Super attentive without hovering, gave spot-on recommendations, and was playful, funny, and genuinely kind. You can tell she loves meeting people, and it made the whole table feel celebrated. Food was way better than I expected for a hookah lounge. Get the oysters - fresh and perfect - and the pesto garlic bread is a must. Seriously addictive. And the hookah? SLAPS. Smooth, flavorful, and they keep it going without you having to ask. The ambiance is very Atlanta in the best way: flowery walls for photos, eclectic cozy seating, great music, dim lighting, total vibe. We stayed way longer than planned because we didn't want to leave. Already planning my return. If you're in Sandy Springs, book a table here!

So this spot had been going viral just a little bit so I wanted to give it a shot when I had the…read morechance and grabbed a friend and we went out there to check it out. It looks like a decent place when you walk in. It looks very well done and they have a little LEGO block theme so that's actually pretty cool. It's a decent free parking restaurant outside the city, but read the review before you make your decision. Got there and it took quite a bit of time to get the waitress's attention and that really threw me off a little bit because I just sat down. The least you can do is come make sure I had water or whatever the case may be. Barrel - so I ordered this because this is the closest thing they had to a razzle dazzle of an old fashioned. It was actually pretty decent. It came in a treasure chest that was smoking so that was cool. Now what's odd is that they can't let you have their treasure chests for too long because they have to limit the supply of them apparently. You will see somebody get it and then they'll wait for you to grab the drink and they'll take it right away. That's really odd. Lychee - now this drink really wasn't my thing but just after a little taste I thought it was decent. It came very well done as far as presentation goes. Biria tacos - the tacos were decent at best. It didn't feel like anything out of pocket was stellar or stand-out but the tacos were decent. They didn't come super hot but they came eventually. If you go to an actual Mexican restaurant, you'll probably definitely get a better situation when it comes to tacos. Usually when you get this type of taco, they give you something on the side to dip it in and you didn't get that at this spot. It wasn't that kind of party. Chicken wings - the chicken wings were okay but nothing to write home about at all. I probably wouldn't bother getting them again but they were decent for what they were. They were really small though so that really kind of threw me off a little bit because I expected either regular size or whole wings or anything along those lines when I order chicken wings. These were the smallest drumettes you could find. Chicken shish - the chicken was actually pretty decent. It was okay. I mean I've been to actual Mediterranean restaurants where it's a whole different story but the chicken was all right. It came with a couple of fingerling potatoes and it came with some vegetables and it was decently well done but nothing crazy about it. Mashed potatoes - So I got the mashed potatoes to the table as well and they came out cold. Mixed vegetables - were a little soggy when they came to the table but they were super flavorful Grilled octopus - Grid Octopus was actually really good. It was one of the best things that I had. It was cooked very well and firm and tender at the same time. It didn't actually need any sauce; it was already pretty well flavorful. Japanese soure - so I purely got this drink just for the extra bells and whistles. It was actually pretty decent. It wasn't amazing but it was a decent sour-like drink. It came smoking gun style so that was cool, which was the reason why I wanted to get it, but I wasn't upset in my decision. Overall this was a pretty good place but it's not great. Nothing really stood out. The chicken was pretty good but I've had better in other actual Mediterranean spots. Having some of the food cold didn't really sit well with me but at the end of the day it still got eaten. The service wasn't stellar but at least the server was nice. I think that it's very trendy but it's not like it's something that'll make or break you if you don't happen to go. It's pretty much just a trending spot because of the optics and because of how picture beautiful it is.

Table for 4 for Dinner The whole family was headed out for…read morea pre-Father's Day dinner. I was in the passenger seat and had no clue where we were going. We headed up 75 north and arrived at the Nazareth Plaza. The restaurant was located in this plaza and they had a huge shared parking lot. We found a spot and took the short walk over to the Bar Amaya. We passed a glassed enclosed patio before we found the entrance. Wifey approached the hostess and informed them she made a reservation. There seemed to be some confusion, but they eventually figured it out and we were informed there was a 2 hour limit for our dinner. While standing there I could see there were 2 main dining areas; a dark interior dining room to the left and the glass covered patio on the right that we passed from the parking lot. We were led to a table for 4 in the patio that seemed lower than your average table. We were informed we could scan the QR code on the table to pull up the full food and drink menu. While looking around I could see this place had a very eclectic design. There were definitely some Mediterranean influences, but then I saw large dice, Lego sets and Hookahs on display. When I pulled up the menu it continued with the eclectic/confused theme . There were Mediterranean dishes but then I saw Mexican birria tacos. We all kept reviewing the menu and realized no one came by to take our order. There was a lot of activity in the room, but nobody actually stopped by our table. The service was already starting a little slow. My daughter chased down the hostess and let her know no one had come by to take our order. She informed us that someone would be there shortly. I did not press the envelope as I was the guest of honor for Father's Day. Our server Alexis arrived and greeted us with a smile. By that time we were all ready with our drink and food orders. Their beer selection wasn't huge. The menu had about 10 things to choose from but there were 2 I had not seen before. I asked if they had either the Efes or the Tusker beer available. Our server said she would have to double check at the bar. Wifey kept it simple and ordered a Modelo. My daughters tried some of their specialty cocktails, my youngest ordered a Blush Blossom drink and my oldest ordered a Gypso. For food, Wifey and my oldest ordered the Chicken Pesto Pasta, my youngest ordered the Salmon meal and I ordered the Chicken Shish Kabop meal, keeping with the Mediterranean theme. The server came by not too long after and informed me that neither of the "Exotic" beers were available. I just settled for a Modello like Wifey. The food and drinks came out very fast and looked very fresh. Even though our server said she was gonna bring us some water, they never arrived and we had to remind her. Also only two of us had utensils when the food arrived. My daughter tasted the Blush Blossom, didn't like it and asked if she could swap it out with the Gypso. Our server initially said she would have to charge us for both drinks. I inquired if she could ask if they could be swapped out at no extra cost. She came back over and said the manager agreed to only charge for 1 drink. That was good to hear and accommodating. Once everything arrived at the table and we started digging, the food was excellent. No one had any complaints. The food was definitely the highlight at Bar Amaya. I asked Alexis about the dessert options and she named a few good ones; including Tres Leches and Baklava. We decided on the Baklava so everybody could share it. I thought all they had to do was cut a slice, maybe warm it up, and bring it out. Why did it take almost 15 min for the desert to come out? Even our server came by at one point and said "you didn't get your cake yet, let me check on it". When it finally came out, it was a pretty small portion. It didn't look that fresh, but it was served with some pistachio ice cream on the side. We all took a few bites and agreed, for the most part, It was good. The ice cream was better than we expected, but the Baklava itself was a little mushy. Overall, for this visit to Bar Amaya, the food and ambiance were excellent. The entrees came out quickly, but the other attention to detail and overall customer service could have been better. Rating 3.5

Ignite presents a laid back environment that is perfect for any occasion. The space is small but not crowded. The design aspect is amazing and all of the seating is comfortable. The staff was super fun. Everyone had a smile and they were very attentive to the patrons who were present. My favorite Mocktail was the Kennesaw Kiss. It puts you in the mindset of a creamy Pina Colada with a Dragon fruit type blend. And it's pink, and comes with a bubble on top. I am in loveeeeeeeee! Ignite is def a vibe.
