe. The music was also good, nice mix. Staff was also helpful and informative. The food was a good 7/10. THE NEGATIVE: Way too over priced! It was very cramped and small. We also sat at the bar where we were told they are taking away the stools because it was going to get really busy. (It never did). I'm a strong believer of providing quality services to have customers return instead they tried to get a bigger crowd in with no regards to customers that were already there spending their money. This place is a "maybe return". read more

My bill should have been $45 but charged me $108 for 2 drinks and a shot. When I disputed the bill the waitress was extremely rude and hostile when I was trying to tell her this was wrong and then said there was nothing she could do about along with would not separate or provide an itemized receipt. For this reason I would never come back to this place. It's a shame in Atlanta you can't go to a black owned or seemingly black owned place as expected quality customer service. read more

Racist... classist... colorist! The margarita was good after a 20min wait. The bartender took forget to give me a menu. I had to ask a dude to ask for me. Ugh! Then she never checked in again to see if I was ready to order. After I made eye contact with her several times, she continued to service other customers. I gave up and then my best friend attempted, only to get overlooked by another man who came after us and managed to get the same bartenders attention . Finally a different female bartender came along and asked if we wanted anything. At this point, two male white employees had already ignored us. I'm assuming this place isn't Black owned-but heavily Black SUPPORTED. Never again! You should not have to be a socialite, love n hip hop familiar face, hood rich, or IG model to receive basic customer service ! Especially when gratuity is included. read more

I have a list for the lack of customer service for this restaurant. First we had a reservation for 10:45 for 10 ppl. We arrived at 10:50 and was unable to get the table we reserved because we were 5 mins late! We was then told that we had to buy a section that only seated 6! I notified the manger and all he did was bring over another seat. It was such a tight space upstairs in the area where they had the sections. Let me add that it was my birthday, some of my guest had to leave because they were in the way of the servers. Then offered to open another section that was to far from one another. This place really killed my vibe. Fix your reservation policy, it sucks! read more

I drove a hour to come here . Security at door veryyyy nice & respectful... but he had to get approval from owner about my sleeveless shirt. He came out and said nope! I saw so many people inside with casual clothes , sandals etc but I guess my shirt didn't make the cut. I guess I'm more confused on a strict dress code at a place where ppl smoke their lungs away. Never again. Come here in a suite and tie or be denied entry. read more

My boyfriend most definitely got Food poisoning eating here. I never wrote a review because we just decided to never go back but after I saw on the news someone was shot here last night. I checked yelp to see if the establishment got any better since we last went (years ago when this place was called Istanblue and I'm not sure why they changed the name) I read someone ELSE got food poisoning from here! Yikes!! I'm not sure why people still go here. You can get shot and food poisoning, beware!! read more

A little overrated. Went with 10 ppl for a birthday dinner, tab was $800. They don't split checks and u MUST say exactly what u want from the menu. If u want a hookah, there's three choices: $30, $45, and $75. Be specific when asking bc for whatever reason when we asked (2 ppl was seated at the time) our server thought we wanted the $45 one. Uhhh.... SIR?!? *long stare* Nonetheless, the food was GOOD. read more

So....I come here regularly, like very regulary, the staff is usually very receptive and attentive, however B (that's the name he gave me me) was a D!CK! The food is pretty good, but not worth the piece of sh!t service that I received. Altthough this used to be a regular spot for me and my boyfriend. It will be a while before I come here again. I was the white guy in the blue Nike jogging suit that just left. I sat at an outdoor table and waited 15 minutes for someone, anyone to wait on me. The hostess came at one point, asked if I had been helped, then left. This place was not even 1/4 filled. All I wanted was your $19 Gyro and a water. My plan was to pay with $40 cash and have waitress keep the rest. I'd been in & out in a jiffy. Easiest table of the night. No bs, just feed me & I leave. Simple enough but some how you failed. To the waitress who was standing in front of me flirting with her customer for the whole 15 minutes I was sitting there right in front of her in plain view of my blue glow. Dont worry sweetheart it's not your fault management & ownership has there head so far up there @ss that they don't properly train you in general customer service even though it's not your section. I actually made a bet with myself that had you gone out of your way and help at all, I would've slid you a fresh $100 bill out of my pocket just for doing anything at all. But I guess I lost that bet, or did I win??? Anyway people, get a clue over there!!!! read more

Scam. Ordered 6 tequila shots and they billed me $140. Place is trash. Be smart don't go.

The setting is cool and nice. The food is okay just a little too over priced for quality of taste in my opinion. I got the lamb chops which had a great presentation but lacked a little in taste. I would expect the lamb chops to be very tasty since it's a steakhouse price. My friend got the salmon and also felt the same way. Drinks are also over priced. I would recommend sticking to straight liquor with your mixture of choice over getting any of the cocktails and martinis because they are pre batched which makes the presence of the liquor rare. Other than that, this place is a nice vibe! read more

I really tried. From the beginning... I pulled up for valet and waited 15 minutes while valet and one of the waiters talked to someone they probably knew, another valet pulled up behind me to give someone their car and never came over to me when he was done. The people in the car in front of me finally left. Valet started to walk towards me and turned around to talk to the women. I really just wanted to give them my car and tip them but at that point I pulled off to park elsewhere, I'm guessing getting tipped doesn't mean anything. On to the restaurant, had a waitress, Kay I believe, well she took my order for a drink and left it at the bar for 15 minutes. We had friends that were coming that were regulars there and knew a waiter, so I hoped we would get better service. We found the waiter our friends told us to find - Mansow or something close, and he got my drink that was sitting at the bar. As the night progressed I really wanted food, I wasn't sure who my waiter/waitress was so I asked the girl Kay if she could help me order when as she flew past, she smiled and NEVER CAME BACK. She walked past a million times, if she wasn't going to help she easily could have said I'll get the other waiter for you. But nothing! Finally get the male waiters attention, ordered food, ate the food which was ok, but not worth going in to flag someone down to feed you. It seems like a place you need to be fine with being left at a table and ignored unless you speak up, which isn't how service should be at a restaurant. AND FOR THE BIll! Me and a friend split our tab, I gave $40 and friend gave a card. (Would have been 34$ each) I said please split the bill and can I have change of a 20 so I can tip. He doesn't take the 20. I like to give at least 20% because I work in the service industry, and my tab would have been higher if someone would have come to the table to ask if we needed anything. WELL HE BRINGS ME NO CHANGE FROM MY 40. Just brings my friends card back. I never said keep the 6$ and I wanted to leave more. So at that point keep the 6$, you have stopped yourself from receiving more money. The waitresses are pretty and probably work for the regulars that come in, if I had a good experience I could have become one bc the music was good. But If your going here, sit at the bar and hope for the best. I will never be back. There are too many other places to go in Atlanta. read more

If you're looking for a place that has attentive, friendly staff then I suggest you get here early. Once the nightlife crowd picks up getting waited on is almost impossible. We came in on a sat at 830 and sat at the bar until the rest of our party arrived. The bartender was nice and attentive. The sangria was amazing! Once everyone was there we moved to a table. We ordered a hookah but no one ever came back to order our food for a good 2hrs. I asked the guy cleaning the tables he said he would get our server. I asked the guy replacing our coals in the hookah... He said he would get our server. I asked the hostess she said she would get our server.....I didnt eat until approximately 1130/midnight. I got the grilled shrimp cabob with rice and salad, but they were really salty and expensive ($28). The atmosphere was nice. read more

If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would. It was formerly Instablue but they changed the name; maybe to start with a "clean slate". The reviews were terrible with a lot of customer service and racism complaints. New name, same old ####! The customer service is still lacking and food is still okay. It looks the same inside as well. Anyway, I decided to give Blue another chance after a couple of awful experiences at Instablue; the result was the same. It was a Friday night, a little chilly outside, with few outside seating available. I walk in and the music is blazing. Is this a club or lounge? The hostess rudely informed me that seating inside was only for bottle service. Huh? Meanwhile there were several empty tables inside. There were two of us and I knew we wouldn't be able to finish half a bottle of anything, let alone an entire bottle. We got seated and ordered a bottle anyway, a hookah, and food. Hookah was just like every other; and chicken kabob and 3 cheese pizza was just okay. Waitress would be gone for 30 minutes at a time. I will definitely not be going back to this place. There are too many great hookah bars with great food and customer service in buckhead and Atlanta in general. read more

Went there last night for the first time. It was pretty decent. Ordered the chicken kebab and it was good. Drinks were good as well. Only downfall about this place is the prices are high as hell, it's small inside, and over crowded. They have tables right in the middle of the area. We originally sat at the bar with chairs and they took our chairs around 10:30pm talking about "we're expecting a high volume crowd tonight. We need to pull the chairs." Meanwhile you have Big Pun 2.5 and Fat Joe 3.2 slobbing down meals right in the middle of the dance floor. Nice atmosphere. When we got there we were seated right away and told someone would come clean the table. No one ever came to clean the table. Our waitress also took forever to take our orders. When we finally got the hookah, it was decent. When the coals needed to be changed we let our waitress know, and she never came back to change them. We had to ask someone else. Also, we asked the waitress if the bill could be split she said yes. When we were ready to pay she told us we couldn't split it by drink/meal. So we just split it evenly. We had a reservation for a birthday celebration days in advance. The day before, birthday girl called to confirm and everything was fine till the day of the event. As we were heading to this place, they called the birthday girl to let her know that she must buy a bottle to keep her reservation. Mind you, some guests had already arrived. Needless to say, that was unprofessional. They had previously told her that bottle service was after 10pm. We were planning to have dinner there from 8:45 to 9:45pm. If they wanted to start a new policy, this was not the time to do it and definitely should have given plenty of heads up. Calling the customer while some of her guests were on their way and others had already arrived was simply inappropriate and unforgiving. We had to quickly find a new venue for the event. I would absolutely not recommend this place. read more

I came with a large birthday party on a Saturday evening. Everything started off well. We bought two sections with lots of food and drinks. One of the women needed to retrieve something from her vehicle and I chose to walk her to and from her vehicle. On the way out I asked security if there would be any issue and they stated "no and that it would not be an issue" and that we could enter without wait upon our return. We returned within five minutes and when we tried to enter the security guard said that they won't be letting anyone back inside. I reminded him of our conversation and he said "we're just here to get money and then leave and the longer you all are here the longer we have to stay". I explained that the establishment is opened for two more hours and there is still plenty of seating. A few of the waitresses saw what happened and came out to explain that we were apart of two sections of which one section had my card for the tab. He became aggressive with them and they went back inside. I haven't returned to the establishment since being treated this way. This isn't a good way to conduct business. This establishment literally stole my money as I didn't receive much of the goods and services of which I purchased. Think twice...three times before spending money here. read more

I have to give this place 2 stars because around 1030 pm a crowd came in and wanted us to get up because someone wanted to buy the table. Now I am aware that this can supersede the position of the current customer, but we were told we were own our own finding somewhere else to sit. We had a hookah so it was necessary that we were accommodated since it's a $100 fee if the hookah was broken. Nevertheless I was prepared to buy the table to keep my seat. So because of the customer service in that situation I am rating my experience 2 stars. My server was awesome for the second week in a row(she was not apart of that situation). read more

Thursday night catered to the 25 and older crowd which fit for me because the DJ and crowd was pleasant. I know because we had a local regularly talk to our waitress and she came back with a second drink for my friend who agreed that the new drink was significantly stronger than the first.
