I am a spinach connoisseur... this was perfect steam, cook, freshness, moisture... excellent

Stopped in for dinner. I had heard about the chicken parm on the Show Wicked bites The chicken parm was real deal chicken cutlet with excellent breading crust or crunch. The red sauce had a sweet taste and excellent, was the owners mother's recipe to add a butcher for a sweeter taste... wow... excellent. The pasta is from Deanos fresh pasta off Boston with white oatmeal cheese sauce. Outstanding. The melted cheese on cutlet was perfect . I really enjoyed this dish. I really wanted hot roll or two with butter or a garlic bread piece. Top notch beers selection. This was a very good meal and far better chicken parm than I have eaten in the Boston Northend at many authentic Italian restaurants.

The food was good and the ambiance was really nice. The burger was good and the parm fries were really good. The kids liked the pizza and the pasta but my daughter said the pizza was kind of soggy. The service was good; a bit slow. My kids had to remind us (and the server) that the kids meal came with an ice cream sundae. I would come back again.

We had a business lunch with clients so I wasn't able to take food pics, but it was good, very good! We got there 11:45 and were first to be seated. Within 30 minutes the restaurant was full! The place is both cool and d cute! Big beer me u abd lots to choose for lunch. I had the excellent chicken mandarin salad. Lots of greens, teriyaki chicken, oranges, sugared pecans, cabbage abd more! Beautiful and filling salad. Everyone else had burgers and we all enjoyed. Service was professional and prompt. I inadvertently left my work folio at our table but was over an hour away when I realized it. They kindly shipped it back to my house in CT same day! 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, lots of kudos and a partridge in a pear tree!

Blue on Highland offers a lovely setting with beautiful decor. I really enjoyed the tuna tartare--fresh and flavorful. I also tried the salad and the fig prosciutto pizza, both of which were excellent. The spicy margarita was served in a nice glass, adding a nice touch to the experience. Our server was fantastic--attentive, sweet, and providing excellent customer service. She was a young lady with long hair, and I wish I had her name to compliment her directly. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. I'll definitely be returning!

Blue on Highland was super busy when we went on a Tuesday night, and for good reason. The food is great and the portion sizes were great for the price! The fig and prosciutto pizza was really really good, quite sweet, but overall a great meal. The food came out super quick and was overall good!

Stopped by for brunch one day. The place was hopping, luckily we had reservations. I started with the Sparkling Peach (Peach vodka, simple syrup blood orange puree, lemon, prosecco) and my wife just stuck with water. She ordered the fish tacos and I the brunch bowl after reading other reviews about it. It certainly did not disappoint. The staff were friendly but you could tell they were short handed as our waitress was also handling the bar orders. All in all it was a good experience and the food was very good.

"You're my blue sky, you're my sunny day Lord, you know it makes me high When you turn your love my way" (Allman Brothers) Monday was a holiday in Massachusetts. On Patriots Day my grandchildren had no school and my son had the day off, so our visit included a fun family lunch at Blue On Highland. The kids had a blast with the children's activity books and crayons Blue provided. Lots of word searches, unscramble the letters, find the words, connect the dots, and similar brain busters for the little ones. They were fully engaged trying to problem solve the riddles and puzzles. Our server Jaimee was a real delight and was super personable, helpful and professional. Blue has quite a few Children's Meals, and our two little guys went for a cheese pizza (pretty darned big!) and a grilled cheese with fries for $12 each. Chocolate milks were included with the price My lunch was a Thai Steak Salad ($27) that was delicious. It had five big tender steak tips served with romaine, Udon noodles, avocado, mandarin oranges, shredded cabbage, toasted peanuts, shredded carrots, and a spicy Thai-peanut dressing. It was worth every penny, and in fact the portion was so big I took home half of it for dinner. Our table's other orders included a salmon wrap with sweet potato fries ($16) and a Chicken Caprese sandwich (also $16). The five lunches and two diet coked ran $96 for three adults and two children. Thats not bad for an upscale place in a Boston suburb with excellent food and service.

I decided to give it a try since it was only nine minutes away from where I was. When I walked in my child and I were immediately sat, and my child was provided a kids menu. My child went with the pasta and butter, which is her favorite dish from anywhere. I had the pan roasted chicken and a white sangria and for dessert we shared a caramel brownie cheesecake. This restaurant is big and spacious. It was very busy and seems to be a popular restaurant in that area. Our waiter was extremely friendly, patient and attentive. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Post-COVID, life looks a little different. I've changed jobs and moved to another town, so it's no longer the easy drop-in it once was. Still, I make a point to come back at least every few months. What hasn't changed is the consistency. This remains one of the most reliably excellent restaurants in the Boston area, and still one of my all-time top five--while others that once held that spot haven't quite held up. One thing has changed, though: the Ghost of Mary. Scotty, the former bar manager, created what's still my favorite cocktail of all time. When he left, the drink left with him (by mutual agreement), and while he generously shared the recipe with me, I've never quite managed to recreate it at home. It was clearly meant to be made by the expert. That said, Sycamore hasn't missed a beat. The space is still as comfortable and quirky as ever, the food remains consistently excellent, and the current bar program is in very capable hands. The cocktails are thoughtful and well-executed--just maybe don't remind me about the one I'm missing

Sycamore is SPECTACULAR!!!…read more Newton centre is probably one of my favorite cities for date night and afternoon shopping. They have some great places to shop and dine and Sycamore is one of them. We have been here multiple times and everytime is better than the last. From the Managers greeting to the service, and atomosphere, Sycamore sure knows how to make customers feel seen and heard and their bellies happy :) We came here after attending a wine tasting not far from here and were able to grab some bar seats. They have a great cocktail and wine list; I always have a hard time choosing just one. I went with a vodka drink called Nothing Rhymes Orange and my husband had a beer. Since we were not that hungry he ordered the Chorizo Croquettas and I had my favorite salad in the world (not kidding) their Kale Salad. Let me just tell you 1. if you don't like kale, you will love this salad. Just the way they make it and the flavors/crunch will make your mouth water 2. you will eat the whole thing. 3. trust me. If there is one app that you need to order its the chorizo croquettas, OMG. They are like little small drops of heaven and there are only 3 so if you plan to share I would recommend ordering more than just one. For dessert, we ordered an Espresso Martini. The only thing that was missing is the coffee beans but still good. Thanks Sycamore for another fabulous dinner and evening. Thanks Kale Salad for being the best ever. I know I will be back for another one sometime soon. Cheers~

We started with the pretzel bites and a curl of French onion soup (so sad I didn't get a photo). Both delicious although the cheese sauce for the pretzel bites was a bit thin - the flavor was there though. The French onion soup was delicious! The first spoonful made my tastebuds dance! The bread in the soup tasted like rye which ended up being a nice touch. They also did not skimp on the cheese! For our meals, my wife got the French dip sandwich handheld which she enjoyed. She was only able to finish half. I couldn't decide and asked our waitress to decide for me from shepherd's pie, chicken pot pie, and the London broil. She talked me into the shepherd's pie due to the weather outside and the fact that it is so big, I would definitely get to take home leftovers. This dish was huge! From the first spoonful, the taste of the sirloin/potato/demiglace was perfect. This is definitely a hearty dish worthy of a winter's night!
