I was in Detroit Michigan and had a layover in St Louis for about 3 hours. I was hungry decided to go here but didn't know what I wanted so I asked the waitress who was so so nice I don't know her name but she was everything! She had her hair in a low bun and with braids and she had a accent like she was from Africa Jamaica or something like that that she spoke another language and English was her second language. Now keep in mind that wasn't a bad thing I actually loved her voice. She ended up recommending to me a burger which I forgot the name of and quesadillas. I ended up getting the quesadillas and poutine. Now I don't eat red meat much however that was one of the most tender delicious meals that I've had in so long. Quesadillas were excellent and also delicious. Favorite part was the guacamole. Now I was flying home to California and California is known to have avocados a lot and I will say that that was one of the best guacamole that I've had in my entire life. I ended up taking both orders to go so I can enjoy them at home and even got extra guacamole on the side to go home however when I got home I somehow ended up losing the food and to say that I was pissed off was an understatement I ended up crying I was so pissed because you know when you have thoughts about the food that you're going to have and you are going to have it at a later time? Yeah that was me. So yeah I was upset highly upset because I don't travel much and that was my first time traveling since 2021.. So I do recommend this to people who do travel and they need somewhere to eat it's extremely delicious. Also the servers are extremely nice but please keep in mind that sometimes there is a good wait to sit down because it is so popular. I hope to go there again or someone who travels can bring me some guacamole home. Oh by the way if I haven't said this before I'm lactose intolerant and I was willing to risk my body for that food that's how good it was and I actually have pain from being lactose intolerant so keep that in mind. I had approximately an hour before my flight. It was self seating, and I found a table by the large windows overlooking the airfield. I ordered a Goose IPA and within minutes my server brought it out. I enjoyed my cold beverage and relaxing time. I ordered and paid via my phone's camera scanning the bar code on the mini instructions placed on each table. My server was prompt and efficient. The pint cost $10.95. A very pleasant experience, featuring yummy pretzels and a damn good margarita. With a 1+ hour wait for my next flight out of STL, I walked by 3 different bars before finally deciding on The Blue Note. I was in desperate need of a drink and a snack and this friendly location provided on all fronts. I was quickly seated and though the wait time on your server may be a few minutes extra, it's only because a) there are plenty of patrons and b) the servers are very friendly and easy to chat travelers up. During one of our stops in St Louis airport we checked out Blue note and the menu looked yummy. I was tempted to get the crab cake but the turkey club also sounded delicious and definitely hit the spot. My husband ordered the Bacon Southwest Burger. Delicious and there's outlets available at some tables to charge your phone. Our server took good care of us and continued to offer a refill on drinks. There are exactly three reasons why you should eat here: 1. Cathy was friendly, efficient, and terrific with service! My observation was that she was taking care of most of the restaurant not seated at the bar by herself this morning. Honestly, sitting in her section was the best part of the meal. Thanks Cathy!!! 2. You want a liquid breakfast. Sit at the bar. Drink up. 3. You literally have no other options for food at the airport. I have nothing new to add to the other reviews on here. I ordered The Playoffs. It was supposed to come with a choice of eggs. What I found out was that they do not serve cracked eggs here, so your choice of eggs consists of exactly one option--Fegs (fake eggs for those unfamiliar with the term). They were firm and flavorless, and only after putting an abundance of salt, pepper, and (gasp!) Ketchup on them were they even close to palatable. Ditto on the hash browns...mostly hash, not much brown, and even less flavor. Salt, pepper, and ketchup to the rescue once again. I cannot imagine ordering any of the omelettes on the menu with this consistency of eggs. You are also given a choice of meat...bacon, linguica (sausage in layman's terms), ham, and chicken sausage. I ordered the ham which consisted of four slices of packaged deli ham each folded in half and slightly warmed. The best part of the food (see above for the best part of the meal) was the toast--one slice cut in half both pieces of which I buttered and slathered with grape and strawberry jelly. I could have had a whole meal of toast and been content. The food itself gets one star. I don't think the problem is with the kitchen though. I believe the cooks are doing the best with what they have, but they don't have much to work with. The coffee was good, and Cathy (have I mentioned how great a job she did--she's the sole reason for the other two stars!) kept my cup full until I was ready to leave. But overall, the value of this breakfast was not worth the price being charged. My recommendation for breakfast is coffee and toast or booze and toast, but go to Burger King across the way and spend half the price for a comparable, flavorless breakfast. The worst airport food I've ever had. There's a finger indentation on my sandwich. It's obviously white bread not sourdough bread as said in the description. Bone out chicken are blended up chicken shaped in balls. Onion rings were falling apart. Everything tastes like it's being made days ago, reheated, just overall bad cooking. How are they able to survive??? At least my server is nice. I have time to spare (waiting for the next flight), so waiting forever for the food to come (here right next to my gate) isn't too bad. If you want a delicious brisket slider, I recommend you get over to Blue Note in the E-Gate corridor area at St. Louis airport! Every bite of brisket was tender and full of flavor. The sliders are served with coleslaw, BBQ sauce, and pickles on soft Hawaiian rolls. You can put everything on the roll or you can eat them separately. I tried them both ways, and both ways did not disappoint, but I preferred my slider with everything on the roll altogether. I paired the sliders with a margarita on the rocks with salt. They have the best burger and fries in the airport.. the burger meat tastes extremely fresh. The bun is very good and the fries were hot and seasoned to perfection. I ordered a traditional margarita to go with this, and although it took almost till the end of my meal to get it, it was delicious too perfect place to spend my two hours before my flight home.. the service was good and we got our water refilled. Flew in from OKC and had a long layover so my travel partner and I decided to sit and have a good meal. We chose The Blue Note and were not disappointed. We were seated immediately and started with excellent service. We were greeted by Jerry, our server, who took our drink order quickly and brought back our drinks. He then took our order and our food came out quickly. Jerry was very kind and continued to provide excellent service while we enjoyed our corn chowder, BLT, chips and salsa, and Caesar salad.
