This company made it seem like they would follow through with the sale of garage items, but ultimately they wanted a vehicle the wasn't even a part of the sale nor was it at the property. They're so patient and forgiving when the buyer makes a mistake.One of my favorite auction houses in Arizona. I don't even look at their pictures. Buyer Beware. I have been working with "Rowlan" for the past five days, preparing for the auction Rowlan said would be conducted next week. He initially said he would come on Monday to take his own photos, and then wanted to switch to Tuesday. And then finally on Wednesday (tomorrow). And then finally, after ignoring my multiple text messages, "Stephanie" calls and says she doesn't want to "disappoint" us and that she doesn't think they will be able to work with us to sell the equipment from the family business that closed 5 weeks ago. I'm sure from Stephanie's point of view, this is no harm, no foul. But when someone tells you clearly, both verbally and in writing as I did that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE, and then you back out after five days of wasted effort, there is absolutely a "foul". I will at least credit Stephanie and to a lesser extent Rowlan for not continuing leading us on as to their intentions. I will tell you also that I began to be concerned nearly from the start, when Rowlan did not call me back as he said he would. But I didn't make an issue of this and attributed it to possible miscommunication. But as the days wore on, the level of responsiveness became increasingly concerning. Finally yesterday, I began to do searches of reviews for Blue Leaf Auctions. I would strongly advise you to do the same before signing a contract with Blue Leaf Auctions. You may have a perfectly wonderful experience with Rowlan and Stephanie. But beware of the warning signs of unprofessional and inadequate communication and promises unfulfilled. My feedback for Rowlan is to be more forthright and direct and communicate sooner. Perhaps also consider the axiom to under promise and over deliver, instead of the other way around. PS - We did ask to move the initial appointment from an unspecified time on Tuesday to after 12 noon, or Monday. Eventually, it was set for Wednesday. We had a terrible experience with Blue Leaf Estate Auctions. They do not live up to their word. The whole estate auction took place at our father's house in the Spanish language. I don't speak a lot of Spanish but understood enough to know they were practically giving the household contents away. They have refused to provide us with an itemized inventory of what they sold & for how much in spite of the fact it was all being recorded by one of their employees as it was ongoing. We're supposed to accept their word on how much we made from the sale. We have no idea how much they took for themselves. I highly do not recommend Stephanie, Roland or Blue Leaf Estate Auctions. I went to my first Blue Leaf Estate Auction on Friday the 10th and was extremely disappointed. Before taking my time on a Friday to attend the auction, I reviewed the pictures posted of the items to be available. There were 2 nice, vintage Schwinn bicycles and a newer Trek road bike. Upon arriving and searching for the bikes, I was told they were not available and they "didn't have time" to bring them and "these things happen." My friend who accompanied me was told they could be offered to me in a private sale or I could attend tomorrow's auction. Bait and switch? Unethical? Unprofessional? All of the above? To make things worse, my friend bid on some game systems and games in two separate lots. The game systems didn't work and more than half of the games were empty and most of the others were badly scratched and unusable. A nice way to get rid of damaged goods to unsuspecting buyers. I would give this company and this experience zero (0) stars and suggest to avoid them in the future. read more

John V's post is a lie. They didn't sell everything in two hours. They don't sell everything EVER! What they do is charge $250 to take away what they don't sell and then add to other auctions or sell down town town. They also DO NOT START AT MINIMUMS!! It's in their contracts. Our contract they were to research items (they didn't). They were to post images with descriptions and currant fair market values (they randomly posted images and most of the images were not next to other images of the same item. It was in our contract to NOT sell multiple items on talked I lots. Sure enough. It started. I had to stop it. I know they stole items and I know hey didn't go though all the boxes that we had. We found two boxes full of silver. Platters, coins, cups, spoons, you name it. They were not listed and were not sold. They didn't go through everything. Even employees bid which pissed of people. Rowan DOES NOT OWN THE COMPANY like he says. I assumed he has some Earlier legal or financial issues that prevents ownership. But he says he owns it from the first minute. I had to beg and threaten to get receipts if Guns they sold. They also sold them illegally which left me on the hook. They took bids from Men BUT female names & writing were in the bill of sale. This is ILLEGAL! You can not bid in an auction for no antiques weapons and another pay and have them registered to that person. I don't know how they came out of no where and are suddenly doing well. Rowan is a bully, try's to talk you into selling items you do NOT want to sell. He'll say "it's to gain Interest. Reality: He just wants $! Could care less about you. When you say no then he try's to bully you. JUST STAY AWAY!! I have read a dozen negative posted compared to 6 positive and 3 of the + were employed. Liar, cheat, thief, contract breaker, bully. As a buyer, you'll get good deals. As a seller, you'll get screwed. The auctioneer plays favorites in the crowd, misses bids, and generally seems to be more eager to be done than eager to sell things. People actively move, hide, and recombine lots, putting junk on top and valuables on the bottom of boxes......then the boxes aren't opened to show the contents. People in the crowd ask for 'choice' on large lots but are ignored. Absolutely no effort was made to understand what was being sold, and the value of individual items was clearly not known. Rooms are sold by the wall: "Everything on this side of the room, 5 bucks." This leads to buyers bidding on and paying for a group of items, then picking out the one or two that they want and leaving the rest.....which then conveniently is available to be sold again later. If the auctioneer doesn't get the opening price he wants, the lot goes unsold. Most auction houses will combine lots to sell items and make more money for the seller and the house. These folks just move on and leave the item unsold. Oddly enough, some of the obvious favorites in the crowd walk away with the unsold items later. If you want to buy things super cheap, this is the place to go. If you're trying to sell an estate, you'd probably be better off donating it all to charity and taking the tax deduction. read more

We just completed our 3rd Auction with Blue Leaf on Saturday, September 15, and in 2.5 hours, everything was SOLD. I am a REALTOR and this one was for our personal residence and we could not be more pleased. EVERYONE should know that you better be organized and not expect Blue Leaf to show up 2 hours early and then put all your stuff together? In addition, separate lower price from more expensive items and you can set minimums on EXPENSIVE ITEMS. Lastly, BE THERE! Rowlan will ask you questions about the items, brand, price paid etc and that will help you get a better price. NO SHOW...then how does he know and items go to highest bidder. read more

Rowlan, Isaiah, Jennifer, and all the Blue Leaf staff were terrific. From the initial contact to the bitter end, they were respectful of the estate and us. I dropped in to watch the auction and it was fun to watch (i did not have a sentimental attachment to any of the sale items, might not have been as fun if I had) There was some organized chaos going on, as is to be expected during such an event, but I was very satisfied overall with the process. I read the poor reviews, but I had none of the problems the bad reviews encountered. I saw nothing in the contract that guaranteed everything would sell. They did indicate that they would work with us to remove items that did not sell, if we wanted. Why anyone would think that service would be free??? We chose to donate the remainder of the items. Very disorganized rag-tag group of people running an auction. No previews for the items being auctioned off. They intentionally misled the buyers trying to make them believe that there are people bidding when there is actually no one bidding. Very dishonest way to run an auction. I recently had an experience with BLUE Leaf Estate Auctions. At first I was encourage, as Rowlan Hill & Stephanie Garcia promised weekly updates & a DVD which was to included photos and detailed descriptions documenting the items that i trusted them to take. The items included a Rolex watch, multiple fur coats, various pieces of high-end clothing designer purses and several pieces of expensively acquired jewelry. The trust I was willing to afford them was immediately put in jeopardy when they failed to keep me updated, as they promised. What should of been a good experience turned out to be 6 months of agonizing chaos Rowlan & Stephanie made Many promises but never followed through on any of them. Their vague and poorly hand-written contract they had me to sign was the first red flag that I regret ignoring. I contacted them on several occasions to request a update and to find out when I could expect the DVD and itemized list, that they assured me I would receive within a month. After 4 months of constantly emailing & calling them, still nothing! No itemized list,no DVD & absolutely zero communication unless I called them myself. They had a excuse for everything!! Eventually, 6 months from signing of the contract, I was given a PALTRY check. They never supplied me with a explanation as to what was sold & when my items sold. At this point I concluded that they never intended on supplying me with a DVD of photos & itemized list. Bottom line, I had indeed been scammed & taken advantage of by this less than professional company with their wishy-washy business practices. I rarely write reviews; however, in this instance it should be know that I believe Blue Leaf Auctions is a company that preys on the elderly or those who are simply in a difficult circumstance. We have to agree that our experience with Blue Leaf Estate Auctions in April-May-June of 2019 falls in line with others who posted negative reviews. We decided to use Blue Leaf Estate Auctions on the recommendation of a realtor. An elderly relative was moving out of state and didn't want to move his household items with him. The realtor suggested we handle the liquidating of the estate in this manner partially because the home is located in a gated community with home owner association rules that limit options for estate liquidation. The comments in one negative review about bait and switch and unprofessionalism is also what we experienced. The bait and switch feelings happened in a number of different ways starting with my initial phone, text and email contact with one particular employee, however, at the face-to-face meeting (which had been set up weeks in advance) a different employee showed up. This in-person meeting consisted of the realtor, my elderly relative, another family member and myself- all of us felt it was not right that the employee I initially spoke with did not come to the meeting. During the in-person meeting the Blue Leaf employee emphatically stated "everything will sell." He proceeded to explain how the auctioneer has years of experience and will group things together, selling items with other things so all items will get sold. Because of the employees input there was not any discussion of how to handle items that didn't sell and that was a mistake. Not only did a lot of things not sell, a number of items were not even offered for bid during the auction! Which was not at all what we expected. Also at the meeting this employee began to take photos of various items around the house. I was uncomfortable about that because we were in the process of packing personal belongings. I explained how some items he was photographing would not be in the house. He assured me the photos he was taking "would not be posted (to their website), they were just to show his boss." That comment was also untrue, he did post the picture. When I requested the employee remove some photos from Blue Leaf's website, they were removed. However, this dishonest action by the employee further instilled the feelings we were having of 'bait and switch'. We held out hope that the owners, who handle the sale, would be more reliable. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience. The contract we signed stated the auction would be held May 18th. Within 48 hours of our signing the contract Blue Leaf requested a change of date to the 26th. The realtor was not thrilled about the change of date but accommodated their request. The realtor was the only representative of the client (seller) present for the auction and he stayed the entire day. The realtors comment when I asked how he felt about the overall experience; "I definitely was not pleased with the change of date, the set-up prior to the auction and the follow-up you received afterwards." The signed contract states, "Auctioneer will mail Seller's summary and proceeds from the Auction to Seller's Address within 10 business days after the Auction is complete." This did not happen! On the 11th business day after the completed auction the client had not received any contact from Blue Leaf so I emailed the employee whom I had initially communicated with inquiring as to why we had not heard from his company. On the 12th business day after the completed auction I called that employee. Receiving his voice mail I left a message. The employee did not get back to me but Stephanie did. She left a message on my voice mail saying she was behind due to a death in the family and she would work on the summary that evening and get a check mailed out the next day. I also received this email message from her that same day; "I'd like to apologize for the delay in getting this information to you, been a hectic two weeks. Attached please find the breakdown from the auction. I'll email over the tracking number tomorrow after I drop the check off at the post office. Again my sincere apologies and thank you for being patient." I never received the tracking number she promised. On June 20th I emailed Blue Leaf Estate Auction again. This was my email message; "To say I am disappointed in your company's actions, from the day we met with your company's personnel on April 24th, is putting it mildly. There has been a number of misrepresentations and lack of communication and proper follow through from your company. From a business point-of-view the lack of follow through and professionalism from your company is most likely a breach of contract. From an emotional point-of-view this experience has been very disturbing and extremely disruptive while going through a very difficult situation. We have been more than patient. Please...If you are going to have an estate sale, do yourself a favor and don't use this company. They present themselves well and talk a good game but I am devastated by what happened with my houseful of good furniture! A $3000.00 bedroom set was sold at "auction" for only $175.00. A Crate and Barrel white dining table with 6 chairs sold for $100.00 when it was purchased for $1600.00. I had 6 sets of dishes (from 6place settings up to 12 settings). They were sold as a block for $5.00. One of the worst problems was we had 4 huge pots on the side of the house with established grape vines growing up an arbor. I never thought I would have to specify that these were not for sale (I did already specify what WAS for sale in the back yard). They were taken, by the auctioneer, and "sold" for $20.00 each. Are you kidding me? To me they were an actual part of the house, which was not for sale. I was given $10.00 each more as compensation. Really! Now, I did not expect close to full price on these items. But, they were in excellent condition and I would have thought I would get about 40 percent. This is why I used an "established" and well known company with a "large following" and email contact list. Do not use them! Then, some of the worst things...they left my key under a pot and told a number of people where it was so they could come back and collect their purchases later. I had just eek eyed the whole house! This was such a lapse of security. Then we found that food we had left in the refrigerator and freezer for dinner the next night was taken. This included a $60.00 bottle of champagne that we were going to drink to celebrate getting the house project finished! Well....someone is celebrating but it isn't me! Purched a large item, price marked up during auction via "on line bidder". We explained can't pick up item same day and Blue Leaf said if we purchase we have till end of month to pick up. When we attempted to pick up item, new home owners moved in early. Blue Leaf ignored our phone calls and texts for refund. We had to take to court and won. I had an estate sale company that was going to sell my stuff and they canceled on me at the last minute. I went online and found Blue Leaf Estate Auctions and they came out and were able to have my auction within the week. I was so surprised how many people showed up to buy stuff. My kitchen table brought more than I paid for it three years ago. They even sold the plastic forks and paper plates, it was really cool because at the end of the sale the house was empty and there was nothing left to take to Goodwill. I have been going to Blueleaf for several years. I have always found that they go out of their way to make sure that they are getting the best price for their clients family. Stephanie and the girls who run check in and check out desk are detailed and meticulous. Roland is personal and knows the value of product. If he doesn't feel he is "gettng" the value he moves on and we will not sell the product unless the owner says to sell. You can get very good value in purchasing products at auctions. Do not feel that you will be getting retail value for selling your product at auctions. The value is determined by the people who are willing to bid on the product.
