Happy Hour
Meka D.

This place was a vibe!! I planned a happy hour event for my Facebook group (Atlanta Social Crew). We came here on a Friday right at 6. I loved the decor. Everything looked so nice. They have plenty of space for large parties. It was about 12 of us. Happy has $10 drink of the day. $6 shot of the day and $20 hookah. It's from 6-8p but they did extend it til 11pm while we were there. Let me say Ciara, our server, was amazing! She was so attentive and that's rare when you have a large party. She was super sweet. I'll come back just to sit with her! I ordered the shrimp kabob. It was so good and flavorful. They have a small parking lot in the front. I think they valet as it gets later in the day. They are open until 6am! I will be back. Reel on Instagram : @miss_mekad

Lamb Chops

My family and I were in town for an event and went to Babylon not just once, but twice while visiting Atlanta. The first night I had the Lamb Chops which were out of this world. The second night I had the steak and it too was amazing!! Not only was the food top tier, but the ambiance and service were impeccable!! If you like Mediterranean food trust me you will love Babylon Cafe!! The hookah and the desert were also fantastic!! The management and owners even greeted our table to make sure we enjoyed everything!! I can't wait to go back to Babylon next time I'm in Atlanta. Make sure to check them out!!

The hookah was not good! The shisha was cheap, the drinks was good, the waitress was knowledgeable about the specialty drinks they were serving at the time, the food was BOMB (meaning good for my proper people) it was very filling and flavorful! The ambiance gave off lounge vibes and they have a smoke section for patrons and a non smoking section too. You also have a time limit to eat/smoke/drink and I think it's appropriate for busy nights not slow nights. We need to stop that it's kinda rude. Parking can be frustrating when packed, being that the parking lot is tiny.

One of my best friends wanted to visit this spot for her 30th birthday turn up. I had never heard of this place prior and wanted to give them a try. This place is not that big and it's parking lot is very small. Like only about 8 cars can fit into the lot. Please be advised that this location charges twenty dollars after 10pm so it's best to come before to take advantage of free parking. As I mentioned the parking lot is small but we managed to find parking in the lot adjacent to the restaurant. Once you enter into the place, you are within a Mediterranean theme restaurant. It's as if this place wasn't in Atlanta, Ga but in another country. Very beautiful with the ambiance & furniture. My friend made reservations for 9pm sharp and we all arrived there on time. The DJ was top tier he played all the great throwback late 90's and early 2000 songs. It was a whole vibe indeed. As the new kids would say he understood the assignment for sure. On the night we went there was hardly anyone in the lounge/club area. Like when does that ever happen? We stayed for over 4 hours and enjoyed every minute of it. Every half an hour the belly dance would come out and dance with the bday girl. It was a whole vibe indeed and nothing but good times. Last but certainly not least the FOOD! I have to say this place does the best lamb chops. It was so juicy and tender yet did not lack flavor. Truly delicious and paired well with the basmati rice. The side salad was great too the dressing was a balsamic vinaigrette. I will be coming back just for the food cuz it was a whole vibe. The drinks were delicious the peach Babylon margarita was amazing & the hookah was good too.

I was here last night for a comedy show open mic that I took part in and it was so dope!! I was a bit apprehensive at first when I saw the name of the restaurant well because if you know biblical history then you know what kind of city Babylon was. LMAOBut I will say I had one of the best margaritas I've ever had last night from the bar at Babylon and I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing cause you know, Babylon!! But seriously the food and drinks were good and the vibe was good too and I'll definitely be back!!!

I had a great time at Babylon Cafe recently on a Saturday night. A close friend of mine celebrated her birthday here and reserved a section. We arrived around 9 PM. Parking was very limited, but we were able to park in the lot behind it (where Starship is) for free. They do begin to charge for parking in that lot after 10:30 PM, so I recommend arriving between 8 and 9:30 for ease in finding it for free. Babylon Cafe also charges a cover after 10 PM, so I recommend coming earlier for that reason as well. The reserved section came with bottle service, so we were able to enjoy Patron shots and the bottle girls came over with the bottle, sparklers and the birthday sign to celebrate our friend. I also ordered a mango margarita (I think it was called Babylonrita?) and it was good! We ordered lemon pepper wings and french fries and they were perfect for the booth that we were sitting in and helped with soaking up the tequila. We truly enjoyed the french fries. My friends that ordered the lamb chops and lamb bryani loved their food also, but took to-go boxes. I would love to try lamb bryani next time, but would not recommend that type of food for the section seating, because of the limited space and lower table making it harder to eat the lamb chops and rice/like dish. They do have general restaurant seating on the other side of the cafe. The music was awesome; this djay catered to the millennials that night! There was a mix of r&b, hiphop, afro beat, Mediterranean music, line dances, everything early 90s to the early 2000s with a mix of 2023! We were up dancing the majority of the time that we were there. We saw the belly dancer 2-3 times and she delivered a very fun and interactive experience where we could dance with her. It was a true party and it almost felt like we had the back of the place to ourselves because it was very intimate and not crowded. It is a great place for a birthday celebration or just to hang out on Saturday night. Overall, this experience was a VIBE that I have not had going out in a year or so. I would def. come back to enjoy dinner and music.

I gave 4-stars only because of the $40 parking fee. I felt that was a bit much considering I was there for dessert & a couple of drinks only. Apparently, there is a club, separate from the dining room in the back of the building. I sat at the bar. I ordered a drink + dessert. My Mojoto was a little sweeter than I have had from other bars, but I drank it down & ordered a Crown + cranberry. It's really hard to mess that up. The Lemoncello cake is the best dessert on the menu. Will I go back? Maybe if they come down on that parking price.

Ambiance was cool or whatever but the food was so bland I had to ask server for salt & pepper and hookah is horrible. My boyfriend was pissed ! It's not a spot I would suggest

We went for Happy Hour at 6pm on Friday. Great vibe. The Food was Flavorful. Really like the rice and the flavor in the shrimp. My salmon was a little too well done. The drinks were good. I love the $20 Hookah. The service was ok. No complaints. I look forward to going back.

Loved the experience, perfect Kuwait:middle eastern vibe. We went right at opening for food drinks and hookah. They had a live DJ great music and the drinks were my favorite I had the raspberry lemonade drop

For an evening of abstract oddities that can be curated only near Cheshire Bridge, look no further. Babylon Cafe is one of those oddities. The first sign of something being off was when a middle eastern Uber driver asks you if the place named Babylon Cafe just opened. At that moment, there is a very natural raise if an eyebrow that resembles a curious chipmunk contemplating why squirrels exist. A long time middle eastern Atlanta resident not knowing of a place that has been around for many many years was a suspicious precedent to what was about to come. Friday night at 9 pm and the place being almost completely empty should have been the next sign to get out. Yet on certain evening, curiosity prevails over logic. Walking into a larger room with cushions, it was a vast space with some neat wall decorations and Moroccan lamps. The ceiling however seemed to be wrapped in some kind of terrible tarp. There was intermittent music blasting, then turning off completely, leaving the empty room in complete silence. Looking upon the menu, the pricing of any decent alcohol were out of this world. Over $200 bucks for a bottle of Cliquot? Does it come with a personal donkey to race through this vast, empty desert on Cheshire Bridge? It seemed like a really bad joke. The beer selections were quite terrible. Other than a couple mass produced American staples, the only bearable choice was corona. Ordered a hookah as well, which prepared in a nice glass apparatus, but lacked in quality of tobacco and guaranteed a headache for the next day. Next, the food came out. The appetizers and salads were surprisingly very good. The Babylon taster of meats had chicken, which was not bad, but also seemed to be of very low quality. The lamb was one of the worst. Dry and Flavorless. The solution was to get stuffed on the rice. The waitress was very kind, so that made the misery of this experience better. Upon departure, a DJ arrived and it seemed like they were setting up for a night of partying. Perhaps I missed the theme of this place, as a nightclub, but even with that, could not imagine footing these prices in a hole in the wall as such or wanting to be inside of this distressed building. I was quite happy to exit and know that this will be the last visit to Babylon Cafe.

One of the best parts is how easy it is when you arrive--you can walk right in, pick your table, and get settled without any hassle. They have call buttons at each table to request a server, which makes ordering seamless. The service was really good--attentive, quick, and consistent throughout. The hookah itself was a standout. They offer a wide range of flavors, ice hoses, and use silicone bowls, which I personally love. Everything was smooth and well-prepared. There was also a DJ playing, which added a nice vibe to the atmosphere, and they have a large menu with plenty of food options. I tried the wings--they were decent, nothing special--but overall, the experience, hookah quality, and service make this a solid spot to come back to.

It keeps the hookah smoke cold. They're not harsh whatsoever. The owners are always there, making sure everyone is happy. I love the fact that they allow you to play whatever music you want. If I'm ever back in Georgia I will be back.

Their menu has food, drink, and hookah options. They had nothing on the menu except for Suya; so, we didn't have food. The drinks were pretty good and reasonably priced, given that they were served in plastic cups. The hookah was pretty good and lasted awhile. The sign would advise they open at 5, but doors wouldn't open until nearly an hour later. So you literally had to box them, then pay your bill to close..... With that said, The recent visit I made last week was MUCH better. Decor of this locale is real loungy and sleek. Nice ambiance for a Gwinnett experience...The staff is very pleasant, and the Siracha wings are amazing!!! Presentation was so simple but nice... My friend got another chicken dish, that kinda looked like a Cordon Bleu, and that was quite tasty as well. Drinks are fair, (tiny portions with ice), and the music is good. Mix of African/Reggae/HipHop. In all, I recommend this place if the consistency stays like this....but I had to be honest about my previous experiences.
