Hippy holla amongst the elite of Big Sky. Nice bakery to get a sandwich for lunch and enjoy the days' vibes. The outside veranda allows dogs to accompany you and enjoy the vista. Some customers get grumpy about such environments and need to find solice elsewhere rather than ruining this environment. The staff is nice and personable. Facility is clean and is ample parking. We headed over to blue moon bakery after a nice morning session of yoga and it was exactly what we needed! The menu has a lot of healthy options - salads sandwiches, and it also has pizza and baked goodies. Do not skimp out on the baked goods, every single one I tried was delicious! Updating review for the fresh bagels (amazing) and the baked goods. The cupcakes look amazing and taste pretty good to boot. The bagels are so fresh they nearly melt in your mouth. I had one as a sandwich for lunch and it was so good. Would definitely come here for a bagel breakfast sandwich. My family came here with high hopes that this place would exceeded our expectations. They felt pretty short of it with cleanliness and service. The gentleman at the front counter was handing out pizzas and handling all sorts of of other things without sanitizing his hands. When I asked about individual items on the menu, he shook his head and said I don't know what to tell you. It's pizza... Very sad to work at a company like this and have this little care about the product. He literally put his hand on my brothers pizza as he was handing it to him... The person in the back with long hair and a massive beanie was picking his nose at the same time, while literally eating food and preparing pizzas... The place overall was pretty dirty, and quite frankly does not live up to its, already sad, 3.8 star reputation. read more

This place is great! We started with the space balls (garlic knots) they were crispy, garlicky, and moist. I had the dirt bag club. It was a good size and tasty. Ordered $9 sausage gravy biscuits only to find out 10 minutes after I ordered they had no sausage gravy- offered to make some and takes an hour. My friends and I happen to have stumbled into this place after finishing a yoga class not to far away. We were hoping to find something fresh as we've noticed that fresh produce wasn't as abundant in Montana as it is back at home in California. Blue Moon Bakery completely satisfied our craving. The Health Nut sandwich was a on a multi grain bread with turkey, tomato, lettuce, onions and sprouts. I asked to have hummus and pepperoncinis added and it wasn't a problem at all. I was surprised that they didn't charge me for the additional items. The cashier also asked me if I wanted mayo or mustard on the sandwich as well. The only complaint I have it that the bread slice may have been too thick when I saw another person order the same sandwich so quickly I asked the cashier if they can make the bread a little thinner. The sandwich itself was not out of this world but it was very tasty. Also, the sandwich was generous in the amount of turkey meat that it was with. Prices were a little high in my opinion. However, I think the cost of produce is generally higher here or that's what I've noticed in the local grocery stores. The sandwich came with some ridged plain potato chips and a pickle spear. Also, had a sample of the biscuit and gravy someone else ordered. This was definitely indulgent and delicious. They also serve pizza for those of you who are not interested in sandwiches. If I ever come back to Big Sky, Montana, I would definitely come back to Blue Moon Bakery for breakfast or lunch. read more

Fabulous breakfast spot. We got all sorts of goodies and packed them up for later. I had the 3 cheese bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. Wonderful! The bagel was stellar, and I'm a bagel snob. We also had the cinnamon roll, which was big and very sweet. My husband had the chocolate croissant, which he enjoyed. We took some baked goods home and everything was great. We ask at the counter "Do you have gluten free crust?" Their response was "Our dough actually is made with the highest quality and quantity of gluten. It's SOOOO good". After ordering our pizzas, we were going to order bottled water and they ask "Bro, why would you spend $4 on a bottle when you could have fresh Montana water for free?" That in summary is the experience at Blue Moon Bakery: unapologetically REAL, just a bunch of bros baking breathtaking breads, bagels, sandwiches, and pizzas. You can't help but smile the entire time you're there because not only is the food INCREDIBLE, odds are you'll be sucked into the good vibes of the place where the workers are cracking jokes and playing air guitar to jams blasting on high. They really do care about their customers though! They made our gluten free family member a lettuce wrapped tuna sandwich - definitely not on the menu but they wouldn't allow her to just order parts of a sandwich without presenting it to her as an actual dish. They've got culinary integrity, just not the bougie attitude. THE PIZZA. OH MY GOSH I THINK THIS IS THE BEST PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD. The crust it the most amazing feature: a spiraled, hand kneaded dough that comes out fluffy and chewy on the inside but crunchy on the outside. Covid time review: Made a super quick stop in to Blue Moon Bakery for a cookie and a peek around. Staff at the counter and in the kitchen are masked and they offer hand sanitizer at the entrance, and it appears as if they eliminated all indoor tables. There is an abundance of colorful outdoor seating in front. The place is called a bakery but in addition to baked goods including desserts (cookies, brownies, bars) and breads (baguettes!!) they also offer whole pizzas and slices, salads, and sandwiches. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and it was already prepared. My spouse ordered a cinnamon roll and our friend ordered a cheese and tomato bagel breakfast sandwich. Here's where the problem is...we left the counter with my breakfast sandwich and cinnamon roll. Our friend's sandwich came out when we were nearly finished eating ours. Ideally everything would be provided at the same time. There was only one guy working the register when we were there. A big group followed us so the solo diner that came after them had a long wait to order his - already prepared and in the warmer - breakfast sandwich. Coffee was soooo good. But if you want something fancier, there's a coffee shop in same shopping area. Overall, the food was delicious! I'd say just plan on a little wait if you don't get something prepared.
