...bless my father... My father loves coffee. He drinks two coffees every morning. It's a lot I know... it was our first time in Montana, let. Me. Tell. You. We were going shopping looking around the small town and Dad wanted coffee. He ordered the same thing. He does every time coffee with one splenda and oat milk. DONT. ORDER. OATMILK!.. my poor father immediately felt sick after he drank the coffee and threw up on the side of the road then we thought he was feeling fine after we went to the hotel and ended up getting sicker and having to be escorted to the hospital... THE ACTUAL HOSPITAL! because he drank expired oat milk, at least I think that's what was wrong with the oat milk.. but they confirmed it definitely was the oat milk everyone else had coffee and they were fine-the service was mid. The place was pretty... but we had to leave early and completely ruined our vacation my father felt horrible inside and outside if u know what i mean... thank you so much cowboy coffee for absolutely ruining my fathers stomach. Perhaps the best coffee drinks ever. The Mexican mocha had the right amount of chocolate, cayenne, cinnamon and nutmeg. The honey badger also had cayenne and cinnamon with a bit of honey. Huckleberry Mud pot latte is soooo yummy!!! I can't get anything like that where I live so I made sure to live it up and enjoyed it so much. Service was welcoming and very efficient for the busy line of people waiting. Cute spot with in door tables and outdoor seating as well as a couch area. Big Sky is a really scenic place to vacation! Had my first visit and was wowed by the amazing views and activities. Of course my search for the best coffee and tea was on! I scoured Yelp and finally found a great coffee plus eatery - Cowboy Coffee! Absolutely a huge menu full of choices for coffees and teas. I opted for a Bhakti Chai which is black tea, cane sugar, spices, spicy ginger. It was heavenly - just like the view of the mountains! Lovely little coffee place that always seemed semi-busy! It was a short walk from The Wilson where I was staying and worth it to trek over instead of getting the standard hotel coffee. Not a good experience and would not recommend this place. I ordered 5 coffees. Iced Lattes were watery and barely cold. They gave them to me without tops and the coffee was spilling everywhere when I tried to put the tops on. I had to ask twice for carriers. The carriers only fit 2 cups each and were too small for the tops of the 16 oz, causing the tops to pop off and coffee to continue spilling. Lady taking orders was nice but the other workers did not seem to care until they saw the mess. I rarely leave 1 star reviews but I left this place very upset. read more

Cowboy Coffee is a gem in Big Sky! This local coffee shop had me immediately with its Grateful Dead inspired logos and its distinct vibe (I didn't expect to find a Dead Head theme in Big Sky, but here we are!). It's also connected indoors to Montana Supply Co., which makes for a pretty cool hybrid shopping and cafe experience. I really don't get the low average on Cowboy Coffee. Big Sky is a small town and their aren't exactly a lot of local coffee shops. The world is short staffed right now, so even when I visited, they were clearly going through a training moment with new staff. Just remember to be kind and patient and you'll be just fine at Cowboy Coffee! I didn't order any food here, but we did order coffee ahead of time to-go a few times during our stay. Our order was correct every time! I really loved the Huckleberry Mudpot, which is a play on the infamous Montana huckleberry. The staff were super nice and chatty and genuinely interested in getting to know us (I'm sure they know all the locals immediately). We had such a nice time here, members of my family bought merch and we even told my local family to come back and be regulars here. Cheers to Cowboy Coffee! read more

When we asked which was ours, they just rudely replied "the name should be on them". I shouldn't have to touch everyone's coffee to find mine. The lady in front of me almost spilled all over because she couldn't find hers. It's their job to help customers. The lack of customer service was very disappointing. Montana Supply- Do not shop here if you want to find a good deal. My boyfriend found a Filson jacket he liked in the store for $245. After researching online, he found the same one and the same size and color for $145. We asked the staff if they offered price matching and they said no. How can you not price match when the same item is on sale on the Filson website? When researching other brands in the store, you can find much better deals online than you can in the store. You can find unique items to Montana Supply, like coffee mugs and candles, but if you're looking for a good deal on high quality clothes then I would shop online and not waste your money here. read more

This is a great place for coffee with a friend or getting some work done. There are several tables and chairs to get cozy. The coffee is decent. I particularly the Mexican Mocha. The food is really hit or miss, and not consistent. We have liked the burritos and empanadas. I generally like the Granger, but the quality is inconsistent. I had to throw the last one away (it was take out) because the bagel was not toasted (or even warm), the bacon was half-cooked, and the avocado was brown and tasted off. For the price, I feel the quality should be better. read more

Myself and my coworkers online order here multiple times a week, placing large orders for employees to enjoy an afternoon pick me up. I usually have a great experience with the service and quality of our drinks/food. This morning, I paced an order for three unsweetened matcha lattes (as I often order) When I arrived to pick up my order I was told I needed to pay the difference since the app does not offer an "unsweetened" button. I was confused by this considering I've ordered this same way for a year and not been asked to pay more for leaving sugar out of a drink. The difference was $4.25. It's not my fault that the app is not programed correctly and it's deceptive business practice to charge someone more after they have already paid in full online. It's really disappointing considering how often we frequent this business and now will take our business elsewhere where locals are valued and aren't being nickel and dimed. read more

This location is cursed. Cowboy Coffee, like many of its predecessors started off great: great coffee, great food, and great service. After just a few months I will not go here anymore after the completely foul experience this morning. Breakfast sandwich had a congealed egg yoke and barely cooked bacon fat. One of our drinks was not made and instead of apologizing for the mistake the manager lied and said she made it and someone must have taken it. Someone needs to teach young people how to take responsibility for their mistakes. No apology was given and when a refund was asked for you would think they were doing us a favor. It is very sad to see a new place with so much potential descend so quickly over the past few months. Recommendation: take your business elsewhere. read more
